They used to be good, without any up-sell. Lately they have changed and try to sell a lot of additional services that you don't need. I took my car in for a regular service, and they told me the battery had failed a test and should be replaced. They offered to do it immediately if I paid the estimated $200 plus fee. Unfortunately for them, they forgot that they had pulled the same stunt last year, so the battery was theirs and was still under warranty. When this was pointed out, I was asked to schedule a replacement at a later date, because the battery would now have to be ordered in. They also tried to sell additional work, and claimed my tires need to be replaced after less than 30,000 miles when I can see there's adequate tread left. read more

I received a call from Rick, the store manager, who was apologetic and showed concern. Rick offered to have my driveway pressure washed which I really appreciate. I turned Rick down on this because my driveway has needed pressure washing even before this mishap and it's something that I've put off having done due to the size of the driveway and expense in pressure washing it. I didn't think that would be fair to Tires Plus. Rick asked me what he can do to make me happy and I asked for a free oil change for the future which he agreed to. Stay away from these people! I took my car in for 3 services: oil change, flat repair, and rotation. When I got home, I notice the same flat tire is still at the same location. left rear. This tells me that the rotation was not done but they charged me for all 3 services. You can still see the arrow where they marked the leak. read more

Scam Alert... Tires Plus, Suwanee (Johns Creek Parkway) My car began running hot while driving on Peachtree Parkway, Hwy 141. Even with no mechanical expertise I could see the hose feeding water and coolant to the radiator was detached. My husband reattached the hose temporarily with a clamp from HD and refilled with water so I could limp a few yards down to the Suwanee Tires Plus. "Sure we can repair this but you should have the radiator flushed anyway," which we agreed to. Today I picked the car up and paid the $275 or so. As soon as I got home, car was running hot again with "coolant low" warning light on. Guess what? The same temporary HD clamp was still on the hose and it was detached... again! Tires Plus swears that they flushed the radiator but seems impossible if the hose was disconnected? See pic. They have agreed to refund our money, but if necessary, we'll contest the charges on Amex. Again we reattached the hose/clamp, refilled with water and slowly drove to a reputable shop. Were told its about a ten-minute repair. For the $275 we were charged, I think their hourly rate is higher than what you'd pay for brain surgery! Oh, and they tried to upsell me on two new tires for $1200, claiming there was a razor blade stuck in one, even though these are "run-flat" tires. I have mixed reviews regarding this place, I've had exceptional service in one instance and terrible the next, believe it all depends on who you get at counter. For example, I've had my tires changed here and the service has been great. Staff is friendly and helpful and have been coming here for 3 years to get tires changed, rotated, etc. My trip today was regarding low air pressure and asked the person at the counter if they fill air in my tires. I advised them in advance that I'm a repeat customer but I did purchase a new vehicle and the tires are new and just needed air due to the change in weather. The person refused and said I had to buy tires from them. So I left. I guess you get great service if you're willing to spend $$$ on tires but not helpful unless you buy from them on the spot read more

I dropped my car off for a simple tire patch since I had a nail in my rear tire. When the car was ready to be picked up I was given an estimate of repairs to be made on my car for over $2000. My car was driving fine in the morning when I dropped it off. When I left the shop, the car was hopping and strutting. I feel my car was tampered with big time. This is causing a lot of unnecessary stress. I will take my car to my mechanic who I trust more than anyone else and will never go back to Tires Plus! read more

Wow! What a great stop. I am visiting from South Carolina, about to get on the road home and my husband d sent me a pic o F the lug nut he found in our driveway. Sure enough I was missing one.. Found Tires Plus on Yelp and these guys were so greatt to work with. Even though they were closing everyone was friendly and helpful. Andres and Chaz were especially good. THey rePlaced the lug nut and tightened all the others which were all a bit loose. Scary when I'm getting on the road for a 3 hour trip. If I lived here I would be back, but recommend them to anyone looking for service with integrity and friendly attitude. read more

