Really really bad followup. They have had my car for 41 then they decide they do not fix engines. I have done business with them in the past and always had red flags on and off as quality was slowly going down. Like they would forget to reset service engine lights, or maintenance lights, or change the battery in the key fab, or license plate light bulbs, they used to wash and vacuum the car, not anymore. something all good shops normally don't miss, but lately its all been down hill. I would not use this shop at all. They have an absentee owner and all decisions have to go through the owner but the owner is never available so you just get the round and round and round.... Waste of time. I would not recommend this shop at all. read more

I was looking for places to get my Fiance's 03 VW Jetta's brakes replaced as they needed servicing very badly. After calling around to places in the Bellevue area, no one had any open slots for immediate service or were extremely expensive, I called Mike and Dave and AA Auto Service. They were extremely helpful over the phone in getting me a price quote for normal service. I was quoted around 350$ for one axle, this seemed a little high to me at 1st glance but you get what you pay for here. I was also on a bit of a time crunch as I was calling at noon and had to be back in Bellevue by 5. They said they should be able to get it done no problem and if worst come to worst they had a rental that they would be able to lend me in the interim. That compounded with a 1st time customer discount that I was offered sold me on this place. Upon getting there I was warmly greeted by both Dave and Mike and they said that they would get my car on the jack as fast as possible and see what the damage is. Turned out that all the pads and rotors needed replacing. They even took me out to the shop and let me take a look for myself as the mechanic was explaining the nuances of working with a VW and what all was happening withing the braking system. I have never had a shop due this with their customers before and it was very welcome. This jumped the price and very possible the time it would take to complete quite a bit. The new quote ended up being 675$ish and I was not really excited to hear that. Upon voicing my concerns Mike was very frank and told me to pretty much just lay it on him. I voiced that I felt that was a little high and he assured me I could get the work done cheaper but at the expense of parts, this is where things get good, AA Auto tests out all their products and sells/recommends only what they are comfortable installing on their own vehicles. This put my mind at ease a bit and he said he knows the feeling when it comes to spending a lot of money on car maintenance especially when bills are due the and other life issues. He then worked his magic and gave me a nice "good faith" discount per say. While I was there they had other customers come in from all over. There was even a guy that came down from Everett to get his car serviced and you could tell he goes only here as they knew him by name and were just chatting it up like old college pals. I ended up out the door with a bill of 605$ and just over 4 hours later. Everyone was extremely upfront and friendly, including the owner Aaron, the entire experience really made me feel like they care about their customers as if they were family as any good business should. I will highly recommend this place to anyone who needs work done and will be taking my 95 del sol to them exclusively. read more

Mike and his crew were kind, patient and knowledgeable, sharing in my disappointment at what needed to be repaired (it wasn't cheap), but also helping me understand the different aspects to what the repair entailed. They called several different parts shops to find the part needed, and really worked hard to get it done as quickly as possible. They also allowed me to call a friend who's worked in the industry before without pressure, just to back up their accurate opinion on the cost. (Finishing review from summer of 2016) I was referred to this shop by a coworker who has had far better experience than I did. The "simple" tune up was quoted at a price that was way too high! I was told that I'd find cheaper because everyone else uses crap parts. Crap parts or no, I need a working car, so I shopped around. I found a shop that was using the same quality parts for half the price. When they began repairs they had me look at some of the parts that had been "thoroughly" checked by AA. They were still super dirty and looked like no one had touched it in awhile. Even driving the car from AA to the other shop would NOT have accumulated this much dirt. I definitely got the impression that the diagnostic check that was done was subpar. I'm suspicious that they didn't really do a diagnostics check. Another shop had used the incorrect spark plugs, and this went undetected by them as well. I also understand my father can be very forward, especially when he's calling in to discuss why the prices are so high. However, badmouthing him when I come to pick up the car isn't going to help me feel welcomed back to the shop anytime soon. I'm sure they do use quality parts, however the markup seems steep. read more

