I haven't had a slice this good since my high school days from Brothers Pizzeria on Horace Harding over 15 years ago. I already knew I needed to leave a review after the first bite. My son & I walked in randomly, it's a small location with a few tables, clean. My son got a buffalo chicken & Sicilian slice, & I didn't even want pizza but I got a Blanca slice. Pizza has changed so much over the years in NY but this was truly an authentic NY slice. My son said "We messed up, we should have gotten three whole pies not three slices" they were each SO good. The owner Nick you can tell is a very humble & genuine guy. He was very kind. Amore's has been our go to as it's closer to us & theirs is really good as well. However, we both agreed we'd happily make the trip to Astoria from now on. read more

A nice little pizza joint in Astoria away from the hustle and bustle of the main aves of Astoria . Good selection of assorted pizza toppings , calzones, stromboli, salads , pasta dishes , entrees , etc. Grabbed a table for my crew , ordered a large pie , some garlic knots and enjoyed some good old school pizza . Friendly staff running the place and the many menu choices will be great when ordering takeout or delivery on occasion.. overall good pizza , good vibe and nice friendly staff , will be back and explore more of the menu . read more

This place mainly serves typical New York style pizza. The pizza is passable but not great. It is too thin and somewhat dry. In other words, the pizza is not cheesy and saucy enough. It is apparent that they skimped on the ingredients - better than the cheap dollar slice places but not as good as most $3.00-$4.00 slice places. A thing that does set this place apart is that they do offer Detroit style pizza. It is a thick pizza that is served in a pan and is not something that is commonly found around here. This pizza almost convinced me to impulsively move to New York. But it wasn't just about how fantastic the slices tasted-- it was the whole experience. My friend and I immediately felt like we were befriended by Nick, the owner, who would occasionally interrupt his conversation to wave to people in the neighborhood. We could tell he's a meaningful presence in his community. He gave us the best seats in the house and also threw in some zeppoles for free :) Besides that-- the pizza was incredible. Funky town music man. Yato digs this dude. Pizza isn't the best, but for the price combo, Yato will top it off with some salt and pepper and enjoy his adorable middle ground slice. Whatcha expecting? The Picasso of pizza? You won't get it, but it's not what I need when I come here. I want some quick and good that won't kill Yato's wallet. Other places are charging $5-$6 for shitty slices, (looking at your Gyro Uno). Mama Yato loved the pizza from here. It was her favorite. We disagreed, but she would only get her slices from here. The pizza tasted like a cardboard!! was super hungry and would have eaten anything at around 11 pm and even then I still couldn't finish the slice of pizza of bbq chicken. Husband got pepperoni pizza, even that was pretty bad. The base was tasteless, stiff, not fresh at all, the cheese tastes like a pizza that sat under heat lamp for days. The best thing about ASAP Pizza Spot was the quality customer service. The employee gave us recommendations and warmed our pizza with less than 5 minutes to-go. He even threw in some extra desserts! The restaurant's appearance was clean to the eye & presentation of the pizza's were also really good. Definitely recommend the New Yorker Special and Cheese Pizza if your looking for a thin-style, quick & delicious meal. I was born and raised in the vicinity and decided to try it out to support the local business, but unfortunately I was very underwhelmed. The pizza was very blah. It had little to no flavor, it was remnicsicant to eating hospital food. Definitely no where near as good as many other staples in the neighborhood like Gaudios or Grand Avenue. Also, I would definitely have to agree with the worker having a "sparkle" in his eye, who seemed a little off. read more

Delicious delicious delicious! I have ordered the Mediterranean, the BBQ, the Chicken Pesto and even a cupcake from this unassuming pizza place. It is SO NICE to have these options with no red sauce. Every single one of these were amazing and the BBQ was the best version of a BBQ pizza I've ever had- not drenched in sauce to where that's the only flavor you get either. Mediterranean is made with a reasonable amount of olives instead of overwhelming the rest of the ingredients. Chicken Pesto is amazing too but I don't know what specifically makes it so- I've never had a pizza like that before and I'm a huge fan of basil so it was a match made in heaven. Cupcake was ok, but the star is definitely the pizza!!! read more

I'm not in the habit of leaving negative reviews, but this is the exception. First of all, the pizza is much to be desired. Try holding it and it falls apart. I like a slice with thin dough but this is totally ridiculous. . It also doesn't have much flavor if any. I loaded it up with red pepper flakes.. Even for the $5 it's not a bargain. Like my husband would say it filled a void. I also feel very uncomfortable when I went there . The proprietor seems to have issues and is weird. I will not be buying pizza there anymore , that's for sure. read more
