Had to call Roadside Assistance to jump it so I could get to O'Reilly's Auto Parts for a new battery before they closed. They said it was the alternator not the battery. Contacted DFW Mobile Repair and Hamm responded immediately with a price quote to fix it. Set up the appointment for mid-afternoon the next day, July 5th (Sunday, on a holiday weekend). Hamm was certainly knowledgeable, and after testing, said it was BOTH the battery and alternator. He replaced the alternator (which he had brought, having had my prior information as to car and model) and then drove to O'Reilly's nearby for a replacement battery which he then installed. In short, Hamm was responsive, capable, courteous and efficient. DFW saved the day (although I lost most of the holiday weekend with the problem!). Pricing wasn't cheap but was competitive I'd say. Give DFW a shot. Their customer service and mechanical work was outstanding. They also have a shop in addition to their mobile repair service. I will certainly consider them for all my future work! They were able to get me in right away and were able to perform the work quickly, while also giving my car a thorough inspection, including pictures. The price was lower that I usually pay at the dealership. The staff was very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable. I took it to BB and couldn't believe what I was quoted. They did the repair for half the cost and it took less time than they estimated. After that experience I was sold. They forgot to apply the AAA discount so comped an oil change. My last visit was to replace a shield on the undercarriage. Because it was a quick fix, they didn't charge me for the labor. I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the service BB provides. And while it may look like it, I've been assured that having a beard is not required to work there.

They quickly responded to my inquiry and got me scheduled to come in. The team did their own diagnosis of the car and instead of just agreeing with Mazda, they said they didn't even believe the $2k repair was even necessary at that time. They found a couple additional small items that they recommended I fix, but were never pushy or trying to sell me on anything. From the time I reached out and throughout the process the team communicated well. They handled all the other recommended repairs same day for significantly less than the dealership wanted to charge. These guys are honest and well priced and I highly recommend them for any car work you need done.
