First, let me say that I have used this company many times, But will never call them again. I called them out to my rental appartment to repair a broken washing machine, on the day they were coming out the guy was very rude about me being there to pay him but he was over an hour late. so I had to leave, My tenant was there to let him in to check the machine, he was also very rude to my tenant. after he assesed the problem, I called him to find out what the problem was and how much it would be to fix it, the man would not tell me what was wrong with the machine until I paid him for the service call. Had the seal on our sub zero refrigerator replaced by A Appliance Experts 2 yrs ago. Our fridge is from 1989. A cheaper seal was used by A Appliance Experts. The seal on the freezer portion is much thicker and more durable. The seal on the fridge ripped! We also gave them $500.00 as a deposit to order a new bin as the wheels were broke. I called to inquire if the parts came in. They had the repairman Johnny (who does not own the company) call me back! Poor customer service!! A Appliance "experts" came to my house to fix a comercial dishwasher. The repair guy told my husband there was nothing he could do and was not allowed to open the electrical panel. He then wrote on the paper work that the dishwasher was wired incorrectly, charged me 187.00 and left. Thanks for nothing! I won't be using your company ever again. Read this whole thing, because I'm going to try and save you some money. I called up with an LG refrigerator in need of repair. I knew it was likely the compressor. Over the phone they emphasized to me that is was $140 for showing up. It would be applied toward a repair, but would still be charged if nothing was done. The repairman arrives, confirms it's a compressor, and says there's nothing he can do without a part. He hands me a bill for $140. I pay him. I contact LG as the compressor is under warranty, but not the installation. They send an email to A-Appliance with instructions how to order the replacement part. I call the office to confirm receipt of the email and to talk about installation costs. The guy tells me it's $2200. I ask him what his hourly labor rate is for that. He says no, that's for the job, and it's because LG parts are of terrible quality and he doesn't want to be responsible for the job after. I thank him and hang up. Now you may think he did me a favor, but the reality is they could have told me from the start they don't service LG refrigerators. Instead, they were too glad to send someone plug in the machine, confirm it wasn't working, and bill me for $140 for the privilege before quoting astronomical prices for the next step. The timer on our washing machine croaked late on a Friday night, so we decided to call and leave a message. To our surprise, not only did someone answer the phone, but they scheduled a technician to come out the following day. The technician arrived a little later than they said he would, but he proceeded to do a very thorough check of the washing machine to verify the problem, gave a quote and said he would order the part. He said it would take about a week. We got a call about 8 days later to schedule the repair, and the representative was very friendly and worked with our schedule to find a good time for us. The technician came out within the scheduled time, installed the part, tested it and then proceeded to check the shaft and balance the legs. He also gave us some very good tips on how to keep the washing machine working well. The whole family thinks the washer works better now than it ever did before. We had researched beforehand to get an idea of a reasonable price, and they were within our expectations. We had a very good experience with this company last year when they came out to repair our oven, and we won't hesitate to call them again. read more

I can't leave no stars, which is what I would do. The technician came and seemed to feel that because I'd purchased an expensive stove that I was ready to be fleeced. He snipped a wire, telling me that the electric connection needed to be replaced. It took 15 minutes, for which he charged me 240$, telling me it was a deposit to replace the connection that would be another 200 to 300$ dollars and that he would contact me in a day or two. I was quoted $290 to replace a water valve in my dishwasher. I thought that sounded really expensive, and asked for the breakdown. He said the part is only $75, so the bulk of the quote was for labor. He estimated it would take him and hour and a half to two hours, and since the service call was going to be $140 regardless, I reluctantly agreed. He was done in 20 minutes. I asked the new price since he finished so much faster than what he told me, and he said it is still $290. He was at my house for a total of an hour. The part actually costs $30, so he charged me $260 for an hour of labor. What a fricking rip off. I didn't look at these reviews before I called them, sadly. When we told them we only wanted them to fix one of the items due to them switching things up, they came out, and tried to increase the price on that item a third time! He just told me to defrost it every six months! I called back in September and Carlos was sent. He knew what to do. He is so professional and personable. Took FOUR visits to replace the hose to the ice maker on my Kenmore refrigerator, which should have been completed in two. One for the inspection, one for a partial hose replacement, another for hose inspection which broke 1/2 in. below his splice within hours of the "repair" and another to finally replace the hose. Kris, the repairman, didn't seem to think women knew anything because of his attitude and his "10 minute" visits each time. Seemed he was always in a hurry. I should not even leave one star. The customer service was terrible and I was hung up on when I called wondering where my technician was. I was told between 3-6 pm and it was after 6 and no show. The call I received at 5:15 said " He's on his way". 