Great service! On a Friday we were in a bind with a problem with our truck before a weekend in which we really needed it. I called AA and they said to bring it down and they should be able to fit it in. Well, they did and they fixed it no problem, no hassle. They also noticed the oil was very low so they did an oil change too. Super happy! read more

I have been a customer of AA Auto for years. I started with the kids Jetta which always seems to have major problems. After receiving a few estimates, which were, to me, over kill, I brought it to AA Auto. Cliff promptly called me with the diagnostic, explained everything and gave me an estimate over the phone. It was a FAIR estimate and it did not exceed the amount when I picked up my car at the given time it was to be finished. AA Auto now services not only the Jetta but our Highlander and Q45. Their employees are friendly and professional. If I were fortunate enough to own a Ferrari I most definitely would bring it to them! The extra perk is when I pick up the car, it has been washed! AA Auto has been working on my vehicles for some time and I have grown used to being treated well. These guys may seem a bit pricey but they are thorough, know what they are doing, and stand behind the work they do. When I have had unexpected issues (I have had to tow in on more than one occasion) I always feel well treated and getting me back on the road is a top priority. Customers obviously come first here and unexpected extras like washing a vehicle or offering a ride home are a nice surprise. I have had to bring my SUV back once when a rattle developed under the dash several weeks after I had some AC service done. They tore back into it without question and resolved my issue free of charge. I wasn't even completely sure they were related but just the possibility was enough for them. These guys are straight shooters. I will continue having my service done at AA. read more

Wow! This is as real as it gets. I drive into a miniature ocean of a puddle and dislodge something under my car. I'm dealing with what sounds like a muffler dragging on the ground as my car is in motion. I called and spoke with the most friendly, low-key-speaking guy ever--thanks Michael, who verbally quoted me a minimal fix-it-fee and said I could stop in first thing on Monday (after Thanksgiving) to have someone at the center take a look. I arrived and was directed to go inside to give the particulars to Adrianne-who was very quick and efficient. As I sat waiting for the verdict on my problem and final cost, I watched as returning customers spoke with the staff as if they were longtime friends..."Now that's a place I want to take my car". I recently stopped by to see if I could have the front end protective cover that had come off repaired. It was a small weird job and I didn't expect anyone to want to help but I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did the guy come out to take a look at what I was talking about he jumped right on it. Took my wife's Subaru in for a recommended service. They do an inspection to see what you actually need. Turns out the car didn't need anything but new air filter and cabin filter which I will replace myself. What a novel idea to actually see what you need instead of just changing everything. They even know me on a first name basis which tells me that they truly care about their customers. They are always honest, reliable, and thorough. When I was having an issue with my tires, they took the time to help problem-solve the issue and referred me directly to someone at the tire shop where I purchased the tires. Can't recommend these people enough. I took my car in for a mysterious problem (slow brake fluid leak) that none of the 3 dealers and 1 mechanic i took it to prier could find the cause. I brought my car in to AA Auto Service Center to get an oil and air filter change and tire rotation. It's easily the best choice for car service in the Redmond area for a few reasons. 1. The service was incredibly speedy. I brought my car in at 8am with no appointment and they were finished shortly after noon. 2. It's always a pain to get a car serviced during working hours but AA offers free rides to/from work within a reasonable distance! Minimal impact to my day. 3. The people are easy to talk to and very nice. 4. They vacuumed and washed my car for free too! If you need some work done on your car, look no further. AA is the best spot in the area. read more

Took in my Ford Focus because i put my car in a ditch after i hit black ice. Following the event I was smelling some burning rubber and a really nasty squeaking sound when i was turning the wheel, I was in some serious trouble. Knowing most mechanics will try to up sell the situation I brought my car into AA Auto Service and Mike, the Manager, informed me my car had some issues but gave me the honest truth, i needed a new belt and new front end chassis with a realignment. Not competent, and clearly dishonest. Unnecessary repair, and a lie to cover it up. The car had developed a grinding noise. For an $80 fee, the shop diagnosed a bad water pump. After doing the work, the manager called and told me that there was a new noise (which they couldn't hear before because the bad water pump was so noisy), and I needed a new power steering pump. That was a LIE: replacing the water pump had not fixed the original noise, and they were hoping that I would authorize the power steering pump repair over the phone, without ever realizing that the water pump repair had been unnecessary. Eventually I got a few hundred dollars refunded via the AAA auto club, because the shop broke the law when it refused to return the old water pump to me. read more

