I've been with AHS since 2019 and have been doing claims for A/c since 2020 and the company that's dispatched is A.R.T every time. normally I get the same individuals and I was cool with their customer service, demeanor, thoroughness in explaining whats going on and responsiveness on fixing my issue. Today I did not feel that same welcoming, caring customer service from who came for this service call. No care or understanding and even my kids stated "I heard how he spoke to you and it was not like he cared but more like I know what I'm talking about so don't care what you're saying". This is not cool at all especially when I just gave good reviews to AHS about them. This guy didn't care at all what we are going through just advised me to leave it off until he gets the part because it won't be cover if it freezes. keep in mind he never said when about the part will be in, it's hot as hell, and when I tried to look at previous calls to see if this was or should have been fixed he flashed me last call saying it was just cleaning but I know for a fact the damn unit froze because we had to turn it off to thaw which caused leaking down stairs and all these towels were still in there from it. I had originally called Airheads HVAC to do a repair on my AC, and they charged me $400 for a turbo and $800 for a fan motor. Then they told me that the fan blade was bent and wanted to charge $700 to replace it. Well the AC was still making noise, so I called Airheads back and they couldn't come out again for over 48 hours. Instead I called A.R.T. who replaced the fan blade that same day and quoted me just a fraction of the price that Airheads wanted to charge, and reduced it even further as a courtesy due to Airheads overcharging me so much. No run-around, just professionals doing their job with honesty. A.R.T. has earned my business the right way, through integrity and professionalism! read more

Just moved into our new home, set heater to 80 last night. Woke up to 65 and wife's cold feet. Called around , found these guys. They showed up within an hour. Educated me with some simple good to know knowledge and recommendations of up keep. And even did a little maintenance cleaning to set us up right. Definitely recommend this company with 5 stars. Called AHS about contactors clicking, they come out say it was a lizard, took lizard out and left, contactors continue to click, called them out again, mind you this is second day I have to take off from work. They come and say they changed contactors but 1 day later the unit will not come on at all. Now I ask that this time they come when i get off work so I don't have to call in another day. First guy says yes then the owner calls at 7:13 am and tell me they are not coming. They left drain hose bent up so water can get into house and themo thing on ground, but want to take NO responsibility for their actions, telling me they were doing me a favor. I don't want a favor I want AC. What inconsiderate person calls at 7:13 am? Anyways I am about done with AHS and REALLY done with ART heating and air. read more

Technician came earlier in the morning to check my heating system, because upstairs it had been 78 degrees when set to 72. The downstairs was also set at a low temperature. He did nothing to fix the problem. Kept asking me if I had been cooking the morning or what time the day before & heat raises, which I told him, I'm not stupid, he then said, that it's never a good idea to buy a two story house with one unit. I told him, that I've only had to problems with my unit and the last time was when the memory board was replace. Asked for his father to come look at it and he refused. American Home Shield should drop this company as a contractor they send to their customers homes. They don't listen to your problem, are unprofessional and don't resolve your problem. read more

My wife and I noticed that our AC unit wasn't cooling below 78 contacted AHS and A.R.T. was dispatch to service our unit, Terry from A.R.T called within a hr said he was in the area and could come and look at the unit. When he arrived he checked the unit inside, then went outside came back inside and said he had to replace a contactor. I had my home warranty send someone to do a seasonal maintenance on my 4 month old a/c unit for spring. (The service was free with my warranty) They sent ART. They took a look at my indoor unit and performed nothing. Went outside and came back in a few moments later to tell my my air compressor was not working and that I needed to submit a work order for them to come back out and fix it. So instead I called the company who installed the unit in November to come see what was wrong. They came back in and said the air compressor switch was turned off and that's why it wasn't working. The type of fuse box I have, you have to open the box and remove the fuse and switch it upside down and put it back in to turn it off. So this company tried to scam me into thinking there was something wrong with my brand new ac system to get more money out of me and my home warranty company. read more

