We had them come out to just clean our dryer vent. They were here for 15 minutes total, never went…read moreinside to actually push the lint out of the vent. They only did the outside and when I asked him about going inside he said that is appliance issue. My husband ended up purchasing brushes on Amazon and cleaned the vent out from inside, which in turn made him have to clean it out from the outside again. Not to mention all the lint that it pushed through on the roof again. Very frustrating. I actually took a picture and emailed it to them with all the lint that was taken out but never got a response.

I give Ratnesh 5-star rating. The team that installed my new 4-Ton Heat Pump and Air handler did a great job with a difficult installation where the Air Handler is in a finished basement and the Heat Pump had to be carried by hand to a pad on a steep wooded hillside. The installer lead tech Brennan did great sheet metal work adapting the new Air Handler to my existing duct system. There were some issues with how the system parameters were configured but the Greenwood office staff was very responsive and sent out technician the next day to properly configure the system.

I maintained it annually through Greenwood. Around 2022, a Greenwood technician was showing me how to use the complicated thermostat and recirculation scheduling. The water wasn't getting very hot and took a long time to heat. With a newborn (and a second child on the way), my family needed hot water at all hours for bottle washing and other needs. I asked if we could set the recirculation to run continuously, since that option was available. The technician said it wouldn't be a problem and that the system was designed for continuous use. So we set it to run 24 hours a day. He never warned me about any runtime limitations. In July 2026 the unit started shutting down with error code 63. The first technician said parts needed to be ordered and would take two weeks ($392 service call). When a different technician arrived to install the parts, he had no notes from the previous visit and asked me what the problem was. After looking at it, he said a plumber would need to come out. The Greenwood plumber then said the ordered parts weren't needed -- the heat exchanger was the issue and would cost $3,500. **Three different Greenwood technicians came to three different conclusions.** The final Greenwood technician ("plumber") explained that the unit had over 6,000 hours of runtime, which had essentially used up the machine's allotted life. This was the direct result of running continuous recirculation for years. The technician who set that continuous schedule in 2022 never mentioned this risk. Greenwood then recommended replacing the seven-year-old Rinnai with the same model for $9,400 (including a 10% incentive). I was disgusted by the conflicting diagnoses, the lack of earlier guidance, and the pricing. I brought in an independent plumber. Within a minute he noticed that no check valve had been installed on the original Greenwood installation. A check valve prevents hot water from flowing backward into the cold supply line. Without it, hot and cold water mix, which explains why the water never got properly hot (and why the cold water wasn't very cold). That performance issue is what led us to run continuous recirculation in the first place. The new competent plumber installed a Navien tankless water heater with a proper check valve for $4,500. We now have genuinely hot water and properly cold water. Because Greenwood failed to install a basic check valve and then gave poor guidance on continuous recirculation, I was forced to replace a seven-year-old unit and waste significant time and money. I work in real estate and used to recommend Greenwood for HVAC work. I will now actively warn clients and friends about their expensive and incompetent service.
