So, I thought I was dealing with a reputable company. Very nice reservation process, where I was told I needed to notify them 20 to 30 minutes before arrival so they could drop off the scooter at the Disneyland drop off location in the morning. All went well. Then, their evening guy, Jerry, left me a voicemail message at 6pm asking for at least half an hour notice before pick up and also asked that if the drop off area was too busy, could I possibly meet the driver at a Denny's parking lot across the street? I got the message around 8pm, justI'm before I called to arrange pick up. At that time, 8:15, he TOLD me to go to the Denny's parking lot, which is shared by a motel parking lot, and the van would meet us there. I said we would be there around 15-20 minutes and he said that was too soon for him but the driver would be there within 30 minutes. My daughter and I left the Disney property and went across the street and about three properties to the right to the Denny's parking lot. There was NO extra space for a person with a scooter to wait. Not even a bench. It's all parking, fronted by Denny's, two motels on either side. No security, some lighting, but I definitely did not feel safe with my daughter waiting in the open, without any protection from parking and traffic. Just before 9pm, after waiting for over 20 minutes, I called Jerry at the office and he then said that it was my fault the driver hadn't arrived because I hadn't given them an hours notice. In three discussions with staff at this place, NO ONE had said anything about an hour's notice. They said half an hour. It was dark, in a strange place - not one I had agreed to but TOLD to go to off Disney property - with no security and a minor child arguing with a guy who was making up his own facts. After I told him to come get his property, I double checked his voicemail to me and he had told me at 7:10pm to give them half an hour notice. Which I DID. He called back again and I asked him if his boss knew he was instructing customers to wait in the Denny's parking lot at night for their drivers for pick up. He was rude, did not listen to me, and I was upset and scared. At some point, he instructed one of the local motel staff to come and retrieve the scooter for him. I handed over the keys and we left. Then, about 15 minutes later, the driver called to ask me where I was! I texted back and told him where to find the scooter and he texted he had it. Their day staff was professional and responsive. Their evening staff was disorganized, unprofessional, rude and downright mean. If you are staying at a local hotel, use them if you are desperate. If you aren't, use Apple Scooters - much more professional and willing to be flexible with pick up and drop off. read more

This is a first class operation. My scooter was clean, fully charged, had plenty of power, and had my name on it so that I could differentiate it from the cazillion other Mobility Scooters in Disneyland. It was kind of fun because we all recognized the scooters and said, "Hello", to each other. The hotels and transit lines are quite accustomed to loading scooters and it took minutes to load and I received preferential treatment. It was great! If you ever had the need to get around, but couldn't without extra help, then you know exactly where I'm coming from. I wanted to spend a day at Disneyland, but needed an electric scooter to do the heavy lifting - and A Scooter 4 U was the perfect match for me! Jerry (and, I believe Ashley) expertly and adeptly helped me negotiate the necessary information needed to make this a success. Scooter delivery? No problem - we'll bring it to your hotel. Disneyland shuttle? Oh, that's easy - every hotel can get you - and your scooter, to the park. Bigger scooter upcharge? Nope. All our scooters are $65 bucks a day. Battery life? Shouldn't be a problem at all - and they were right. The day went exactly as Jerry said it would. I received a fully charged scooter that took care of me every step of the way. The battery charge needle indicator stayed PEGGED INTO THE GREEN ALL DAY LONG!! There wasn't a single worry that crossed my mind after 4 p.m. I expected the battery to discharge at some point, but was pleasantly surprised when it stayed charged - and indicated fully charged - the entire time. The. Entire. Time. To Jerry: Thank you so much for taking the time, having the patience, and showing obvious interest in helping me make this day a success. One could arguably make the statement that A Scooter 4 U contributed to my making some very nice memories - all because you made it possible for me to get there - and stay there. I want to highly recommend this company. Jerry is the nicest man. I rented a scooter for my son as he is recovering from a serious injury. We stayed about a half mile from Disneyland and the scooter was waiting for us when we arrived. He rode it for 3 days straight each day for up to 16 hours. The batteries lasted all day! We didn't have to charge it at the parks at all and he rode it all day. Zooming around and enjoyed every minute of the 3 days at the parks, riding around the neighborhood the day before going to dinner and exploring. It was a real life saver. It held all our stuff and we loaded the back of it up with a bag and a small cooler. The basket holds all your stuff you need at hand. I just can't recommend highly enough this company. The price can't be beat for $120 for 4 days. If I had rented at the park it would have been $50 a day and those scooters looks horribly uncomfortable. My son called it his Cadillac for the week. Seriously tho use this business. They drop it off and pick it up and we had a problem the first night and Jerry (the owner) came over in 10 minutes fixed it and we were on our way again. My wife and her girlfriends were planning a trip with carnival cruise lines since they we're either turning 50 or 55. And all the spouses were included on this trip so i looked around to see if there was a agency that i could utilize to rent a mobility scooter. And contacted A Scooter 4 You and explained my request there price was comparable to other agency so i made a initial reservation with them since our trip was not for 8 months. All they asked for was my name and phone number and date of our trip. In the last month before our trip i called to confirm my reservation and they explained to me where i would meet their Representative. Since i am a big guy i asked for the Maxim Scooter which was provided to me and it was fully charged. I had a great time with all our friends and family who attended this trip and the boat staff was very accommodating. I also had requested a disability room which provided additional space i look forward to my next trip and unless i purchase my own mobility scooter i would rent once more with A Scooter 4 You in the future. If I could give this place - 0 stars I would. The owner in extremely rude and disrespectful to his customers. My dad is disable and brought his scooter in to have the tires replaced. He has had my dad scooter for over a month and it is still not fixed. My dad can barely walk and needs his scooter to get around. He just called this morning to check on an ETA of when it would be done the owner got nasty with him and told him to come and pick it up he is not fixing it! So now my dad has been without a scooter for over a month and it is still not fixed. Very sad that this man takes advantage of disable people! Never ever give him your business!!! read more

