I am sending this positive review because of the outstanding customer service that I recieved from Jeff Furtado, A3 Smart Home Technician. Since I was having the alarm panel replaced the first thing Jeff asked me was where it was plugged in. I was never shown or told after the original installation where any of the device A/C adapters were plugged in at. Jeff went on a search for them. I was shocked that he found the plug up in the attic. Jeff was very thorough, courteous and patient in answering my questions and as he explained the new app features. Absolutely terrible service. Had a service ticket to fix 2 cameras that weren't working as well as a garage door opener interface. The guy that came had no clue what he was doing, what the problem was, or how to fix it. Then they billed me $351.00 for doing nothing. This service definitely works well, but we wary of the total cost of ownership. For a service that is intended to be permanent, they do not stand behind the hardware for very long...one year only. Then you will be nickel and dimed to death anytime there is a problem with THEIR system! Labor charge here, labor charge there....Isn't it THEIR responsibility to make sure their stuff works beyond a year? $125 and hour is pretty steep for something that customers shouldn't have to pay for. So, the $34.99 per month is misleading because you start paying for maintenance the second year, and it never stops. They should raise their price and support their system, then people can make good choices. read more

I spoke to Ty R. customer service from Tempe, AZ. Ty did an outstanding job of providing pricing for a new project with outside cameras etc. I was really happy to speak with Ty who gave me excellent information. I think AAA is a great organization and I have been a customer with their road service for many decades. The above is the good part. I have a serious concern after reading through the YELP ratings. The majority are 5 star ratings, but the 1 star ratings are enough to knock the overall rating to a level that is not acceptable to me. I would love to know what percentage of the 5 star ratings are actually valid indeed. WORST company EVER! A 'tech' came out a week ago to upgrade our radio - then on Sat and Sun received noticed the signal was not going through. The idiot came back out today and spent hours here only to leave with a system completely broken. My doors and windows have no chime/alarm when opening!!! I don't even know if any of the security works but with this piece not working I am sure none of it is. DO NOT USE AAA - they are clueless. Beware of false quotes from this company. I was asked if I wanted to upgrade my system and lower my monthly monitoring charges by around $20 per month. Instead I got some cock and bull story about a new rate which is about $10 more per month than I was quoted. I wasn't aware of this rate increase until after the installation was complete. In fact with all the additional equipment they sold me I am now paying $34 per month more than I was before this marvelous upgrade. Not worth it. Just an addition to my original review. It will be interesting to see if Ashley actually follows up. I have been a Safeguard customer for probably 20+ years. Well Ashley and another person from AAA actually followed up but unfortunately could not help. So far I have advised 2 friends who were also looking to update their security systems to look elsewhere. They both went to ADT. read more

We had a hardware problem with our alarm system. We were without monitoring for a month. AAA said that they would waive all of the costs. Then I get a bill two months later with charges that were supposed to be waived . They were fine when it was Safeguard. UPDATE: Thanks to Robin for contacting me about this review, listening to my side of the story, reviewing the company contact files and then providing an adjustment to the bill. Robin contacted me after these steps were taken and validated my complaint and informed me of the resolution. Thanks Robin! While away for the weekend, my AAA Smarthome security system was armed and my house was broken into. They broke my glass slider in the master bedroom where I had a glass break sensor mounted on the ceiling. The sensor clearly failed as the alarm never activated. I called AAA Smarthome as soon as they opened and explained what happened and wanted an answer as to why the detector failed. Was told they'd get back to me in 15mins. No call back. Called again the following day. They were in a meeting and would call back after meeting. That was 2 days ago. I've since cancelled my service and will be switching companies. This situation was awful for so many reasons. If they simply returned my call, figured out where the problem was, maybe they could keep me as a customer. Lack of a callback in this type of situation is completely unacceptable. DO NOT USE AAA SMARTHOME. read more

After the installation, he walked me through the system, both in home and online, and answered more questions to make sure I was comfortable. Evem when I had a small user issue. So glad I pay for an alarm that often goes offline. After speaking to a tech I am told that the system needs to be upgraded before it will work again. So basically they want more money. I had major trouble with this company when I signed up 2 years ago. They promised me that they fixed the situation and I was happy. Now here I am 2 years later and many phone calls trying to get it to keep working and I still have a doorbell that will not work due to Arizona heat. I really wish someone would have told me the doorbell would never work! I would have spent my hard earned money elsewhere. This is the 2nd one they've installed and it won't work and when I call it is always about an hour call for someone to tell me how to fix it. Now it involves shutting off my power for a couple minutes. This is Arizona and that is not happening! I ask for a supervisor and there is never one to take my call! This company is the worst! I've had a lot of security systems in the past but AAA Smart home is by far my favorite. It's user friendly, tech savy, dependable, secure and extremely affordable. But what really makes it the best is the service, my install tech especially Derek Covell is by far the best him and his crew. My original install took some extra special care because of some electrical concerns and rather than Derek being frustrated with the extra time it would take he did everything he needed to do to make sure that I got everything I needed which ultimately included a few trips but he made sure that I was 100% satisfied with not just the awesome product but with the service. He went above and beyond for my household and I couldn't be happier, I can manage the security of my home anywhere, definitely a great product and incredible service from Derek! read more

From the moment we entered the AAA office in Roseville where we were introduced to Shobie we experienced nothing but professional expertise. Shobie explained , the system and then called to tell us of a special sale. Within a week, we had Anthony and Jason who worked hard during this historic heat wave. He informed me upfront how much time it would take for the installation and went over my order before starting the install to avoid complications later. If i'm being honest, AAA was not my first choice but with their thanksgiving specials, I got a kick ass deal and went for it. So far so good and my only call out is the voice command is too fast. Absolutely terrible home security company. Lock you into a lengthy contract and then when your service is lacking they charge you for repairs and replacements. Spoke to one person about replacing sensors that she assured would be mailed for self replacement at no cost. 4 months later they never arrived. Now someone else I spoke to is saying I have to pay $150 for the sensors that I was previously told were free. Additionally, they said to have them installed there is an additional fee. Smoke detector hasn't worked since we've had it. Get your home security elsewhere! read more