I have taken my truck here since new for oil changes. I noticed a leak from around the filter and let them know I would be dropping it off. They charged me 30 bucks to tell me I had a leak from the filter... no diagnosis nothing just yes you have a leak. Didn't even try to change the oil. You have lost my business... My first visit to this location and I was very impressed. They have an open floor plan that makes you feel welcome and not isolated while waiting on your vehicle. The place is very clean with lots of light. Each customer service rep was very nice and helpful. Computer monitors are visible to review pricing and very transparent. I had a great experience with this location. Eric, the manager, helped with getting a left bearing fixed, and did so with poise and professionalism. If you get a chance to speak with Eric, he was great - knowledgable, forthcoming and transparent. He went out of his way to fix the issue I had with My volvo, despite the shops busy schedule. The shop is very clean and the workers are courteous and helpful. I had a flat tire and they patched it for free! I would recommend everyone go there if they don't want to wait for long periods of time just to get their tires fixed or replaced. I went to 4 other tire shops that either had no one working the front desks, or asked me to wait 2-5hrs to repair one tire or just told me they won't fix it even after I called them up first to ask. I was also quoted $15.99 to $25 to put a patch on the tire. I called tire plus to all of they would repair it and how much it would cost. The nice gentleman on the phone said they could do it and would do it for free. I drove there and asked the same questions again because I was in doubt. They told me it might take 1-1.5hrs but possibly less. 3 minutes later serviceman took my car in and started working on the tires. They just printed my receipt and told me everything was all set. I was out of there in 20-25 minutes. Great service, no hassling to buy a new tire or set of tires, like the other tire shops did. They even tested my battery for me for free. read more

I purchased a new set of tires under 12 month replacement warranty from this location at the end of October. Total cost $839.00. Today my tire has a bubble in it. The manager told me there's nothing he can do! This is totally unacceptable as I only have one car and now I have no transportation. The customer service at this location is awful!!!!!!!! The whole team is awesome but Brent and J.R. stand out the most. As a woman I felt as if I would be taken advantage of and I stated this when I walked in but I will tell you Brent never let it get to him and said for me not to worry. From that moment on he was true to his word. My car was badly in need of breaks and unbeknownst to me to dangerous to drive. They set me up in a rental and made sure I was able to get home until the car was ready the next day. When I recieved the car back it was working wonderfully! I have been using the guys at this store for over 3 years. They have worked on all my cars including my Mercedes. They are very friendly and really know how to take care of a repeat customers. They don't do work when your car doesn't need it.... they took my car and drove me back home , and then called me when the car was ready. My wife was not available to take me and they drove back to my house to pick my up. I highly recommend making this place a MUST USE PLACE... for auto repair. Do not waste your time or money on these crooks. On multiple occasions have brought cars there for one problem, and drove away with bigger more expensive problems. Most recently i brought it there for a check engine light, a gas cap was replaced. 6 hours later had no transmission and was leaking coolant. Dispicable business practices. Simply horrible. They refused to honor Tires Plus "lifetime balance" warranty, claiming it was issued by an "independent" tire store that used to be Tires Plus but is no longer one, and they wanted me to pay another for another "lifetime" balance warranty to be covered by "corporate" stores. My Tires Plus invoice from the original store is printed on an actual Tires Plus stock (nothing indicates this was and "independent" store and not a "corporate" one), with the warranty on its back clearly stating "Take your car to ... any other Tires Plus Service Center" under its "Where will the warranties be honored?" section. I used to go here for years and trusted them then my close buddy jimmy left as their main mechanic and that same week they told me I needed $3000 in repairs. I told them not to touch the car and let me take to Toyota who diagnosed the car needed $112 worth of repairs. That let me video the head mechanic showing on video why tires plus' claim that I needed new rack and pinion steering and other major work was a totally lie. I wrote the CEO of tires plus and got some moron owner who called me telling me about the problems he was having w his kids. Totally clueless. I will never go there again. read more

