I was in town for business, and after a long day of training, I just wanted to relax. I couldn't resist the $40 for a mani/pedi and 20 minute massage deal, so I marched myself over to the salon just before 5:00, and they seated me at a station right away. The service was great, and the chair massage was amazing! My only complaint is that the pedi chairs are on the older side, and mine made a horrible grinding sound, which was a bit distracting. read more

Hard to find a place like this in New York City. The salon is clean and they do a wonderful job. Every single salon I have gone to for a gel manicure,5 days later it is peeling off my nails. It's been 2 weeks since I got a gel mani here and it still looks great. No peeling or chipping. Lucy was wonderful. I had a pedi and mani, both gel, and she gave me her full attention, filled a crack in the nail, paid careful attention and then topped it with a killer massage, firm, and experienced. I went in for a mani pedi on Friday and despite being packed (the salon is pretty small) the service was quick and efficient. They have a solid color collection and the total cost was decent ($24). Just be sure to bring cash for tip and watch out for extras like massages, which as has been noted by other reviewers, are not free. read more

Been coming here for about a year.. tried a couple in the area but finally settled for this one, mostly because it's around the block from my office and they are usually pretty nice. I took off one star for 2 reasons: 1) the service obviously depends on whose hands you end up in as some are better and/or nicer than others. There are so many of them I can't keep track of my favorites. 2) the color selection gets a bit boring. I wish they would invest in more of the new colors that come out for the different seasons. Overall though, they consistently do a good job, so you can't go wrong if you're looking for a quality mani/pedi in the area. read more

Best. Pedicure. Ever. I was a walk in and was helped right away. They have a pick your own level of pedicure. I went for a$45 one that included a 10 min massage. So heavenly I added another 10 min for$10. She really spent a lot of time on my calluses, more than any other pedi I've ever had. read more

You better stay away from this place. We got there for pedi, they offered us (me and my friend) some upgraded pedi which was of course more expensive, since we had lots of dead skin. We agreed. After the 10 min foot massage they offered us 10 min more with extra 10 euros, and we agreed. After the pedi they took us to some other room and started to massage our shoulders, saying something about extra 30$ we'll have to pay for it. We stopped them right away, they tried to convince us but we refused. Whole in whole we had a very bed experience, we kept feeling they're trying to get more money from us in sneaky ways. After I got home I realised the pedi was quite shitty and I still have skin there that they haven't removed at all! We've paid 67 euros for nothing. Really solid nail salon. I've tried a few places in the area and nothing compares to AA's quality. I got a gel mani a few days ago and it's still perfect - Angela really took care of me! Love that I have found AA nails. CoCo does your nails to PERFECTION and takes her time, you will not feel rushed at all. If there are any mistakes she will fix it right away. My nails always come out looking way better than I thought they would. I have also been for pedicures a few times and they are wonderful. I have gotten the blueberry spa pedicure which was great and included 10 min massage and I left feeling like a new person. I would definitely recommend this place. I actually keep coming here now even though its out of my way just because CoCo is so great and the service and staff are so nice. I do recommend making an appointment as it can get busy sometimes. My friend and I just got our mani's and pedis at this store and out mani's (gel) look HORRIBLE!!!! Also what a RIP off... they keep saying massage, massage and massage you hands/legs for 10 mins and wayyyyy over charge! They need to put up signs indicating the cost of a massage! We walk out paying close to $200!!!! The person who did my nails was Xing... I DO NOT RECCOMEND HER!!! Stay away.... you tell her you have a hard stop, she say's OK, OK don't worry and then you walk out of there later than you had too. I will never return back to this place again. Stopped in for a quick nail clipping one day and decided to stick around for a half hour massage - one of the best i ever had! - I am now a regular customer and being an avid golfer i use the massage service to get me loosened up for a weekend of Golf or when i overdo it I go see my "doctor" Sofia - she knows how to get the kinks out. These ladies are awesome! Coco is a true artist she runs the shop. Next Jessica is diligent and detail oriented. They greet you warmly and there is an air of comfort in the spa. I would give this place 0 stars if I could! I went here only because I work 1/2 a block away. After waiting for approximately 15 minutes, the lady who did my nails was extremely rude and pushy. She tried to sell me the massage package despite me politely refusing several times. After that, she disappeared into what seemed like the pantry at the back of the salon for over 10 minutes while I just sat there. Finally when she returned, she filed my nails so roughly that one of them chipped in half! Save your time and money for some place else! read more

very busy after work with almost every seat being occupied, but there are a lot of ladies who work here so you are serviced relatively quickly. the girls did a great job with the color and they do have a nice selection of colors, but i felt like they rushed me too quickly. my massage was lacking (and of course they charge you extra for each minute) and when moving from the pedi spa to the mani table, we were practically walking over or weaving around other customers, the ladies, and other chairs and "stuff". for the same amount of money, i can get a better massage in a smaller but less crowded salon in the financial district and may take my business elsewhere next time. read more

