I've have been living on 23rd and btw 8 and 9ave. For over 15 years I try this place twice or more already I love going over there because of the colors choices. So after today I am not ever going back. I also do it with a guy name pag or pac and he obviously never remembers me. But when I went today after I pay. He takes out a calculator to show me how much tip he should get it. Just like you go to restaurants is 15% etc now there are people who can take it and say okay 10% of the and that but I never ever been in nail salon who takes out calculator to show me his tip. I think I find it super rude and disrespectful. Half of the crew don't even talk English like. How can you run a business like that when owner doesn't even speak or who ever was in front English ???? I think that costumers should give what ever they please. Or yes they deserve 15% 10% whatever service costumers get but don't take a calculator and show me in my face. Write in a paper or put up in sign where costumers can read it. After that experience I'm never going to go over there just cause I want to feel Pamper not pressure to give tip. Rating for pedicures only! I get really frustrated w the pedicures at this place because the manicures are so awesome. It might also be because my other go-to place which I schlep to Queens for is so amazing and a pedicure there is thorough, a pleasant experience and easily takes 40mins. Every pedicure I've ever had here is 20mins at best, feels constanly rushed, the women is heavy handed, the scrubbing might as well be non existant. A pedicure is not just painting your toes a pretty color, its supposed to be a complete de-scraping of your feet, getting rid of hard skin not 2 swipes of a sponge and your done. I think I have been unlucky to get the same woman twice but either way, its just too annoying to go back (for pedicures) read more

I love this place. It's right across the street from my apartment. The staff is friendly, the salon is incredibly clean. The shellac manicures are great and they charge a couple dollars less than most places in the area. Overall I'm always very pleased. read more

I regularly go to the location on 9th between 25th & 26th. Angela or Sung do my mani/pedis. They are both great. I have been to the other location a couple of times before the 2nd location opened and I really disliked it. Both times my manis came out bad and it was rushed. I will never go to the location between 22nd and 23rd again. The location between 25th and 26th is the one that gets 4 stars from me. Great pricing, friendly staff. read more

I have been coming to this nail salon for 3-4 years and I have always had a nice experience. The lady who runs the place always recongizes me and makes sure I am seated quickly. I usually come in for the mani/pedi with the 10 minute foot massage which is great especially for the ~$33 price tag. I have even brought my boyfriend with me on occasion and now he has started asking me more often when we can go back ;-). A pure spa is nothing fancy but it is clean and it gets the job done. read more

I have been going here exclusively since they opened a block from my apartment. I have been getting mani/pedi in NYC nail salons for 30 years and I am totally committed to Lily, Candy, Serena and the whole amazing staff here! The salon is so clean and sanitary. The prices are also terrific and they take their time with every customer. I always add on extra chair massages because they are also great! Best mani pedi massage experience in ny so far! I've been to two others, and left feeling like I could have done a better job of shaping and polishing at home. My mani lasted over a week with barely chipping, usually I go two days before that starts, not sure what top coat they use but it works. Service is great too, the ladies are super sweet and even though I was cutting it close to their closing time I didn't feel rushed at all. The place is very affordable so I tipped well because I know I'll be back. I'd rather go here where I know I'll receive great service and my nails will look good than a cheaper deal off life booker for something mediocre. read more

Everything one could want in a go-to nail salon! Prices are par for the course but the service and atmosphere is better than the average NYC corner nail salon. Everyone is very kind and attentive. This place is fantastic: they are friendly, very clean, and more than reasonably priced. While Serena excels at providing facials, waxing, and nail care, everyone on the staff takes extra care and are extremely attentive. I have tried multiple places all over the city and still come back here despite moving out of the neighborhood many, many years ago. read more

this is my second time coming here and I regret coming here they over price me all the time to take of GEL THAT HAD LEFT IN 3 nails was $7 .. once she told me ,she was already doing it . That bothered me so much and once she notice I was upset she had her attitude and was doing a sloppy job I came for the " mani & pedi special $28.00 " came out total of 39 with a sloppy very rude dollars .. and when I left her a tip she said out loud only $2??!! Clean, calm and great service. Huge polish selection. Massage chairs for pedicures and a flat screen tv showing tranquil underwater scenes. Mani, pedi plus 10 minutes of foot massage for $30. That's what I normally pay for just a pedi. Great find! read more

