I've driven by their business for over the past years and I was completely impressed by how well they kept the grounds cleaned at all times, so I decided to have our oil changed on our vehicles. Everything went smoothly at first until it came time to pay my bill. I went in for your typical preventive maintenance and the bill came out to be $265. I was about to pay but decided to ask for an itemized receipt before doing so to keep as a record. All of a sudden it's taking them 15 minutes to print it out and then miraculously my bill became $210. Make sure to ask for your receipts before paying if you choose to go here. read more

If you guys want a real life review from an honest person, here it is. This review is dated on Nov 20th 2020. I got my car serviced at pit pros for some preventive care literally 2 weeks ago.I had just gotten enough money to start fixing up my BMW again (COVID impact) and so I took it to pit pros because they seemed like a honest mom&pop kind of auto shop. First off, I'm new to the area and the owners wife seemed to instill some curious fascination with the fact that I'm out of state, and when I made a light joke about the fact that "maybe it's these TX roads that messed my car up." She immediately got so offended and stormed off?!? Why IDK Lastly....they completely messed up my car. I'm not going to get into details because they did a lot of work on my 2013 BMW, but the main point I'm going leave you all with here is that they said they did my brake service... charged me $600 for it.. and now I'm sitting here writing this review for them, from another auto shop because this shop just told me the brakes weren't even TOUCHED. And I was driving with basically 0 front brakes and 5% rear brakes... on a sports car that needs all the brake power you can get....only reason I knew this and took it to a new shop?? Not even after 1 week from getting my car serviced for brakes at pit pros... my brake service light went off again. So I'll leave you all with that. Went to Pit Pros for engine repair 2 months ago (4/8/22), after having a similar repair done by this same shop in 2019. The same parts have failed again already (3rd time). After 4 calls, they are going to "see what they can do to get the ball rolling" on looking at warranty and replacement. They don't stand by their work, and now I'm paying to have the EXACT same parts and labor redone at another shop. New shop confirmed they installed mismatched parts, including parts without a brand name or part number on them (see picture). Do not go to this business for engine repair. Either faulty work or an active scam. Better Business Bureau complaint has been filed. read more

I go here every year to get my car registration inspection done - highly recommend to anyone in the area! If you go when they open or during less peak times, they can have it done within 30 minutes. Do NOT bring your vehicle here! Where do I start? Last time I came to Pit Pros, I received excellent service, or so I thought. About 2-3 weeks after my last visit, my horn stopped working, which I had just had repaired at Pit Pros. I spoke to one of the mechanics, advised him that my horn had stopped working. He placed the vehicle on a lift, came back inside, and said it wasn't working because I had wrecked it. I assured the guy, I had not wrecked my vehicle. He accused me of lying! I assured him, that if I had wrecked the vehicle, which I had not, I would have remembered it! I was flabbergasted! Such horrible service. The repair they originally did to fix my horn, only worked for about 2-3 weeks, and instead of admitting that it was not fixed correctly the first time, I was accused of wrecking my car! Needless to say, I will never give this place my business again. read more

As far as auto services go, I'm not a fan in the first place... In fact, I always feel like I'm being scammed, and they usually try to sell me on something that I don't need/want, and provide services that I never asked for. UGH! This is definitely not the case at Pit Pros! The staff is uber-helpful, they don't try to upsell me on things, but they DO make me aware of other issues (my car sucks), and tell me HOW they could fix them if I wanted them to. No pressure. They just give knowledge, and make sure my car is well taken care of. An oil change takes less than 20 minutes in and out, and all fairly reasonable prices as well. They have a lobby with A/C (always a plus in summer), a tv, and a keurig. Anywho... I've taken my car other places, and was really blown away by the customer service at this location. From the desk staff to the maintenance men, everyone was pleasant, seemed genuine, and they didn't try to scam me! I recommend it if you're looking for quick and easy service. read more