My second visit to AA Auto Service Center in Redmond was even better than the first. We brought in a 98 tacoma with over 200,000 miles on the motor. A day after we picked this thing up we blew one of the head gaskets charging up Snoqualmie pass because of our own neglect in scrutinizing any problems the truck might have had. Being crunched for time and not able to get into this work myself the guys over at AA Auto tore that thing apart and fixed EVERYTHING in less than 6 days and gave us back a virtually new feeling truck. These guys are experts, and they are professionals in every way. All I can say is next time I'll bring our vehicles in BEFORE, I throw caution to the wind... As a side note, the owner of this place is a direct competitor to me in my own line of work in an unrelated industry. One of the reasons I am compelled to stand up for this business is because of the standard of conduct demonstrated by it's owner, which of course as a consequence must be reflected in the employees who work here. I completely trust theses guys with my car! They had serviced by BMW for years at their Euro division and they were always honest and never tried to talk me into unnecessary services I recently bought a used 2010 Ford Escape. A few days later it started to make a strange noise that only happened for the first 1/4 mile or so after starting. The place I bought it from said it was normal engine lifter noise for a high mileage car. A Ford dealership wanted to tear the engine apart to see if the noise was something that would be covered by the warranty I purchased - they thought probably a new engine. AA Auto found that it was a brake part that was loose and would go back in place after it warmed up! That diagnosis/repair was under $200 - the dealer wanted to spend THOUSANDS on a repair that obviously did not need to be done! I completely recommend AA Auto. read more

Customer service was very poor and unprofessional. I called ahead for a simple oil change and was schedule at 4pm. I came in at 4pm and was told that it's full and the manager told me to come back next day at 9am in the morning. I came back at 9am in the morning and he told me that it's full and the wait time is at least 3 hours. He even seems to avoid eye contact with me! I have not experience any thing like this at all. Took my Subaru in due to an issue with the axle. Not only did They tell me the problem was a leaky gear box, they quoted me 1600 and were rude to me and my wife. Saying "most customers would have no problem paying that". They charged me 160 for the diagnosis which i specifically didn't authorize.and, I told them to tell me if they were going to need to do any paid work. Because of how rude and shady they were I went to see the awd auto, they correctly identified all of my cars maintenance needs, were professional, and fair priced. Basically I threw away money at Aa auto and their recommended fix wouldn't have fixed my problem. I replaced the brakes and rear axle with another shop and car works like a dream now. I would never go to this shop, one of the worst experiences I've had with mechanics. They will rip you off and should not ever be trusted. read more

Where do I even start! These guys came through right when we needed them. I got stranded on a parking lot and the closest repairing shop was this facility. I was charged over $350 for work they did not perform on my car. The only way I found out that they had charged me for nothing was because a light came on indicating a low fluid level and I went back and saw the mechanic outside and spoke with him direct. He acted surprised that the front office had charged me for anything because he said they had told him not to do anything and "close it up". I took the mechanic to the front desk with me where they were forced to admit they had charged me for no work performed and refunded the money to my credit card. We brought our 2003 Ford Focus to these guys for an exhaust leak and oil change. We trusted them because we've used them previously and been fairly happy with them. They found and fixed alls sorts of other items that were'nt authorised. When I called and tried to talk with them about it, the genteman that called me back was very rude and assertive about suppsosedly explaining everything to my wife. He was so forceful I told him he lost a customer and hung up on him. In the 7 or 8 times we've had our car there they have only washed it once. They promise to wash and vaccum it every time they service it. Watch you back when you take your car here. Make sure they only do services you understand and authorise. read more