I've been to a million nail salons in NYC and this is BY FAR the best. The staff is polite and nice, the place is super clean, and you cannot beat the prices. Also a lot of nail salons complain when you don't tip enough etc but not here!! They're so grateful no matter what. Don't waste your time going anywhere else. I paid for a 'speacial' mani pedi and in the end disappointed. The pedicure was fine. I asked for clear nail hardener for my manicure but only received one coat of a top coat polish and as you all know it was done quickly. I did say something and the gal just looked around her and in her draw as if she was looking for something but only said 'yes clear top coat' and I noted again that I wanted a nail hardener or at least another coat. She continued to be dumbfounded. So I let it go and put my toes under the dryer... after some chat w/ someone in the solon she came over to me to add another coat... no thanks! I tipped her very well too and that was before the lack of lacquer. There are more nail solons and will move on... read more

Been using this nail place for about a year and a half. I've never been overly pleased with their service or employees but it's the closest to where I live. The latest that sent me over the edge was I went in this past Friday and got a regular manicure. Later that night I noticed the paint bubbled on about 7 of the nails. I was out of the city all day Saturday and could not go back so I went back today (Sunday) to have it fixed. Two employees acknowledged that they saw it but because I waited over 24 hours, they don't know if I put something on my nails for it to happen, and they would charge me to get another manicure at this point. For any other outcome I have to wait to speak to the manager when she's available. I visit this nail place about once a week, and would expect way better service and accommodation. Not sure why it's so hard for nail salons to treat people with respect when they're spending their money at their establishment. This place ISN'T worth it, and I'll definitely be going elsewhere. Shame on their employees, and manager Lily for advising them to treat clientele this way. read more

I went here 3 times. Mainly because I love using the ANC for my nails (been having it done for years at another salon, but unfortunately my nail tech left that salon). The first time the owner did my nails - she clearly didn't know the ANC process. Within a week the product was popping off (it usually lasts up to 3 weeks without a problem). I had made a follow up appointment combined with a pedicure. I decided to give them another try. The pedicure was amazing - Flora did it. Time for my nails. The owner started the process then midway through passed me onto Julia (don't know why). Julia seems to understand the ANC a little bit better. But she was constantly asking me why I need to do ANC - I should switch to gel. I kept telling them I like the ANC and they didn't understand why. Does it matter why? It's what I want - period. When leaving I did not make a follow up for my nails, but I did make an appointment for a pedicure with Flora. I come back 10 minutes before my scheduled pedicure appointment with Flora. The shop was pretty busy and I said I was here for my pedicure appointment the owner looked puzzled, looked in her book and said it would be a little wait. Well, 40 minutes later a chair is available and I don't get Flora. She's working on someone else. I did not like girl who did my pedicure - it was rushed through because they were busy. Why bother making an appointment. Anyway, that was the last time that I have gone there. I don't recommend it. read more

Recently got overcharged b/c I chose something stupid on their spa menu, shame on me. Then last week I got overcharged because they conned me, shame on them. I was very clear about what I wanted - the combo gel mani & reg pedicure, and did NOT ask for a separate foot massage, but asked if the massage was included in the regular pedicure (was told yes way before we got to that point) and then was charged for a separate gel mani, regular pedicure and a 10 minute foot massage that came to around $65 instead of the $47 I was expecting (+tip) I told them it was really uncool and wrong, and made a bit of a scene because they were openly calling me crazy and giving me no choice but to pay, it was really inappropriate. I understand they are working hard, but lying and overcharging is not how you keep customers. I also understand if there was a communication issue, but there was no attempt to apologize or fix it, they just told me I was crazy and were rude - I go in there all the time and they didn't care that I said I'd never come back. read more