We were at Disneyland 6/20/2017. I reserved a scooter for my Mom so she could wheel around the park in comfort and keep up with everyone. She has a heart problem and gets short on breath walking too much. The scooter was at the Bell Services desk when we got to our hotel waiting for us and I just dropped it back off at the Bell Services desk when we were through with it. Mom thoroughly loved having the scooter. It never lost a charge and it was easy to drive around. We were the ones tired keeping up with her! It gave Mom freedom to ride right back to the hotel room during the day and when waiting around, gave her a place to sit. I recommend these guys and would use them again! read more

Called at 7 am to see if they could help out - Ashley so knowledgeable, helpful and welcoming on phone then in person. Horrible, horrible experience! We rented a mobility scooter for my husband in May for 1 week and purchased it a week later. Jerry Buchi, the owner, charged it to our credit card over the phone. He promised to send us a receipt and owners manual immediately. He also said he'd rebate our sales tax once he received a prescription from my husband's doctor. He did acknowledge receiving that in early July. We've made over 5 phone calls to him since and he keeps telling us he's sending it and will credit the taxes. He has also become progressively nasty on the phone and seems quite annoyed that we bothered him. We've received nothing and no rebate. We've never seen such total disregard and disrespect for customers in our lives!!! And that's going some. read more

rented scooter for two days. Free delivery to my hotel which was nice. Scooter was in great shape and very clean. First time I used it it lasted for 4 hours and went dead inside Disneyland. I was able to get a charge there but had to walk for a couple of hours while letting it charge. That night it was charged for 8 hours and I got 7 hours use out of it before again having to charge at DL. For the same money I could have rented a wheelchair from DL and not had to walk while recharging this one. Owner says they have techs on duty and I should have called. How was I to know the stupid scooter was going to run down so fast the day after I personally recharged it? I will go somewhere else next time and recommend you do too! read more

We recently rented a scooter from A Scooter 4 U for our visit to Disneyland. The scooter itself ran very well, and we did not have any issues with it as far as the battery. I am rating this review as 4 stars instead of 5 stars for a few reasons. The scooter itself actually had lots of damage to it as far as the body (probably the reason they were cheaper than other locations). This did not affect the way the scooter functioned, but it definitely had lots of nicks and dings. We rented a basket for the back of the scooter, which was fantastic, but even the corner of that was banged in. As far as the office staff, there was a woman we spoke with on the phone a couple of times who was very friendly. The older gentleman who was in the office when we went to pick up the scooter was actually very rude. The older gentleman kept constantly reprimanding the young man who was helping us, and there was no apparent reason (maybe he was having a bad day). It was very unprofessional. The location was close to Disneyland and the scooter did function very well, so if you don't mind a few scrapes and dings and an unfriendly older gentleman in the office, this is the way to go, because the price is right. read more

Had my scooter dropped off at the Paradise Pier hotel over the Christmas holiday(12/23-12/28). When we arrived the scooter was waiting for me. This will be a very mixed review. When we picked up the scooter, on a Sunday no-less, the owner Jerry was personable and helpful in explaining exactly how to use the scooter. However, the pick-up of the scooter at the end of the week became complicated. Jerry had said they could pick it up between 8 - 9 a.m. on our last day; he also had told me to call him the day before to remind them. When I called him the day before as requested, he was quite snippy with me when I told him our daughter and son-in-law would be the ones at our rental home. (We would be on our way to the airport.) He said they absolutely had to answer their cell phone 15 minutes before the scheduled pick-up OR the company would NOT come out and the pick-up would need to be rescheduled. I agreed to this and made sure he had my daughter's phone number. The earliest we should have been called was 7:45 a.m., however instead MY phone (NOT my daughter's) rang at 7:10 a.m. as we were leaving the house. The driver, who could barely speak English, wanted to confirm our pick-up and said he'd be there in a few minutes. In addition, he needed directions to our vacation rental house which was difficult since we're unfamiliar with the area. I asked him, "Don't you have a GPS?" and he said "no." My husband had to stumble through giving him directions. The driver was also surprised we weren't at a hotel. I started to give him my daughter's phone number again, but he said he'd be arriving in a few minutes and we needed to stay. I said, "We can't stay. We're on our way to the airport! I need to give you my daughter's phone number." He tried to talk over me and I had to get firm with him to get him to listen. I think the problem was this: they are very used to delivering and picking up from hotels. However, having us staying in a vacation rental through them off. The scooter was brand-new and worked great. Every communication, other than the pick-up, went well. I'd have to consider whether I would rent from them again. However, many other people have given positive reviews; maybe this was one freak occurrence. read more