I have 5 cars and have been a customer of this Tires Plus for at least 8 years. This is the latest negative customer experience at this location. July 2014, I brought my Pathfinder in for a tire rotation and alignment. Tires Plus recommended replacement of the break pads and rotors. I opted not to have the pads replaced until i checked my maintenance records and the brakes myself. I feel as though the recommendations are sometimes up sales and wanted to check this one out. At home, I decided to check the wear on the break pads myself. I found that 2 of the lug nuts were cross threaded. I returned the vehicle and they replaced the lug bolts for free. The manager told me this was common on older Nissan Pathfinders and Xterras. I became curious about my other vehicles that I also taken to Tires Plus for service. I found my Honda Accord that was in for service in May had the same problem. Another lug nut was cross threaded and i could not remove the nut. Took this vehicle back to Tires Plus. They repaired it, no charge. After the Pathfinder was repaired, I decided I would replace the brakes myself. Come to find out the same thing. AGAIN, the lug nuts on the Pathfinder are cross threaded. Took the Pathfinder back for the second time, the manager continues to stand behind his story that this is a common problem with Nissans AND Hondas. Surprises me that there is not consideration for a training or procedure problem. I wonder about my son, daughter, or wife having a flat tire and not being able to get the lug nut off. The experience also Makes me leery of other work from this location, especially work that requires precision. The positives, they fixed the lug nuts/bolts at no cost. The negatives, I'm concerned about the quality. The manager did not acknowledge any possible errors or training needs. I will have to check behind their work. I'll probably continue to utilize Tires Plus because of the 5 life time alignments I have purchased. Perhaps I'll try another location. read more

Horrible customer service! I first made online appointment. They had wrong date and called me to say they couldn't do the work. Then they got the right date. I had appointment for two weeks! Today when I got there manager said they had people call in sick and it would be 3 hours. I understand that but when I asked to then get a tomorrow morning appointment he said...no at 7...no at 8...to which I replied that I was taking my business somewhere else...to which he replied"ok." This place is horrible. I came to get new brakes for the brake issues that they said I had then all of a sudden I needed new tires. And they all but called me a liar when I addressed the earlier quote. The customer service is terrible and they apparently have no integrity. I got a second quote and it showed I did not need any of the things Tires Plus claimed I needed and it showed that they have not even rotated my tires which I have been paying them to do. If I could give NO stars I would. I went to Tires Plus YESTERDAY because my check engine light was on. Upon arriving, they tell be that they only have ONE TECHNICIAN working for the entire day and that I would have to wait a bit. I dropped my car off at 12 and didn't pick it up until 6pm. At around 5:30 I get a call saying that they just got to working on my car and that the front end needed to be adjusted and my brakes needed to be flushed. If they looked at their records at all, they would have seen that they JUST fixed my front end last month charging me $400 and they completely replaced my brakes that same day. Proving yet again that they are only in it to get commission and rip their customers off. I declined any work besides an oil change, which at that point they told me my battery was in desperate need of replacing. After a little back and forth I finally agreed, walking out of Tires Plus 6 hours later, $100 poorer, and with my check engine light STILL ON. When I asked about the Check Engine light they said that they couldn't figure out the problem and didn't have time today. They had plenty of time to sell me on what would have been $737.63 in unneeded expenses, but they didn't have time to fix me with my original problem. Today, (keep in mind I went to Tires Plus yesterday) I tried to leave work and my car would not start, after several times of trying to jump my car, I am forced to call a tow truck. Upon the tow companies arrival, I learned that the driver is also a mechanic and you could immediately hear his disgust when I popped the hood. The battery was not only improperly connected, but they connected the battery using CORRODED battery terminals. This poor quality of work is not only unsafe but irresponsible. I was in no rush getting my car back yesterday and if they truly needed more time to do a safe and proper job I would have gladly left my car longer, instead they set me out on the road in an unsafe vehicle. I am absolutely disgusted by this company and will never come back. I hope this review keeps other unsuspecting victims from spending their hard earned money at a company like this. Sean has been my mechanic for 10 years and several different cars. My family goes to him and I have friends who now go to him. I have followed him around as he goes to different stores. I will always go to Sean because I know that he won't give me the run around or add extra things that need to be 'fixed' to my bill. He is the most honest mechanic I have ever met. To be totally transparent I have no idea what maintenance that my car needs or even how to diagnose what could be wrong with it. I am lucky I can figure out how to make sure my tires have enough air (although I had to call Sean for him to tell me what the little light meant). I know that there are a lot of bad reviews for this place but I assure you that Sean does the right thing and all his guys know what they are doing and talking about. I used to hate taking my car in to be fixed but now I can go in with confidence that they will treat me fairly and explain exactly what is going to happen and why. read more
