I try to support local florists. However, twice now (most recently Mother's Day 2024), I have bought a "Premium"-sized bouquet and gotten, at best, a "Standard" bouquet. The difference in the quantity of flowers and the cost (a $50 price difference, plus tax) is substantial. I have complained multiple times to A Street Florist, and they have not even bothered to respond. Their website is deceptive, they skimp on flowers, and I will not give them my business again. read more

Hung up assured it was received an will be ready. Called the day of delivery early in the day to ensure it was all set for delivery, was literally told "flowers are in hand" and delivery for this order is the next stop. Target time/date came and went AND NO DELIVERY WAS EVER MADE. Distance for delivery was literally two miles away. Called to ask what happened and got the run around with apologies, excuses, call out with the staff blah blah blah. Asked to cancel the order and about my refund, and I got hung up on. Called again, spoke with Helen, the owner, seemed clueless and with no idea of the orders she had in her que. Was told I would be getting my refund the next business day. Still waiting. I needed something very special for my Great Aunts 90th birthday. I walked into her shop a few years ago and asked for something similar. Being impressed with the price, and within 20 minutes I walked out with a bouquet that would drop the most seasoned flower receiver into a wonderful state of appreciation. I asked the owner if I could name the arrangement " THE EXTRAVAGANT" for that person who deserves the very best. It was reasonably inexpensive. The vase was not a thin throw away vase. It is the type you keep out whenever you get flowers. All of the flowers (there were 4-5 varieties) were fresh. Some tulips open but many still closed. I had been planning to get my mom something special for Valentine's day , knowing Tulips mean so much to her i saw this arrangement at a online nearby Florist shop . Made my order online and nowhere did i get a tracking number nor an update of delivery. Once the flowers arrived , they were not arranged with any ribbon , flowers were smooshed together and broken. & to top it off the chocolates were forgotten by the driver(delivered 30 mins after). not the presentation i was expecting for the price i paid for. I can't even review the service because they closed half an hour before their scheduled closing time. Needed to pick up some last minute flowers for a date, after sitting in traffic on 880 for an hour and a half, this was the only place open till 6pm. I pulled up in front at 5:30, the screen door was open, but the gate door was locked. I called their number and a woman picked up. Asked if they were open, she said no, they're closed. Hours on yelp say 6pm, they were closed at 5:30. I ended up going to Lucky around the corner, which had even worse service, but at least I was able to get flowers. Cannot recommend a shop that can't stay open till their posted closing time. read more

I got a dozen of pinkish purpleish roses from this flower shop and honestly I think I was over charged. At first the lady charged me $60 for a dozen without her doing anything to the roses. It wasn't an arrangement I just needed roses, then she dropped the price to $41 which I think was still outrageous for a dozen of roses. I just didn't feel like running around everywhere trying to look for flowers since it was last minute. Will definitely reconsider going somewhere else next time if I ever have to order flowers again. read more

I ordered a deal out on Yelp. $75 dollars worth of flowers for the price of $50 dollars. The owners unfortunately did not know how the Yelp deal worked or how they got paid other than they got an e-mail saying they paid them only $35 dollars, so I am wondering if Yelp gets a $15 dollar cut from this. I was worried if the owners are getting paid or not. Anyways besides the technology disconnected, I was very happy how things turned out. I was first worried when I walked in as I saw in the refrigerator that there were no flowers and of course the Yelp fiasco. But being me, I just let the florist do the work on the flowers and let them be creative on what they wanted since I was not so sure what they had in the back.. Behold, they came up with a Christmas theme lily vase which looked nice at the end. They did give me a $75 dollar arrangement instead of the $50 dollar one. It looked really nice and beautiful. The owners were very polite and nice. They also made a nice flower arrangement for a funeral that I saw in the background which was nice. I would recommend them. read more

I first called at 1pm to find out when the flowers would arrive, I was told "the flowers are being made and in cue for delivery and should be delivered before 3pm". That works perfectly with our dinner reservations in SF. 4:00pm: I call again to find the new eta. The delivery was being picked up and was going to be delivered before 5. Everything was still looking good for our reservation since the flower shop was only 5-10 mins away from my home. 5:00pm: Still nothing... what was suppose to be a simple surprise turned out to be a whole big cover up to why we haven't left for San Francisco and had me lying to my fiancé on our anniversary. Apparently the driver had the flowers a hour ago and didn't do my delivery first as noted from their dispatch. 5:24pm: flowers finaly came to the door looking beautiful and amazing. We came here out of the blue to purchase some flowers for Grandma. She's been going through a lot of stress and whatnot and we wanted to do something nice for her. We walked in expecting to grab a bouquet from the fridge, grab a card and be on our way. After looking through what was available right then and there, we were a little displeased. The woman behind the counter was putting together a "Be Happy Bouquet" that smelled absolutely refreshing. The bouquet sat in an over-sized yellow happy face mug and it was just PERFECT for Grandma! There were a couple of flowers that could use a little more "life" and she had no problem switching them out. She was quick, efficient, and very helpful! I was a bit skeptical about ordering from A Street Florist after reading a few negative reviews. However, I was glad that I placed my order despite the bad reviews. Not only was the owner Helen such a sweet and warm lady but her staff were also super nice. They gave me superb service! They may be a small shop but their quality of service and flowers are beyond the large chain store florists! They really made me feel welcome! I had order a corsage and boutonniere for my nephew and his prom date. I asked if they could custom make it and Helen assured me that it wouldn't be a problem. I've tried calling different florists all over the bay area but nobody would custom make it for me because of Mother's Day weekend and also because it was a short notice. I called Helen 3 times in a row because I was worried that I had missed something. She was so patient! She didn't make me feel bad and/or embarrassed about calling. The corsage was SO beautiful! She even used crystals around the wrist band. It wasn't your ordinary band and I DIDN'T EVEN REQUEST IT! It's unfortunate that the previous customers had a bad experience but I had a wonderful experience! They will definitely be a florist that we (my family and friends) will be going to!!! read more

I ordered a bouquet of flowers from this place to be delivered to someone who just had surgery, and they delivered a poinsettia plant. I called them at 4pm on a Friday to tell them of the problem and i got a phone answering service...What business uses an answering service at 4 on a Friday?! The owner called me back shortly. MY GOODNESS. My overall experienxe was DIVINE..!! When I first walked in it did look a tad bit sketchy not many flowers are up for display and it was very very humid inside (I'm not sure if the flowers need to be in that environment so I let that go fairly quickly). I was greeted and mind y'all I only came in with tunnel vision. I just wanted 2 dozen roses. I personally would have taken them thrown in a box but they were INCREDIBLY sweet and wrapped them very nicely with baby's breath and green leaves (not a flower expert sorry I don't know terminology) then it was wrapped in a cute pink bow. They definitely went above and beyond they are HUGE and oh my gosh the scent alone of these roses in my car is just sublime..!! Will definitely go back if I need flowers. The only thing was that I asked for red roses and I got pink so you have to make sure before you get lost in conversation with them that it's right but they're so beautiful i could care less for the color :) read more