In Thursday May 19, 2022 I took my car in to get the AC fixed, Friday May 20, 2022 12:55 in the middle of the night this woman stole my car from out pros due to these "experienced professionals" absolute stupidity- i have a 19 month old baby and am a single mother and spoke with robert explaining if they wouldn't be able to fix it that day would i be able to pick up the car because normally you leave the vehicle with them to work on for time efficiency- he explained that it was indeed an option for me to get the car he was friendly and helpful and i explained that i may or may not be able to get a ride with my daughter over there but i have a spare key so they can keep the key in their facility and i could go get the car after hours if i needed to- i ended up not being able to make it my ride had somewhere to be but i was sent a text saying they will close and lock my car and i trusted the car would be safe like at any other auto place- yes there's always a risk of a break in but i never thought "professionals" would admittantly tell me- sounding so obvlious and uneducated on the fact that they said THEY PURPOSEFULLY LEFT A PRESS START KEY IN A PRESS START VEHICLE AND "LOCKED IT"- anyone knows that a press start vehicle will quite literally NOT LET YOU LOCK THE KEY IN- it will UNLOCK and beep multiple times to inform the driver they left the key in the car.... DONT BRING YOUR CAR HERE THEY TOLD ME ROBERT IS THE ONE WHO DID THIS AND THEY BASICALLY HANDED MY CAR OUT TO ANYONE WHO CAME UP TO THE VEHICLE AND THATS WHAT HAPPENED AND THEY HAD NO COMPASSION THEY DIDNT APOLOGIZE AND THEY HAVE NO PLANS ON TERMINATING ANYONE INVOLVED AND ARE NOT ACCEPTING RESPONSIBILITY even thought they quite literally stupidly and obliviously left a press start key in the vehicle....my car has already been gutted by the culprit and i have not been able to recover the vehicle but i have tracked down the parts....thanks pit pros and no thanks to the blonde ladies upfront or robert- 0 stars read more

Don't take your car here. A few years ago, I swore I would never bring my car to this place again - I can't remember why...but, I know that I broke that promise to myself and there will be consequences... So, my wife's car's check engine light comes on Friday, 8/13/2021. On Saturday, 8/14/2021 we take the car to Pit Pros where they charge us $100 to do the diagnostic - but, that is 'ok' because that charge will go toward the repair if we decide to fix the car at Pit Pros. So far, so good. Diagnose the car, please. A few hours later, we get a text message with an explanation of the problem, an estimate of the work - $467 - and a request to approve the estimate. Sounds reasonable - 'approve.' Wait! What just happened? The approval confirmation is showing $583! WTF? Call the shop and ask... Ohhhh. Ok. The $100 for the diagnostic won't be put toward the cost of the repair, it will be returned. Don't worry about the $583 amount that will actually be only $483. What? Wait. I thought it was going to be $467. Ah. We see, yep, of course. There is a $16 service charge (are you kidding me? A service charge for what? They are servicing my car and charging a service charge to do it?) Ok. Whatever. $483. Fine. Fix the car. Monday, 8/16/2021, my wife clicks the link in the text message to see if there is an update on her car. WHAT? THE ESTIMATE IS NOW $785!!! SERIOUSLY, WTF. Call the shop and ask. Oh. That is wrong. Ignore the $785. But...yeah...THERE IS AN EXTRA $67 charge - which neither my wife or I ever approved - because they found some other part needed to be replaced and they just went ahead and assumed that we could, and would pay for that work! - Do you think they even did any extra work? I am just basing that question on some of these other reviews - looking at you 'BMW tire rotation' guy! ;-) (and, now, of course, after reading the reviews, my wife is worried that they didn't actually fix her car! (Yay!!!)) So, where are we? How much is this going to cost. Sorry, I get lost! Right. Ok, so, $483 + the unauthorized $67 of work = $550 (oddly round sum) - whatever... We go to pick up the car and, imagine our surprise, my wife is 'only charged' $501 because she was generously given the 'new customer discount'! WOW! And... ...it all comes rushing back to me. I got the 'new customer discount' all three times I took my car to this scam shop after telling them that I wasn't going to pay for work that I didn't authorize them to do or didn't need or thought was overpriced!!! That is why I swore I would never bring my car to Pit Pros again. Lies and prevarications. You never get a straight answer! I know that they rip off as many people as they can by playing these stupid numbers games. Do yourself a favor, take your car to any place else. It probably won't even be, meaningfully, more expensive unless you are going to the dealer. The service is fantastic! I first took my car to the Jeep metroplex and they gave me a list of " urgent " things I needed to fix with a huge price tag, so I called Pit Pros to compare prices and they were very helpful. Not only were they patient in helping me compare prices over the phone but they also offered to check my car free of charge just to verify whether these issues where actually " urgent" or not. I went there the next day and they let me know that nothing was actually urgent but instead was just regular wear and tear, so they literally saved me thousands of dollars by being honest and trustworthy. They could've told me I needed to get things fixed to get my money but instead they were honest with me and said my car was fine, and I could not be more thankful. This people are thieves, not only did they charge me twice within 2 weeks for the same parts that were under warranty but also got the bedliner from my truck switched for an older one full of holes. After reading the numerous reviews, I decided to use Pit Pros for a timing belt replacement. I spoke with the same representative on 3 separate occasions to discuss pricing details. I provided her with my vehicle information on 3 separate occasions. I was quoted $875-$1000, with the latter amount being on the " higher end. " I dropped my vehicle off and the first red flag for me should have been when they did not verify any of the vehicle stats or Vin number while present in the shop. The representative took my keys and again reiterated that "$1000 would be on the higher end. " I deciphered from this statement that my repair would not cost over $1000. Fast forward to 1.5 hours later, and I received a call from the representative. She informed me that due to THEIR error my quoted price was incorrect. The correct amount was actually $1725.79, which was about $150.00 more expensive than the dealership. She then informed me that, " they did not know that they had to disconnect a part of the AC to do the job correctly and she accidentally entered the incorrect engine size. " All of my concerns were confirmed with that one statement and I hastily returned to pick up my car. To their credit, they did attempt to rectify the situation. The owner graciously agreed to complete the job for $1375.00. Thanks but, no thanks. The entire experience was a complete waste of time. read more