45 minutes later: no show!! I had to be the one to call and inquire. Last winter I used this company to look at my parents' washer and Juan was actually very nice , but that was the fastest $90 to slip through my hands. Right away it was too much to fix!! I should have read the reviews, I would have seen reviews where they say the same thing. I was charged $90, was told it would cost about $600 to repair. I could buy a new washer for that price. The part that bothers me is after I told him I would just buy a new washer but I would like for him to clean out the vent from the dryer he told me he didn't have a leaf blower. He didn't even bother to open up the back of the washer to show me what needed to be replaced. In my opinion he was just guessing and throwing something out there that he has no idea exactly what is wrong with the washer. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!! I had a guy "Paco" come out to look at my double oven (not igniting). He made up some story about how the thermostats where broken and it would cost $2600 for parts. And then said it would take all day to fix and be $900 for labor. The stove cost me $2400 brand new... I had a friend in the restaurant industry refer me to their maintenance man. He came out and replaced two thermal coils ($50 each) and it took 30 minutes. I gave him $100 for parts and $100 for labor. He even recalibrated the thermostats for free. Hmmm, $3500 or $200. Absolutely incompetent and unprofessional. They turned a very minor problem with water flow into a blown mother board through a total lack of skill and knowledge. They lied about ordering parts, struggled to communicate at every turn, made appointments and didn't show up. We ended up with no dish washer for a month and a major problem. I had Appliance Xperts come out to look at our washer. The person who arrived was rude and disheveled. He wasn't wearing his mask correctly. He was irritated that our washer was in a somewhat tight spot and pouted the entire time that he was looking at our washer. He was rude and defensive when I expressed surprise at how costly the repair was. It was obvious he did not want us to use them for the repair. He was unpleasant in every way. His quote for the repair was comparable to the other quote we got, so at least there's that. And they were on time. But, I won't be going back to them. Was recommended to this business and couldn't be happier in EVERY aspect. They are always prompt and don't leave you waiting. When they say they are going to be there they are there. They also are very open to working around your schedule. Prices are very reasonable and the work is EXCELLENT. Juan is our go to guy and he always goes above one beyond. Not only has he been able to fix our appliances but he showed us little tips on how to extend the life of all our appliances which have worked like a charm. He also is very thorough on explaining what caused the issue he was servicing and how to prevent it from happening again. Also, he's gone out of his way to give me information on other projects i'm doing around the house like changing out my toilet seat which I was doing today when he came to fix our dishwasher. I only gave 5 stars because that's the max on yelp. Otherwise i would give 10. I will keep it simple. Terrible customer service. The person who answers the phone and schedules the work is extremely rude. He talks over you, abruptly cuts you off, raises his voice, and when asked a simple question like, "can you provide me with an estimate?" he rudely replies, " I am not Jesus Christ." They came to my condo twice to service my dryer and were unable to identify the issue, but recommended multiple parts replacements which did not work. I would have been better off buying a new dryer. The only positive experience I had was that the technician - Jose was very nice. He seemed to be working hard and I could tell he was trying to help, but he may have been in over his head on this one. Twice now we had an issue with our 13 year old refrigerator. Today our refrigerator was not cooling and was getting warmer and warmer. 2 hours later amazingly enough it was repaired. Fantastic service and the repairman was excellent, diagnosed the problem immediately, had the part in the truck and it was repaired in less than an hour. I contacted this business to repair my washer in June. I had a service man come to my house on 6/24/2020 and was told my washer needed to have the lock replaced. I informed the service man that the problem was not the lock it was the washer because it would not have remained locked after the washer was completed. He ordered the part anyway and charged $290.00 to replace the lock. The next day her came to replace the lock and I asked him to run a cycle. As soon as the cycle started, the washer again locked itself and would not run. He told me that they would order something else and be back. He returned with another Sr Technician on 7/15/2020 to replace some part they ordered and then informed me the part was not correct and that they had to deal with the manufacturer to see what the next step would be. I waited 15 days and no response, so I called on 7/30, 7/31, 8/1, and 8/2. On 8/3 I received a call from the Sr technician to say that they haven't received a resolution from the manufacturer. On 8/12 a new technician came to my house and said that he figured out the problem and it was the main machine control board part# 5304521907 and it was on back order so it may be a while. I waited another week and began searching the internet for the part to see if I could find it. I found the part on 6 websites and only 1 of them said backorder. I called 1-week later 8/19 and asked if I could order the part myself and have them install it. I was told if I did, they would not give me a guarantee and I should wait for them to get it in for the guarantee. 