NEVER going to this location again. I usually go here for all my DMV-related services, and the service is normally wonderful. Today I went with the title to get the lien transferred to my bank's name (I have the title which is signed by the previous owner's bank). The instructions my financial institution gave to me was to take the title to AAA or the DMV, and I'm good to go. The front desk person told me that the previous lien holder needed to sign the title. I told her that the bank already stamped it to release the vehicle. She tells me I can't do anything unless the owner signs it. I understand what she is saying, but her attitude was terrible. She sounded extremely exasperated. She responded with "I'm not giving you anything today because it's not right". And then she just walked away leaving me there. What kind of customer service is this? She could've just said there's nothing she can do except wait for my paperwork to be ready. It's one thing to tell me what the next steps are, but to talk to me in that manner is downright rude. The other lady who was working beside her is super nice. I remember her from last time. Maybe she should take notes from her. This experience has left me with a sour taste and I will probably switch auto insurance providers after this. read more

Became a member of AAA for the first time many years to take advantage of the DMV services they offer to members. They were able to transfer a title and do a vehicle inspection without me having to wait in line. With COVID completely disrupting DMV offices and their services, being able to get the paperwork done, pay the DMV fees (they take credit card no extra charge unlike the DMV), and walk out with new license plates was well worth the membership price. The staff was very friendly and Vanessa was so helpful in assisting me with redoing some of the DMV paperwork I had filled in wrong. read more

I just transferred seven - count 'em, seven - insurance policies over to AAA. My new insurance agent is Mark Jackson, and I highly recommend him to anyone with insurance needs. I had been with my former insurance company for just over 10 years, but in recent years I had gotten the feeling that they were no longer serving my best interests. Despite a clean driving record for over two decades and decreasing number of miles driven, my premiums continued to creep up. That company (Farmers) also kept fudging the estimated number of miles driven without informing me, trying to trick me into paying more than I should. When Farmers said that our estimated annual miles driven for our minivan was going to be 43,800 miles (yes, you read that correctly, forty-three thousand), that was the last straw. The van is 6.5 years old and has fewer than 30,000 miles on it. How does that translate to 43,800 miles a year? The way I saw it, if they can't get basic math straight, then how can they possibly be calculating my premiums correctly? Anyways, I digress. I decide to call Mark Jackson to set up an appointment. He surprised me when I called for the first time, because he actually answered his phone. I had been prepared to leave a message and wait two weeks for a return call. He was with a client at the time, but took my number and promised to call back. Sure enough, within half an hour I was speaking with him and we set up an appointment to meet. I warned him that I had several policies for which I needed quotes, and he asked me to send copies of the various declarations pages from Farmers in advance, so he could load the information into his system and be prepared to efficiently provide the requested numbers. I ended up meeting with him for nearly 2.5 hours, as there were a lot of things to cover, particularly with regard to the homeowners insurance policy. For the auto policies, he adeptly adjusted the different coverage amounts to find the most cost-efficient and logical ways to insure the vehicles. He quoted me a great price on a personal umbrella policy, and got me into a much improved earthquake insurance plan compared to what I had with Geovera. This was a bonus for me - I didn't go into this meeting expecting to address this policy. Throughout the meeting, Mark was patient with my questions and confusion (and there was plenty on my part). When all the dust had settled, I had seven shiny new AAA insurance policies with far superior coverage, a reduction in premiums of nearly $400 a year, and a nifty new Giants stadium blanket. So, I'm happy. I expect to be with AAA for a long time, and I'm extremely pleased to have Mark Jackson as my insurance agent. read more

If you dread going to the DMV for car registration purposes then this is your place. Yes you'll have to have a AAA membership but I would hope everyone does. My registration for renewal came in for me to get my 2011 stickers and I went to AAA right off of Shoreline and El Camino- plenty of parking- one person in line in front of me a little before 9am. Went up to the person- its cash/check made out to DMV and I was out of there. For sure less than 10 minutes. I enjoy the convenience fo sho. read more

Well organized location, with clear easy labels for various points of interest. The DMV services are right in the front. Parking can get tight. DMV service was excellent. I came around 2:00pm on a Wednesday and there was zero line. Was in and out in less than 10 minutes. BIG CAVEAT: DMV services accept only cash, or check, so be prepared for that. read more

Three stars for convenience of DMV services. Been here a few times over the years to get titles paid, registration, basic DMV transactions. For some reason this past visit the receptionists had a lot of misplaced attitude. Will still use the service because it's more convenient wait times but beware the reception team and their desire to sass. read more

Let's face it they're worse than useless. After I called them & waited on the phone & asked every question I could think of they told me, yes you can register you're car here. I came in on Saturday & it's "oh no we don't do that on Saturdays come back on Monday,". Anything else I need to bring with me? Oh, fill out this form. Completely. Ok now it's Monday. I drive back to the AAA again. Wait in line. "Oh no we don't do that here. You have to go to the DMV." Worse than useless because I could have made the DMV appointment days ago. read more

