Came on a Saturday evening with my partner. The space isn't too large, but it's spacious, clean, and comfortable. I purchased the BOGO-free al pastor tacos, steak bowls, and a free churro ice cream. **WARNING:** I have not eaten at Chipotle in YEARS, so I don't have a taco bowl from there to compare this to. Keep that in mind when reading my review! FOOD **Steak Bowl:** Personally, I really enjoyed the steak bowl. The meat is tender and has a really nice tangy, spiced flavor. The toppings feel more elevated compared to Chipotle, with esquites, fresh vegetables (including cucumber), guacomole, and Peruvian beans. The rice was also well seasoned. I agree that the price is on the higher side, but I like to mix it with additional salad at home to stretch it into two meals, and that works for me! Their green and red salsas are also both really good. **Al Pastor Pork Taco:** I'm not going to lie--price-wise, this one is kind of crazy. Almost $12 for ONE taco is A LOT. But there is a TON of meat and a really nice chunk of cheese. It's quite tasty and filling, and since they have other lower-cost taco options, those might be a better choice if you're watching your budget. I also really want to highlight the **chips**. They did leave a slightly oily feeling in my mouth, but in terms of flavor, they are SO good! Imagine the crispy part of a French fry, but in the size and shape of a chip. It's exactly like that! The salsa that comes with the taco is a creamy chili sauce, and it's also super tasty. **Churro Short Serve Ice Cream:** It is like an extra cinnamony horchata flavor! It comes with a cookie that taste like a slightly less cinnamony biscoft. Super tasty! Texture is similar to a frozen yogurt! So a little icy but i like it! SERVICE The service is 5 stars. Everyone was so nice and really seemed to anticipate ways to make the experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible. And I'm a sucker for good customer service, so even if the prices are on the higher side, I would come back every once in a while to support them and have a nice meal. OVERALL I would come back! Maybe not super often because of the prices, but I'd definitely keep this place in mind when I'm craving a good steak bowl or tacos.

We got a birria bowl and a poblano bowl. Both full of flavor! The bowls are packed to the brim. Tried the red salsa & habanero, both were great. The lady at the front counter was really helpful and kind. We were greeted by all of the team the moment we walked in. Very clean inside and good music playing. Will definitely be back.

We were a little hesitant to try this place due to the poor reviews but my sister had a coupon for it so we decided to try it! We are vegetarian so we only had one bowl and one taco option and couldn't have the beef tallow chips. Al, who seemed like the owner, was a little rusty on the ordering machine but the 2 other cashiers and servers were great! The food was so good! Highly recommend the parlando pepper taco. The tortilla was incredible and the baked on sauce and cheese added to the deliciousness. The filling was great too. This could be the best veggie taco I've had! The bowl was very large...we split 2 amongst 3 of us and still had leftover. We got one worh peruvian beans and 1 with black. The portions are generous. It was also presented beautifully. Only recommendation would be to have a veggie protein we could add to the bowl or taco.

I've been here three times now, and I have to say, it's always a great experience. Returning customers is a true sign of quality. The food is fresh, prepared quickly, and made with healthy ingredients and quality meats. The service is friendly, and the owners are welcoming--they even greet you personally. Supporting this local, family-run business is a no-brainer. Some might complain about the prices, but let's be honest--this is California, specifically Chino, where everything tends to be more expensive these days.

If you're in the mood for great taco's chill environment in this heat. You definitely want to try this spot. They just came out with new pricing so I'm going to make this spot one of my routine treats. Don't skip the churro cream!!

For a freshly opened restaurant the service was good, and the ambiance inside is clean. The food is decent, but could use some tweaking on portions for the price. I got the bowls using a BOGO coupon they sent out in the mail. Total was ~$18, so in this case 9$ per bowl, so not bad this time around. As someone who frequents places in LA like Leo's Tacos, I'm not excited with the flavor and texture of the al pastor, and the meat portion of the bowl is small for 18$ normally, with the meat borderline hidden underneath some of these other toppings. It's nice plating and I appreciate the variety of ingredients, but I'd expect the meat to be where any Mexican restaurant let's their skills and flavors shine. The sauces all seem to be original flavors and house-made and I really enjoyed those, especially the green one. If the meat portions and flavors are tweaked I'd be happy to get this bowl again. I was also similarly shocked when I saw other reviews talking about the $10 per taco. Not even in the most vibey-silverlake attempts at reinterpreting Mexican cuisine would I entertain $7 a taco, let alone $10. I really miss the Taco Man near Euclid before they relocated to Upland since I think they had their flavors and saudes down to a science. For tacos in this area, I usually stick to Tacos El Juanito near Cardenas and the 60. Pure flavor and none of the fuss. Angel's Tijuana Tacos is also not too far over in Riverside, so the competition for flavor is fierce. Would love the option for cheap, flavorful street tacos here at AQ, too, especially since this plaza serves so many of the nearby suburbs. It sounds like the other reviewers are also looking for a good place to support, but I don't see myself settling for a place just because it's closeby.