I always rent a scooter when i go to conferences or to amusement parks. The extra money spent is well worth it. A scooter makes the difference between a great time and one that is extremely physically challenging. This time I had a little snag. I was just finishing up at a conference at the Marriot. I had planned within the next half hour to go to Disneyland. Before I left I went to the bathroom. Just as the toliet self flushed, I heard something hit it. It was my scooter key. I decided at the last minute to go to Disneyland with my daughter, her husband and 3 year old granddaughter. I called this company on the Saturday before we were leaving and asked for their help. They were VERY helpful and accommodating. They told me that the scooter would be delivered to our hotel in the AM on the following Monday, and when we got there, the scooter was clean, charged and ready to go. We got in late to California so we decided to do downtown Disney that afternoon. My daughter is 5'3" and is 6 months pregnant. She weighs in at a whopping 111lbs AT 6 months pregnant. She was having a hard time with all the walking and that was just the downtown area. She had started to have pain in her lower abdomen and having a lot of Braxton Hicks (contractions). I was worried about her and she vehemently denied when I suggested that she also get a scooter for the trip. "Pregnancy isn't a disability mom" she would tell me. I explained to her that I could not enjoy myself if I knew that she could possibly get herself into trouble with all the walking. She finally conceded to my request and I called Scooters 4 U at 7:00 P.M. Monday evening, totally expecting to get a answering machine and they answered the phone!!! I explained the situation and they had ANOTHER scooter at the hotel waiting for us before we even came downstairs for breakfast!!! I was extremely impressed with their customer satisfaction and promptness and even MORE impressed that they actually did exactly what they said they were going to do. The prices are reasonable, especially if you compare the price to the scooters that you can rent in the park, which are $70 a day. The scooters that the park provides are outdated. There are a lot of choices in the area to rent a scooter from. Believe me, I saw ALOT of them in the park and you knew they were rentals. The scooter that was delivered to me was in great shape and clean. I got several questions in the park where I rented the scooter from. One lady even called them as I stood there waiting for a ride. They delivered a scooter to her hotel the next day. HANDS DOWN!!! EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE and would definitely rent from these folks any time I visit the area. read more

I am a Physical Therapist who was asked by a long time friend and client to contact the A Scooter 4 U store. My client ordered and paid for a 3-position lift chair from this store more than 2 months ago. In a reasonable amount of time a 2-position chair was delivered, the client contacted the store and reported that the wrong chair had been delivered. She has now waited for over two months and every time she or a family member has contacted them they have never been given a straight answer why, only been given a run around. Last week she was told the chair was on a delivery truck but it has not arrived. So at her request, as a favor, on 12/1/14 I called the store to ask why the replacement chair had not been delivered. I as well only received hemming and hawing and never a straight answer as to what the delay was. He then suggested that I convince the client to accept the 2-position chair. I replied that she both paid for and needed the proper chair. Then I was told that this was none of my business and that under HIPPA he could not discuss the situation with me. I responded that other than me mentioning my clients name with her permission and not discussing at all her medical condition this had nothing to do with HIPPA, but his incompetence to deliver a medically necessary product to an elderly client, nor to provide reasonable explanation, only incomprehension able excuses. He then hung up on me. It appeared to me from our conversation that he has done nothing to remedy this elderly clients situation, was rude to the client her family and a professional trying to remedy the situation, or that he planed to do anything about it, but he has her money. Plenty of it! Really I have to give this place a star to report? I take it away given under duress. read more

Last year my family got Annual Passports to the Disneyland Resort. My parents are both handicap and require mobility scooters while at the parks. Before coming to A Scooter 4 U, we used Apple Scooter on three separate occasions. Two out of three times we were left stranded. On our most recent trip in July, my father was stuck in his room for hours when they failed to deliver the scooters to our hotel, which were reserved and paid for well in advance. To make matters worse, they never answered any of our calls. After wasting the entire afternoon trying and failing to rent scooters elsewhere, we got a return call from the owner of A Scooter 4 U. They were able to make us a special delivery the next morning and even gave us a discount to help salvage the rest of our trip. The owner and his son are down-to-earth, honest, individuals who went out of their way to help us. Needless to say, on our next tip to Anaheim we will be calling our new friends at A Scooter 4 U.