2010 Lexus RX350. High mileage but still in good shape. Noticed engine temps acting erratically. Had it diagnosed by a mobile repair guy and received his quote. Decided to check on other shops and PitPro's was the only place that responded and acted like they cared. Took it to them and had several items repaired all at way less cost than the mobile guy for just one of the repairs. The communication between us was impeccable and I really appreciated that! Pit Pros has been fine for the past years for state inspection, but my most recent experience calls for this review. In short: competence = 3 stars; attitude = 2 stars; cost = 1 star. The long story about my Toyota Corolla (purchased new 2007, mileage only 20K): Sunday - I noticed clicking sounds in the left front wheel area, one click per half turn of the wheel. Goes away when I press on the gas pedal. Monday - PitPros presented me with this: Lower control arms to be replaced: $284.62 Labor on control arms: $350 ("because it'll take 3.5 hours") Wheel alignment: $89 ("because that's extra labor necessary after control arm installment") Total: $740 incl. taxes "Wow that's pretty expensive - I'm a poor student. Are you sure the control arms are the problem?" "90% sure" was the curt response. Call me lazy - I didn't question the labor cost or seek a second opinion. As long as they get the job done I thought. Less than 3 hours later, the car was ready. Mind you, this also included lunch time, so the 3.5 hrs labor claim seemed sketchy. I paid the full price nevertheless, thanking them for being open on Memorial Day. "Well, hopefully we can go home soon," Patricia said grumpily. There was no information about my car, whether the problem was indeed confirmed to be fixed, and what the warranty period was for the service. I felt like I was prolonging her workday by asking. To my disappointment, the click persisted. I called the next morning, explaining that I'd like to get a second opinion before returning to their shop. "Can you hear yourself speak? Why do you make this more complicated than it is? Why don't you just bring it in to us again?" I obliged, because I hate confrontations. 10 minutes later, the mechanic returned with my car, click-free. He said one of the bolts was loose so he tightened that. He claimed the control arm bushings were indeed broken and needed the replacement. However, he had thrown away the broken parts yesterday so could not show me. Whether the loose bolt was the initial cause of the click, or simply evidence of the shoddy job done, I will never know. read more

I didn't realize it, but my inspection was out of date, and they were able to inspect the car and give it an oil change in a reasonable amount of time. I'm changing this to a two star just because of 1) the tactful response that the owner had placed here 2) the hope that things may change there because Yelp reviews can be deadly for a business. Things that I hope will change are honesty and cost. First, cost so you won't be charging twice the amount as the guy down the street BUT word of mouth and repeat business is contagious. Charge a fair price! Second, honesty because people do not like to be manipulated or lied to. Pit Pros is awesome. Hands down the best mechanic I've even been to, and the only one that has earned my loyalty. I've been to them three times before in the past 4 years, twice for my manual transmission, and again with my sister's car. Each time they were fast, fair (I was dreading the estimate for my transmission, instead it was a very reasonable $200 cable replacement), and easy. They even provided me with a loaner car, which, while run down, definitely took care of me while my car was in the shop. It's a family business, and the owner is very friendly. To top it all off, my door latch got stuck today and I couldn't close my door. I spent a good 30 minutes trying to pry it open, and then resigned myself to what was likely going to be an expensive dismantling of my door, thinking it was broken.