I was excited to see a new restaurant open in the neighborhood and wanted to give it a try before bringing my family. Unfortunately, the pricing felt very high for what was served. A single taco was $12, and a carne asada quesadilla was $17, with a drink and a small cup of rice and beans, the total came to over $30. At those prices, I expected the food to really stand out, but it didn't. The taco was decent, but it wasn't memorable or worth the premium cost in my opinion. The portions were also smaller than expected. The menu was also very limited which could be good if the items were outstanding. The service was good, and the staff was friendly and attentive, which I appreciated. However, the overall value just wasn't there for me. I wish the restaurant success, but I don't see myself returning regularly.

AQ Tacos in Chino absolutely exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I noticed how spotless and welcoming the restaurant was. The dining area was clean, organized, and had such a fresh, inviting atmosphere that made it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made me feel appreciated as a customer, which always makes the experience even better. The food was incredible and every bite was packed with flavor. Not only was everything delicious, but the presentation was stunning. My bowl was filled with vibrant, fresh colors that immediately caught my eye--the bright guacamole, juicy tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, perfectly seasoned rice, creamy beans, grilled corn, pickled onions, fresh crema, and tender, flavorful birria all came together to create a meal that looked just as amazing as it tasted. Every ingredient tasted fresh, and you could tell they don't cut corners on quality. The Birria was juicy and perfectly seasoned, the guacamole was rich and creamy, the vegetables were crisp, and the house salsa added just the right amount of smoky, bold flavor without overpowering the rest of the dish. Every bite had the perfect balance of textures and flavors. It's rare to find a place that nails both presentation and taste, but AQ Tacos does exactly that. The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the attention to detail really shines through in every dish they serve. Whether you're looking for an incredible taco, burrito, or a loaded bowl like mine, this place delivers on every level. If you're anywhere near Chino and craving authentic, fresh Mexican food made with care, AQ Tacos is an absolute must-visit. I'll definitely be coming back again and again!

    Crushed Tortilla Chips

Very Pleasant experience at this NEW Taco spot in town. It just opened; and is Shiny and inviting. The girl at the register was friendly and the gentleman in the back (Most likely the owner) was very friendly too. I ordered the "Walking Taco" first time to have "nacho style" dish served in a bag. The Steak was perfect. The flavors you would expect were all there. But the only negative thing I would have to say was that the bag was filled with all crushed tortilla chips (the kind you would find at the bottom of a bag that was crushed). I'm no expert but it was annoying to see that all the chips were crushed. This would be my only issue with the "Walking Taco". This made the dish not so appetizing. Did I say that they are Very Friendly there. Customer Service gets 5 stars. I hope to come back to try their other menu offerings.

    Bowl (Pork)

I've been here a couple of times, the staff is really friendly, the tacos are really good, although definitely more of a culinary gourmet approach as opposed to what most people are used to. However, for me, the best valued item were the bowls--perhaps they should change the name to 'AQ Bowls'. The esquite is also worth a try. The food tastes really fresh and you can tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on the quality of the ingredients.

Our food arrived pretty quickly after ordering. The staff was friendly and continued to check in on us. I had the spicy cucumber margarita (sooo refreshing!) with a Baja fish taco and a spicy Baja shrimp taco. Both tacos were really good, but the spicy baja shrimp taco was my favorite. We also ordered the fresh chicharrones. The chicharrones were hot and still crackling when they arrived at the table. I especially loved the green aioli salsa that came with the chicharrones. Overall, this is a good place to enjoy some fish/shrimp tacos and margs.

The complete menu was next to said employee who stood there patiently while waiting for you to decide on something all while not holding up the line. We settled on 2 taco combos: baja fish and baja shrimp, both on corn tortillas. Then we ordered another set of a la carte tacos, more baja shrimp and fish tacos, but this time on flour. The total came out to $52+ (including CAs seemingly mandatory these days tip). The friendly employee gave us our receipt, order number and beverage cup, and we waited. In contrast to other reviewers apparently short wait times, we sat waiting around a half hour for our take out order to be delivered to us at our table. We headed back home as soon as we got our order and the food held up very nicely. Id say the tacos were delicious and very filing. The battered fish and shrimp in each were generously portioned and the cabbage toppings on each were not only refreshing but eye appealing as well. Although the tacos hit the spot, I have to be honest about the rice and beans, as being an Angelo--if the spot has legit Rice n Beans, then everything else on the menu is spot on. Can't say this holds true for this spot, as it was quite literally the worst rice and beans Ive ever had from an establishment touting Mexican (style) food. I opened the takeout container of rice and was disappointed to say the least, it was just a helping of white rice-- the same as you would get at Chinese takeout. The beans? Even worse than the rice. I sat for a while trying to figure out how to not toss them out, as that would be throwing money away. I'm still pondering.... Go for the tacos, stay clear of the R&B.