These guys came to me by way of Home Shield. First off we had an appointment for Monday morning and he shows up at my house at 7:30 on Saturday morning with no phone call. One of the first things the technician said to me was, well you have only had this policy for a month. Home Shield is not going just going to pay for a new air conditioner. I had not asked for a new air conditioner and I feel like he was prejudiced before he even got to my house. I reported this to Home Shield and am still trying to find out why this guy would know the length of my policy? He dismissed things I was telling him about the AC and what was happening. So I asked him to come back in the afternoon so he could see what I was talking about. Two days later he shows up unannounced again! His diagnosis, well it's getting a second opinion. He said that Hone Shield had named them their #1 vendor in the country. Now I ask myself why? Because they work for Home Shield not the policy holder. read more

My mother in law has been having issues through Homeshield to get her air conditioner fix which has prompted me to get involved. The purpose of this review is to express how unprofessional, callous, and nasty one of the worker from the Copperas Cove A.R.T treated my mother in law during her interaction with her. The "gentleman", I say that lightly, was rude and unprofessional to her during their interaction. He was screaming at her, telling her she needs to be educated, and so on, when all she sought was guidance due to understand Homeshield giving both parties conflicting information. I acknowledge that the that the issue was with Homeshield which has prompted me to step in and, take care of that issue on her behalf. HOWEVER, that does not negate the fact your worker displayed his actions in an unprofessional manner, which left my mother in law in tears. With all due respect, HE better be glad I was not present when this occurred, especially since, from what was explained to me, I believe he treated her in this manner due to her heavy Hispanic accent. This company needs to train their workers in proper customer service etiquette. Unacceptable!!!!!! read more

We set an appointment through AHS and they ended up coming out the next day. 2 gentleman came an older guy and a younger one. I the homeowner was asking questions but they didn't want to answer my questions. Even after I assured them I am well over 18 and do in fact own the home. The younger gentleman was rude and would not listen when I tried to explain what was going on and just kept saying it was the thermostat, however in the past I have tried everything he was trying to tell me I needed to do but I was still having the same issue. He also said that the house should of had 2 units since it is a 2 story house. After reading through some of the other reviews I noticed that the problems others had with there A/C are the same or similar to mine and they gave me the exact same answers and responses. The older gentleman tried answering questions but the younger one kept cutting him off. At the end before walking out the door he (the younger guy) said we wasted his time and call back to them directly if we had a real issue like the A/C unit goes out. read more

If you want the run around and a lot of BS call Frank. This owner lied on several occasions told us he was going to call never did we had to keep calling him, then told us he would show up to find the exact problem never did. Was told that he would replace certain parts but failed to tell the tech. When I questioned the tech he got a attitude and took off all while on the phone talking about me and was very unprofessional.i was only asking about a part Frank the owner said he would replace but this tech was not told by him. Again this not my problem. I refuse to have anyone sit and call me a liar in my face. All this tech had to do was call him to verify them finish the job. No threaten not not finish. So he took his ball and went to pay somewhere else. This was a good place to go before but clearly this owner only wants your money and doesn't care about customer service. I will pay pics if any one wants on the poor quality work. No rumors only the facts. Never send anyone to this place unless your ready to have them charge you in a few months this. While holding for AHS to cancel my contract I saw the last service done through them on my a/c unit. I looked to see if others has had problems with them as well with their contractors and found a very recent one with the same contractor they had sent me. My a/c was running and we did not know why. Put in the service order over the phone and was given ART as the contractor. Long story short, they came, rep was curt with responses. Said that a controller was out and would call AHS to see if they covered it. If not he would provide a price to cover it. AHS called me and they did not cover the controller, however ART NEVER CALLED BACK !! Even more disturbing when I had the heating unit serviced it was discovered that a pannel left off with open flames in my attic when the heat was turned on. CWS is the best game in town for electrical and a/c services and i will use them for all future services. read more