I really wanted to like this place - both for its convenient location to my office and the good reviews on Yelp. I think my experience was tainted by the technician who did my gel manicure. One of the worst manicures I've ever had. She asked if I wanted my nails filed or cut - I said filed, but she could cut a little to even out some of the longer ones. She then proceeded to cut all of my nails down to nubs. I didn't realize what she did until she was done with the first hand, and then it was too late. After that she proceeded to smudge my nails with her hand repeatedly, then tried to get me to squeeze both hands into the UV dryer - which I kept saying I couldn't do without smudging my other nails - yet she kept trying. Finally she got a second dryer and finished my nails that way. I do not recommend for a relaxing experience or for a great manicure. But again - maybe another technician would have been better. read more

I just left this place. 2.5 stars. I was taken right away, and had two separate ladies doing my hands and feet. Hate that. It was so rushed. The lady doing my pedicure was making smart comments in whatever dialect she spoke, it seems. I didn't have time to pick a color, so they gave me one based on the gel color I picked. It was my mistake for picking a gel color that was sheer. In any case, the color choice was my bad. The pedicure was rough and hurried. I swear, it must have taken 15 minutes. The lady doing my manicure made one of my cuticles bleed. I had to *tell* her to get a styptic to stop the bleeding. After that, she was more gentle, but still, nothing special. After I was done, no one helped me get out of the chair, or rolled my pant legs down. At the drying station, she gave me the bill. The gel manicure and pedicure is $46 plus tax, so $48.30. I'd rather pay a little more and have more thorough service. Once it was over, she stood over me to wait for the tip, which she told me had to be in cash. I'm still looking to find a good nail spot in the area, but until then, I'm disappointed. read more

This place rocks. It's extremely clean and reasonable. The nail technician did an awesome job on my pedicure and manicure. Extremely thorough job on the pedicure. Did I mention I had a 30 min massage and mani/pedi for $48?! I will definitely come here the next time I'm in town. read more

I think they do a pretty solid job with nails here and the fact that they are open late is a big plus for me. The place is pretty clean as these types of salons go. They do try to up charge you quite a bit, but overall the work is quality work and you never have to wait to long for a chair to open up. read more

I thought I'd give this place a try after seeing all the good reviews they showcase on their main page-mistake. My appointment was at 5 and I was done with a manicure and pedicure at 5:18!! There was no care or concern for my nails, but to get me in and out. They had a special going on for a manicure + pedicure for $23.99. My manicure looks so bad for she barely even buffed them out and they are so bumpy. She didn't say a word until after the 7 minute manicure when she said asked me to pay (which I usually do so I don't mess up my nails) Sammy asked how much tip and I said $4 (17%) and literally laughed out loud and asked me again how much I was going to tip. This was so unprofessional...I tip based on performance not just because it's expected. Why would I tip for a poor performance? Well, this really doomed me for my pedicure. She took 8 minutes to take off my nail polish and reapply another polish without buffing or taking any skin off. I guess because I didn't tip high enough she was careless. I do think some of the technicians are friendly and would of done a better job, but I will never come back to this place. read more

I came in pretty late in the day and got in fairly quickly. The girl that did my nails stayed a little late to finish my nails, which I tipped her accordingly for. Even though she was in a hurry to leave she really took her time on my nails and made sure they were symmetrical and smooth. I used to come to this place all the time since it is conveniently close to my apartment, however I think the new staff are absolutely horrible. I recently got a gel manicure and the woman who dealt with me was extremely rude (she rolled her eyes at me and scoffed when she misunderstood that I wanted a gel manicure instead of a regular manicure). To top it off, she also did a poor job (one of my nails started chipping, even though it was a gel manicure the day after I got them done). I will not be returning anytime soon -_- read more

I'm a return customer from when I visited NYC two years ago. I wouldn't be recommending this place as the manager is dodgy. The sign in the shop indicates $43 for Gel Manicure including 15 mins massage. Admittedly, While my nail was drying she gave me 10 mins and then another 40 mins. She wanted to charge me $50 for massage and the $43 for Gel Manicure plus 20% tip = $111.60!!!! which should have only been $93 including tip. As it was, I paid her $100 in cash as she requested. I was desperately trying to find an open nail salon late evening on July 4th, when I read great reviews about this place. The reviews did not disappoint! I got to the salon around 8pm with two friends. Coco and Sofia were the only employees, which made me nervous that we wouldn't get done in time to see the fireworks. Amazingly, they were able to give everyone pedicures and 10 minute massages -- in an hour! The pedicures were top notch and the massage was so relaxing! Went for my second visit - gel mani, regular pedi, 20 min. massage (one of their packages) for a great deal. They did a great job! I ended up having a toe nail repair as well, and it looks like $5 well spent. My nail broke right too low to cut across - it was a disaster waiting to happen. I was sorted quickly and effectively. My nails look great. My only complaint is that there's really only one OPI lamp for gel nails; the rest are older and turn off really randomly and quickly. That being said, they have a ton of those, so there's always enough for multiple people getting gel mani/pedi. But that's not really a big deal to me, so I'm not changing to a 4... read more
