During my recent trip I wasn't able to have pizza in the city due to some logistical issues and thought I missed out on pizza this time but then I walked into this corner shop in Astoria and it was the best decision of my trip. The crust was perfect and the cheese had that stretch, and the pizza was just so delicious.

What an unexpected find! Love this pie! Crispy thin slices that make your mouth water. A must for any traveler.

Wow! While I don't know Gia's Pizza's pedigree, I can share that they opened a relatively short while ago in the spot vacated by another pizzeria that relocated elsewhere in Astoria. Pizza is very subjective and personal. For my taste, Gia is as good as it gets. Here's why: thin crispy crust that isn't burnt. The cheese to sauce ratio was also to my liking for NYC by-the-slice pizza. What's unfortunate is their out of the way location. They make up for it by maintains the restaurant very bright, orderly and clean. I can't wait to go back and regret not swinging by sooner...

This new pizza spot gets a solid 4 stars! First off, welcome to Astoria! They opened in the spring/summer earlier this year on the corner of 41st street and Astoria Blvd. it is conveniently down the block from Steinway street and the m60 express bus stop. Monday after our doctors appt, I came here because I was craving a slice with extra cheese and pepperoni. I was disappointed that my extra was NOT the same as theres ... then again I wasn't charged for it. The garlic knots were good though, and even better the day after ... is that even possible? The beef patty was good. The slices were too oily but I am a fan of mini pepperoni. I spent $18 on two slices, an order of garlic knots and a beef patty. I would definitely come back here for their garlic knots and to try some pasta dishes. See you soon Gia's Pizza!

This is new! a chicken francese slice!! 10/10 amazing flavor 10/10 amazing crust. Gia's is elevating the pizza game in Astoria like it's the early 90s!

Good slice . Nice crisp. Very clean cool setting and decor. Squares look good will definitely get next time.

My new favorite pizzeria in Astoria! The pizza is absolutely incredible -- the dough is perfection.. light, airy and super flavorful with that perfect crunch. I've tried six different slices, and every single one is amazing. My favorites are the upside-down, the tricolor and the pesto margarita.. The rigatoni alla vodka is out of this world -- hands down the best sauce I've ever had. So excited to have this gem in Astoria... I'm officially becoming a regular!

Usually I get a pizza slice, but today I had the spicy Rigatoni with chicken and it is excellent, had to post. Love the staff and I love the food. This is my comfort place, the food is great.

Best Pizzaa!!! and service ! Great people and vibes ! Come and try there pizaaa. They also gave us dessert on the house! Fresh and sweet.

This place is great! There's so many pizza places in Astoria that are good but this is at the top of the list and probably our new go to.

Best gluten-free pizza I have ever had. [Full Stop]…read more I've had a lot of GF pizza. I've tried to come here in the past -- but it didn't work out. I ordered via Uber Eats this time, and MAN -- I was blown away. I honestly thought that they had screwed up and sent me a gluten version. I checked the order and receipt. It was so good -- the crust so chewy with bite -- but light and airy and tight -- the cheese and toppings all great and fresh and delicious. It tasted like an awesome piece of NYC pizza. I was so happy. I did some Claude sleuthing -- and think I'm onto their magic with the crust -- and am excitedly going to experiment in my home kitchen in the coming weeks (Neapolitan oven, be damned!).

Located at 309 West 50th Street in New York City's Hell's Kitchen neighborhood, the casual eatery has an extensive list of pizzas. Don Antonio has over 30 types of Neapolitan pizzas, and the menu is a little bit daunting at first due to so many options, but even the pickiest eater will find something they'll want to eat. To top that off, Caporuscio recently debuted a brand new pizza tasting menu that features a curated lineup of never-before-seen pizza napoletana, and seven varieties of pizza fritta (fried pizza). Lastly, the entire pizza menu is now available gluten-free. With vast offerings, they are ambitious, and every dish is outstanding.

RIGHT BY THE DOOR. Do people not realize that putting a bar near a door on a freezing cold night benefits no one? Good thing I did not order alcohol or I would have froze to death. Seriously, none of the pies stood out in grand memory. All I can think of is, well, nothing. Nothing positive anyway. The names of the pies are funny, and the staff is friendly, but besides that, the quality of the food for lack of a better word, dare I say it, sucks. Hoping to salvage the meal, I ordered their Chicken Parmesan. It was the Hail Mary pass that unfortunately did not connect. The cutlets are overcooked and dry, and the red sauce cooked with it has minimal tomato flavor. At least the spaghetti is cooked to a nice al dente and mellow garlic butter flavor, but like the sauce cooked in, it is also minimal. Part of the problem I feel is they are trying to go for a vibe that has a New York and modern feel. It does not work. Stay true to one or the other. Or at least look at other business models. I will use another pizzeria in Bushwick that exemplifies it perfectly. It is a hipster pizzeria in a hipster neighborhood. Through balance, it creates an ambiance both welcoming and warm without losing any of its Bushwick character. It does this by not beating you over the head with hipster vibes, just enough to let you know that you are in Bushwick. The band Franz Ferdinand was playing as I was wrapping up. Rather than take the pizza out, I suggest you throw it out. Overall pizza rating: 1.7/5

The first thing you notice is the main bar wall, with its exposed centuries-old brick that has survived every bit of chaos this city could throw at it. It's subtly backlit from with a warm, amber glow that highlights every single historic groove and imperfection, making the whole room look like it's breathing. I have to say the centerpiece of the entire narrow room is the bar itself, and let me tell you, it is an absolute stunner of a contrast. Instead of the usual dark, sticky tavern wood, they've dropped in a long, continuous slab of pristine, elegantly smooth white stone. It glows under the soft lighting like a block of polished marble. There are no strobe lights and no obnoxious, skull-rattling bass in this joint. Instead, the room is wrapped in a blanket of incredibly chill music that matches the pulse of the room perfectly. It's just loud enough to drown out the noise in your own head, but quiet enough that you don't have to scream over the smooth white counter to be heard. People aren't here to be seen on TikTok; they're here to disappear for an hour or three. You slide into a chair, order a proper Old Fashioned from a bartender who doesn't rush the pour, and watch the ice melt against the amber-lit brick. It's the ultimate underground exhale--a perfect, narrow slice of peace in a city that never shuts up. Cheers!
