Joel is the best. My father in Lincoln Park has a vintage 1980s Sub-Zero built-in refrigerator that two authorized Chicago Sub-Zero repair companies said they couldn't get parts for or would fix. My oven stopped working and after some googling, I knew that it was the gas ignitor that needed to be replaced. I bought the part and attempted to replace it myself, but I realized I'd need to splice some wires and did not feel comfortable doing so. After struggling to find anyone that would come do it for a reasonable price, I called up Adams Refrigeration who was able to come out the same day! Joel to the rescue again! He fixed my freezer a few years back. I forgot he also did HVAC repairs. I had another company out for a noisy fan on my furnace, they said the fan needed to be replaced for $400. The noise wasn't that bad so I left it. Fast forward several months later and the noise is getting really bad, so I call Joel. He stopped by the next day, cleaned and checked my furnace and realigned the fan as he didn't think it needed to be replaced. My refrigerator began to blow warm air after I purchased my river north condo and I was not pleased with the situation. I looked at refrigeration repair venues on yelp and came across Joel at Adams Refrigeration. I scheduled an appointment for him to come out the next day; after an initial assessment, he quickly resolved the issue by replacing the motherboard which had blown out. The charges were more than fair, not too much more than the price of the new motherboard which I had researched on Amazon.
