I wasn't home 48 hours from Hawaii and I was not about to be done searching for authentic Hawaiian foods! Only thing missing...malasades but, we survived!! Ha

This place gets extremely busy on weekends. And for good reason. The food is reasonably priced and the service is excellent. I come here because they have some Filipino favorites. Lapsilong is a classic Filipino breakfast dish and they do it right.

A2Z just never disappoints. Our service and the atmosphere were great. Our waitress did a great job. The coffee here is ex excellent. I did a custom omelette and it was awesome. Breakfast potatoes were good, the side of tomatoes were not ripe but ok. My party also had a Portuguese sausage dish and lived it.

Favorite breakfast in the area. Been a regular for 4 years when I lived in Castleton. Since moving to fishers, this is still our go to 20 minute trek. The owners are super personable and nice and regularly take time to talk to customers. Waiters are always on time and easy to talk to. The food is great, especially the Island Favorites menu. If you don't know what to get, get Spam Masubi and the Tapsilog. Can't say enough good things. Go here!!!

Love this place! This restaurant is so consistent with their food and I love that! The first time we ate here we only did take out which can be a hit or miss at places, but it was excellent! Everything was correct, with extra sauce, napkins, & utensils if you want. We just finally dined in and I tried the Tapsilog and it was delicious!! I loved the steak and the egg together. So good!! When we got takeout previously, My mom raved about the burger here- she's picky and hard to please at times so I had to try it and I must say it is delicious and a great option even for breakfast! Restaurant has very cute decorations, plenty of seating, food came out quickly, & the staff was very attentive. I wish I knew who our server was, I can't remember her name, it was last Saturday in a little back room and with brown hair, anyway she was super nice and had some regulars in that loved her too! This is a great place to take the family for breakfast and brunch!

I have been here a few times now and I am NEVER disappointed. My daughter brought me here & it is easy to see why she loves it so much! The food has amazing flavors! Fresh. Vibrant. Nice sized portions.. I could go on & on! Plenty of parking and clean bathrooms Why haven't you visited? Thank you so very much for a pleasent & mouth watering meal every time! It is very precious time with my daughter & I am grateful for a superb place to go & catch up with her & her husband! ((( thank you )))

Garlic Fried Rice - The Real Breakfast of Champions Filipinos have a lot of trump cards, but morning cuisine was a hand I thought the Hoosiers had. I'm not saying this beats your traditional 2x2x2 or gravy laden plate, but A2Z's splash of Oceanside removed the very notion of cortisol from my system. Don't worry though, service remained the Midwest nonchalant we all know and love, believe that. It's a must to kick things off with some fried biscuits for the table. I'm firmly a savory guy, but a sampler of hot cinnamon sugar dough deserves the play. Following this up with some marinated Tapsilog steak strips felt akin to a well-timed no-look one-two passing combo. Seamless and sexy. Could the portions have been larger? Absolutely. But coming off of Thanksgiving everything feels too small. Just a growing boy finding his way in the world, can you blame me?

    Gross

Ate here with my mom about a month ago for Sunday brunch. Although it was terrible, I originally was not going to write a review because I usually try to support local business. A parking lot altercation with the owner made me forgo that rule. To start the food was gross. Eggs tasted like powder and the steak was leather. I would be happy with this if it was a free meal, but it was extremely over priced for what you get. Coffee taste like folgers but somehow worse. Wish I could give this a 0/5. save your money and get a better breakky at Wawa across the street.

Wow. What a find. If you are looking for a local place with all kinds of atmosphere and fantastic food this is your place. Came here the morning after a the Sammy Hagar concert and it was fantastic. I had the low carb plate. The eggs were perfect. My son had the A2Z sandwich and it was flavorful. The service was very good. He was helpful and my Cody never went cold. This is a can't miss. Highly recommended.

I wanted to go here because of the Hawaiian items on the menu, specifically the spam musabi. When I arrived at 12p on a Sat, they were packed! I had to wait about 3 min just for a seat at the bar. I noticed on the menu that it said the spam musubi was available in limited quantities, so I was surprised when they said they still has some. I ordered one spam musubi, one Ala carte French toast (2 pieces) and a POG to drink. The musabi was good, but I felt like it had too much rice. The flavoring of the spam was overpowered by the rice. The POG was mostly orange juice. But the French toast was good. And the service was good too. I don't know of I'll be back. I was a bit disappointed. The items are definitely better in Hawaii.