9/1 I called again to see if I could get a status and was told they would call me back. I waited again and called 9/8 to see if I could get a status, no call back. I called 9/9 and was finally told that the part was located, and they were told they could get it by 9/10 or 9/11. I called back on 9/12 and was told the part is still on backorder and they would speak with the technician and they would call me back on 9/14. No call so I called back 9/15 to see what the technician had advised and was told that they would find out and call me back. On 9/22 I called back and spoke with Emoni and was told that she had no update for me and could have the technician call me back. I advised that at this point it had been over 3 months that I had been very patient with them and since August I was more patient being told the part was on backorder. I also advised that as of the call on 9/15 I had ordered the part myself and had received it, so I wanted to sever ties with the company. I also advised that I would be filing a complaint with the BBB of their service and I wanted to know if they could send out a technician to put my washer back together since they had completely dismantled it in June. She told me she could send out a technician today around 3pm-6pm to put it back together and if I didn't mind letting her know where I purchased the part from. I gave her the information and was told that they could have the technician install it. For fear that they have already told me they would not guarantee a part I purchased myself, I was very uneasy in trusting this company that has had not so great customer service, install my part. I was leery that they would do something to sabotage the part and then I would be left in the same position I was in at this time. read more

My rating is Zero stars! I am reporting this company to the BBB. Tech scratched the model number off of my appliance when i inquired about the part he quoted and left. The part quoted (washer drain pump) was $150, labor was $160. I just wanted to verify he was giving an honest cost for the part before committing. I called for ice-maker repair. They sent out a gentlemen who spent approx 1 to 1.5 hours working on the ice maker. It had been leaking internally and freezing clogging up the dispenser and ice buildup inside the fridge door. He added some form of extension to the water tube. I did not get the $20 discount for scheduling the service when I called. About an hour after he left I noticed a puddle of water where the ice dispenses. Instead of fixing the lead, he just changed where it was leaking. I called to have another service technician come out and the man who answered the phone basically told me I was wrong. That it must be fixed and the man that came out is a very experienced and smart. Instead of scheduling another visit he was berating me. The man who came out spent most of the time here telling me how to work all my appliances, I should know where the water turn off is for emergencies and that I should have a back up fridge. I am 69 years old and have owned homes for the last 45 years. Seriously, Just fix the icemaker. I have stopped payment on the check I wrote and will be calling another company for repair. read more

I had A-Appliance Xperts come and estimate repairing my LG French door refrigerator. They first assumed it was a fan issue for not cooling and then after talking with a more experienced tech at the office the tech let me know that it was not cooling because of low refrigerant which would cost $690 to recharge. I called another repair place to recharge it but it turned out not to be low on refrigerant. It turned out to be a compressor which parts were covered by LG. Granted LG is frustratingly slow to deal with and that may be the way A-Appliance Xperts avoids repairing these but they charged me $90 for the service call. I've had other work done at my buildings by them but I would avoid calling them. They are quick and courteous but not the ones to call. read more

Never in my life have I encountered a worse customer service experience than at A-Appliance Xperts Inc. Nearly 3 months ago I had them come out to repair my dishwasher and to date it has not been repaired. They came out, told me it required labor and parts, took half my money and have yet to return to finish the job. However, these facts are not the most frustrating part. I have requested and then demanded a refund for the down payment for parts and services I have never received and they have ignored and then refused my requests. A-Appliance Xperts Inc should not be in business. I have been treated horribly and encountered extreme gender biased and racist comments and treatment. As a white woman I am appalled to hear them say things like "It's not our fault the part isn't in...we should shoot the Japs who made it.." etc. They have repeated made commitments to contact me or finish the job which have not been fulfilled. They treat me on the phone EXTREMELY disrespectfully and cut me off in a demeaning manner every attempt I make to speak. They lie about making calls and leaving voicemails to try to excuse their extreme incompetence. Absolutely horribly shocking, unprofessional and disgusting all around! I asked multiple times through multiple contact #s to speak to an owner. The South Suburbs manager said the owner was "Frank" and would only give me his number. Frank is NOT the owner and is just another manager. Frank said people view him as the owner and would NOT provide me with the owner's name.