Hi, This is regarding interaction with an employee named Jocelyn. I have been a AAA member for number of years and my membership expired 2 months ago bcz I was out of country for months so I took my GF and her plus membership card to help me with my car registration thinking that she's with me, we live together and it will be much smoother process than going to DMV. Instead of letting me know that i need to have my own card and name associated with AAA membership and i need to go to DMV to do the registration, she does the whole registering process after my gf gives Jocelyn her card. Then I finished my smog test and reactivated my insurance then after few days i talked to an associate who helped me out with it and he told me I would have to come the following week to pick up my sticker and all the paperworks looks good cause my insurance was not effective till the next monday, when I go back to get the sticker she is being rude and telling me that she messed the process up and she's already got in trouble for this before and she loves her job etc and she wont go further with this process and wont give me my sticker, I would have to do the whole thing again with DMV and by this time I have not gotten to use my car for almost a month, I ask to talk to the manager and luckily she was next booth from her and the manager said to let this slide this time cause the process has already gotten too far, but she is still having attitude and informs me that they need to make sure with the insurance suspension line so I leave to come back the day after to finally pick up my sticker, when I came back again after going back and forth to this location 4 times the associate tells me that they tried calling the dmv and it said that VIN doesn't match the car insurance, so I pulled up my insurance and told him to call DMV again cause the information I have given are all accurate so he called, while he is calling I asked who called this morning and got the news that the VIN is inaccurate, he told me it was Jocelyn, I replied that totally makes sense . After on hold for 20 mins he was told by DMV that the information is correct and that I am all good on the system, then Jocelyn hands him the sticker then to me. She is not a trained at all when you cant even match the name or has any kind of good customer service when all she had to do was to look at my gfs card and my registration name and inform me that either I would need to renew my AAA account or go to DMV this whole mess and a month of my time going back and forth would have been saved. I would not have even written this if she was nice about it and told me nicely that she fck ed up, we all do but her attitude was absolutely disgusting and would never want to deal with that location again. Came to get an international driving permit to do Mario Kart in Japan. Had a very pleasant and timely visit - we were in and out in 15 minutes. We didn't realize we needed to take passport style photos but they were provided to us, complementary. (We definitely were not passport ready.... more like mugshot ready.) We were helped by two ladies, one named Connie, who were bubbly, kind, and joked around with us. Surprisingly pleasant visit. Would be happy to come again for any random AAA needs. read more

Got royally taken advantage of by AAA Northen California. Have a membership in SoCal and by mistake had an old card #. Needed roadside assistance and they said membership was canceled/invalid. They said membership had to be reactivated and was charged $165 when a membership costs $56!!! They said when you have the correct membership #, we will send back the money. Have submitted reimbursement form and it was rejected. Have spent hours and numerous transfers between departments and have gotten nowhere. These people are crooks!!! read more

So, my axel broke on Friday around 730p and I called AAA call center. The rep was fabulous and a tow truck arrived within 15mins, but I had gone home to get my 2nd car. Called AAA back, 2nd rep was as fabulous as the 1st and my truck arrived within 15mins. Got my car fixed but something else messed up while I was on the Bay Bridge so I called AAA again. Caltrans arrived within 15mins, meanwhile ALL AAA reps kept me in the loop on arrival and were supportive. My Caltrans driver was excellent and put a bandaid on my issue until I could get off the bridge safely. I made if off, call AAA back and tow truck arrived in about 25mins. This driver was awesome and drove my kids and I safely..I really appreciated that. Too many names to mention and I forgot them, but I just have to say that EVERYONE made this issue so much better. read more

I came here on a Saturday morning, a few minutes before opening. The parking lot is small, so coming during the weekdays can be a challenge looking for parking. Excellent experience today getting my international drivers permit. I arrived around 5pm on a Thursday, and there was no line. Mary gave me a friendly greeting and got to work! I didn't have the required photos, so Mary took those for me first, and then very efficiently prepared my new permit. A few days ago, I was planning a family trip and my husband asked me if I've checked out the map for the area that we'll be in. I said, "no". After he asked me that question, I remember my ex-coworker telling me that I can get complimentary state maps and travel guides from AAA (I'm a member). As soon as I went to work the next day, I checked online to see what's the nearest AAA location by my work. This place came up. I drove here last week and the area was under construction so a few lanes were blocked. I ended up making a u-turn somewhere to get back here. As soon as I parked my car, I walked inside. I waited a few minutes before someone acknowledged me. The young man that helped me was very friendly. It was slightly busy (lunch time) but he kept his composure throughout the whole time. As soon as he gave me what I needed, I left. Parking is plentiful. read more

Very disappointed on my agent Christoper Tedder, he did helped me with my renter insurance coverage and that went smooth. Then, I receive a referral promotion email from him and and my mother was also looking for coverage... he helped with that but I never received my $25 gift card still today and its been a couple of months. I also have home security and with having renters insurance I would qualify for a discount, sent him a copy of my cert. and he said he'll submit it and today... nothing! I'm not in need of the $25, but disappointed in him for the service he didn't fully served and faulty lack of attention and response. I thought I found my go too AAA guy but he fooled me. read more

They were misleading on what on could do there. I had to attempt to go there a few times and was turned away because they were either understaffed or they stopped certain services past a certain hour. In the end they couldn't do my out-of-state vehicle registration "because it won't allow them to go to the next page", and was told to just go to the DMV. read more

Just do yourself a favor, quit shopping around and go see Rosa. She is the best representative there. She listened to my issues with another provider, laid down everything and made it super simple for me to understand. She was quick, efficient and effective yet caring and understanding. read more

This comment is not about this specific office, but AAA Auto Insurance NorCal in general. They constantly, repeatedly, annually, frequently screw up all kinds of documentation related to our insurance. first and last names, vehicles, who drives what, who is named insured and who isn't, policy quotes, updates. One would think that after being with them for 10 years, they would get it right after continuous fixes to the information, but no. Of course more than 70% of CSRs are also not sufficiently trained on the tools for any challenging questions. For an insurance organization this size that is terrible. The only reason we're still with them is that the rates are lowest for liability policy. read more

One of the things you need in life is insurance. Whether for home, or car, you need to have it covered! I've been with AAA for over 30 years and whenever I go to compare, and possibly switch, the other companies just don't stand up. Insurance is boring to talk about but the level of service you get for the price is quite simply the best. If you combine coverage the deals are really good. The towing service is amazing! One 200 mile tow and three 100 mile tows for $100! (Plus locksmith services and fuel delivery) I'm a fan.....Thanks AAA! read more
