It was an urgent issue since Silverado Construction could not lay and install the shower pan because of it thus causing some unnecessary delay. Daniel was respectful with professional demeanor. He was knowledgeable but not overbearing, and looked after my interests with his very practical recommendations as we discussed what actions to take. Overall a good option, but could have been better. I used A1 due to their high ratings on yelp. I only gave 3 stars due to the telephone number not being made available to receive calls. Kept receiving a Verizon phone message. I do know the telephone number works because I received text messages. All communication was done via yelp messaging; definitely not preferable to a new customer. The work itself was performed at a level where I still have many questions. I requested for a power receptacle to be added to the outside of my home in my backyard and power to outlets in my garage. The tech stated he can only perform the installation of the backyard receptacle, as the garage will require more time. I opted for backyard receptacle installation. The tech left and went to pick up the part from Lowe's. I received a text confirming if I wanted a double outlet. I agreed. The power was tapped from the opposite wall, which is connected to my treadmill. When I asked about the possibility of overload, I didn't receive a confident response. "It may or may not overload." I wish I was provided with an option to add a new line to my backyard to ensure there was no power overload to my receptacle, but that did not happen. I also don't know if the tech had that much time. However, it would have been preferable for that option. read more

Called A1 electric again becuase I used them the 1st time & I was happy with their work. Good prices, clean work, no bulls*** I wanted celling fans installed in the rooms that didn't have any, I was on the fence between having 2 or 4 fans installed. I was only gonna do the 2 bedrooms but becuase I was a returning customer they gave me a good deal & so I ended up going with having them do the 4 celling fan installations. I'm f***ing excited to have fans in these rooms, I moved into a home where these rooms had no fans... Couldn't take not having celling fans to help cool me off during these hot days so yeah this work needed to get done like yesterday. I had the pleasure of getting victor & Alex for the day. They Arrived around 5pm they were supposed to arrive at 4:30 but they called ahead of time to let me know they would be about 30mins behind schedule becuase they were coming from across town from a service the finished past their expected time, im glad they called to let me know because it gave me time to run down to the store before they arrived & it wasn't a big deal, working in this type of field means you can run into unexpected issues/ set back on time because of extra work people want to add on & etc. So I totally understood, besides I was willing to wait on them, they are my go to electrician company after all. So when they arrived I was still in traffic on my way home. SORRY VICTOR & ALEX for making you wait on me but thank you for being very understanding & patient! I appreciate that more than you think! These gentlemen took THIER time to even help me unload the heavy stuff I bought (water cases/ dog food/ ) from my car & set it inside my home. Haha, talk about going above & beyond. When they began setting up , ladders , tools, etc for the job all i had to do was give them the fans I bought to have installed , show them where I wanted them (what rooms) & they got right to work. I was watching how they did the work for a while so when you want celling fans installed they measure to find the center of the room & Mark it. They double cheked with me to make sure i would be happy with having it centered (what people usually prefer) or if I wanted it anywhere specific in the room that wasn't center. I let them do their thing because i trust their work & having them centerd only makes sense to me but there are those few people who choose that unusual spot for a celling fan. So fast forward to 8pm & they were still working, keep in mind that they were running all the wires & stuff needed to bring power to where the fan was gonna be installed. They did run into some tough obstruction in the runs, it comes with the job, things are gonna happen. Victor did inform me it was gonna take longer to complete the runs due to the obstruction. They were going to return the following day to complete the work because it was getting late but i really needed this done the same day so I asked if they could please finish today because I wouldn't be avaibale for the rest of the week due to work . next thing you know i hear one of them get on the phone with the owner /Daniel I assume & the next thing they're telling me is that they will get the work done the same day but would need to call one of their co-workers (Joseph ) I know they wanted the extra help to get done quicker & be done with the work day. I scheduled my appointment via the Yelp 'request a quote' feature and it was very easy. Daniel was very quick to respond to all of my questions, at nearly all hours of the day and night. The technician, Victor, arrived a little past the scheduled time window due to the previous job running longer than expected but it all worked out fine in the end. The job was installing a new NEMA outlet in my garage for an electric vehicle which requires at least 50 amps. EXCELLENT TROUBLESHOOTING! I had initially hired a handyman to wire a wifi controlled dimmer switch. The handyman left unable to complete the install and incorrectly rewired the light switch next to it leaving me with an incomplete project a now a non functioning light (that had worked prior to his arrival). I jumped on Yelp and found A1 Electric with a practically a flawless history of five star satisfied clients, and began messaging through the Yelp! app. Victor replied the same night as my inquiry and as I serendipitously lived near a client he'd be working with, managed to fit me in the next day! I agreed to a late evening service call to avoid delaying this repair for a few more days out. Upon his arrival he introduced himself and asked me to show him the light switch we discussed via Yelp. As soon as he removed the switch from the wall, he was able to identify the issues immediately. He recognized the plethora of wires within my wall which had left the prior handyman mystified, and explained that as my hallway light was regulated by two switches - one at the top of the stairs and one at the bottom - I'd need a master dimmer switch and a slave, or that I could revert to a traditional three way flip switch, which I chose to do. Not only did he successfully wire the three way switches for the stairway light fixture, but he repaired the Wi-Fi enabled dimmer switch next to it which regulates our hallway light, which hadn't been working since the prior handyman fouled the connections. Victor also helped with three other electrical concerns within my house. Victor fixed a useless wall switch which was designed to regulate a wall outlet but hadn't been functioning since I moved in ten years ago. He was quick to troubleshoot and identify the break in continuity. Additionally he repaired my ceiling fan which wasn't wired correctly for the remote to work but I cannnow activate the ceiling light and fan from the comfort of my Lazy Boy. Finally, he swapped my back door patio wall outlet with a GFI outlet and cover plate, bringing it up to code and making my house that much more safe to live in, as there was a water source within just a few feet of the outlet. His pricing was reasonable, and any price would have been worth it his expertise and capabilities.I feel like a got more than I paid for. Victor is a no-nonsense competent pro.