Daily/weekend specials- the Island Burrito was great!

The staff, drinks, food, music and overall atmosphere are consistently exceptional. The cocktail menu is fantastic. My personal favorite is the painkiller - a delicious blend of coconut, rum, orange, pineapple, and nutmeg. It's served in a skull glass and tastes absolutely perfect. I also appreciate that they make their noodles in house! Have you ever had a meal you can't stop thinking about? That's exactly how I feel about the shoyu ramen. It features their noodles, truffle zest, pork belly, egg, veggies and chicken in a deeply flavorful broth. Order a side of rice and dip it into the broth and thank me later! Patio seating available.

We came in on a Friday night at 6:30 with no reservation, and had to wait ~5 minutes for a table of two. We were sat at a high top at the bar, which we appreciated. Our server greeted us quickly, and checked in a few times throughout the night. Service was average, nothing spectacular but nothing to complain about. I had a hurricane to start off. Packed full of the good stuff, and one was definitely enough for the night. Appropriate price for what you get. This drink is what brought my review from a 2 for the food to a 3 in total. We started off with pork Bao buns. The bun was spongy, but somewhat dry. The pork lacked any sort of flavor, and the sauce on it didn't do much for me. The next part of the meal was the most disappointing for me: the curry chicken wings. Let me tell you- I was excited for these. These lacked any sort of flavor at all, and the only thing saving it was the ranch. The wings had a good crisp, but the sauce was lacking taste. I had the Shoyu ramen for my main. It was a pretty average bowl of ramen, but for the price, I expected more. The pork in it was flavorful, but the chicken in it was odd in my opinion with an unexpected herby flavor. Overall, service was average (but we appreciated getting sat fast), drinks were strong (and saved the meal) and the food was average. Would go if invited by a friend, but probably would not return on my own.

The drinks were so fancy and they came in a fancy glass, tiki mug, or coconut shaped mug which I loved! I ordered the Tambaran Firedancer and I'm so glad I did, it came with a whole fire show and it tasted great. It had the right combination of alcohol and other juices. I also ordered the coconut cream pie and it was good. There were some highbacked chairs in the corner, but the table between them was small and low to the ground... First of all, this is the cutest little spot. They are located right on the strip in Broad Ripple, which is one of my favorite walkable neighborhoods. Every item on the menu sounds good, but I opted for the Birria Ramen and the Birria Empanadas. The young woman working at the register was very kind and helpful. She answered any questions that we had and did the same for the ladies that entered the shop shortly after we'd placed our order. We sat at one of the tables and prepared for what was to come. The ramen ($16) is definitely shareable. I got, roughly, 2.5 servings out of mine. The broth/consommé was a bit fatty/oily, but in the best way possible. It was flavorFUL and the birria was tender and abundant. The fresh onions and cilantro were the perfect final touch. I usually have to add salt and pepper to dishes when I eat out, but everything here was just right. A squeeze of lime did me just fine! The empanadas were also a bit oily. Obviously, they are deep fried, but once you have the addition of the generally oily birria, then you have leakage-level oil. I said all of that to say that they were still delicious and I still ate 2 out of 3 of them. My husband had the third! I can't wait until I'm in the area again to try out more of their delicious menu items.

I feel like most seafood places will have vegetarian options by way of removing the fish from pasta dishes or salad, but it's also nice to know that you can get chicken as a substitute on most of these kinds of dishes, too. Granted, it's just like chicken tenders, but still good nonetheless. I really like their firecracker pasta, which is moderately spicy in my opinion. There's no particular fishy smell here, which is always a good sign that the seafood they serve here is freshly prepared. Our food always comes out quickly for lunch and we've been a group as large as 8 or 9. I do believe that ordering is mostly done online in their mass Ave location, though. I don't really seek out a place like Slapfish on my own (no offense at all, just not a seafood girlie!!), but I would assume that it's a rather popular establishment as they recently opened a fifth location in the greater Indy area. If I did like fish and such more, I'd probably be here on a more regular rotation.

I love spicy Kani so I got the make your own bowl which seems to be popular because you don't get charged extra for items. Service was great! Not sure if he was the owner but he was very nice and made great suggestions since it was my first time. I didn't care for the seaweed salad so I'll opt out of that next time. It was like sushi in a bowl. Next time I'd like to try their shaved ice.
