I had something checked out and it was diagnosed as the center driveshaft support was the issue. They stated that the whole driveshaft needed to be replaced and that it was not that much labor but the driveshaft was so expensive. They quoted 2700 dollars for this. by the way a high quality driveshaft is approx 700 dollars. that is 2000 for labor??!!. Then they stated that the back brakes and rotors needed to be replaced for another 500 bucks. Went to another mechanic that we know and they were right that the center support was the issue but the driveshaft was just fine. Replacement order for 300 bucks (high end quality) and 100 buck to put it in. very simple. The rotors were just fine and he replaced all brake pads front and back for 200 bucks. Total 600 dollars instead of the quoted 3200. They tried to rip me off by lying. Not the first time but could not proof it last time. Will NEVER go here again. They put incorrect information in the DMV Inspection form and when I pointed out the error, they would not correct it. DMV will not accept the inspection report and I will have to go somewhere else to get an acceptable state inspection. They put the wrong ID # and used someone else's address with my name. My wife took her car in for an oil change ($79.99) and was presented a quote for $877.33 that included the replacement of the air filter ($39.99), the cabin air filter ($49.99), Automatic Transmission Service (219.99), Platinum Fuel Service ($199.99) and a new battery ($199.99). She declined to have anything other than the oil changed. Over the weekend, I checked the two filters and they were both clean, pulled the oil dip stick and it was only half full, Mazda does not recommend the transmission and the fuel service ever, and it doesn't appear that the battery was tested and still functions well. Be an educated consumer and don't get scammed by shady service techs looking to pad a bill. read more

Let me start by saying I have been to this store nearly 7 times before and had no problems whatsoever. Not sure what has happened. Last week I took my mother's care in to get serviced. She has a 2015 Honda CRV that has 34,000 miles. I had a coupon that gets you an iol change, tire rotation and car inspection for $69.99. I left the car and gave them my number to call me when the car was ready. At 5:45pm my mother called and said her car was ready. She said they called her (not me) and that the car needed a few additional sevices. We to the the store, which closed at 6:00pm. The key were under the mat along with the invoice for $1,045.36! In addition to changing the oil, they replaced the cabin air filter($49.99), EVAP cleaning service($119.00), changed the transmission fluid($219.00), platinum fuel service ($199.99) brake system fluid replacement ($129.99), Engine cooling system replacement($169.99), I see that another customer has written a complaint regarding the same type of service on 05/28/2024. This is the worst travel agent experience I have ever been involved with. If you are planning a trip this is not the agency that will disclose all details even if you ask really good questions. I booked a European trip in 2020 and it was delayed due to covid and the options did not offer a refund without a substantial financial penalty only a travel credit and that was with a penalty as well. None of this was disclosed by the agency prior to booking which I think is terrible business practice boarding on dishonesty. WOW WOW WOW! These guys are awesome! I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I had the worst experience with Service Dept. of Parkway Hyundai. After bringing my car in they replaced the transmission, which only made the problem worse. 4 other trips and they settled on there is nothing wrong that's just how the car drives. Even though my car was under warranty they were not able to fix my car. The refused to admit anything was wrong. I was left hanging and frustrated. I even took my car to another dealership in Charlotte they basically said the same thing. I had no one to help. I didn't know what to do, so I prayed. My prayers were answered when Michele the Manager of AAA on Military Cut Off read my post on Nextdoor and took it upon herself to schedule a consult with me. She had her mechanic take a look, run a diagnostic test, do a test drive and with in 2 hours my car was fixed. WHAT???? How can this be? but it's true! My car was under warranty with Parkway and they refused to fix it. AAA owed me nothing, yet they fixed my car and with tears in my eyes I'm here to say they didn't charge me one penny! Do not take your car here for anything. I just moved here and noticed some oil leaking from my car after an oil change at AAA. I took it back a week later and asked for an inspection. I was given a $1,300 quote and list of items I needed to replace. I decided it was best to get a second opinion and after going to two more auto shops there is absolutely nothing broken or wrong with my car. Turns out the oil filter was not sealed correctly. I've been a AAA member my whole life. They have always been good to me, until today. I got my car inspected and they completely lied to me about the window tint reader. They said my tint has double the limit, yet I've never done anything to my tint and my car has passed inspection for the 5 years I've had it until today! To start, you can always get a Second Opinion from another Auto Repair Company. AAA Mechanics are professional mechanics. You can even have one on one conversations with your mechanic. You can even ask him to show you the problem at hand. The Front Associates are friendly and informative. Beware of the Upsell Practice of AAA Policy. The Employees are only following company policy which is to sell you as much as they can. Just deny the extras services available but not needed. I have a Remedy to this practice. When you take your automobile there to be analyzed wait for them to come out with the quote for repairing your automobile. Now you have to be patient - No Matter What. Get a copy of the Estimate from AAA that has all the pricing including hours and parts. Just say thank you and then leave. Now...take the AAA Estimates especially the parts and go to NAPA.COM or shop.advanceautoparts.com/ or Autozone.com. Now type in the part item and find the price. Most likely AAA will take the price and you will find its usually doubled or tripled. If its quadrupled you know AAA is over pricing you. Now you can go back and inform them how much they are overcharging you and then you have leverage because you can report them to the BBB or AAA Headquarters. They know it too. Now they will work to get you the lowest price available with Coupons, Member Discounts Etc. All of the sudden they are no longer thinking about up selling but now to keep you from creating a headache for them. Never let AAA Up Sell you to buy services or other items that presently is not the problem. AAA employees will understand your position and from that point will realize you mean business. Its usually the Manager that will come to the understanding that he doesn't want to loose you as a AAA Member Customer or be reported to the BBB or AAA Headquarters. Becoming an AAA Member works as an asset for you because there are always discount coupons for automobile repairs. So far AAA Discount Coupon have outweighed all other Automotive Companies. If you can follow this recommendation your costs will be justified. There are other auto companies that are far worst like dealerships. I brought two of my cars in for routine oil changes and annual state inspections. While most service centers will make recommendations on other services, I felt they were too aggressive in looking for problems with my cars, and trying to push service I didn't need. Many people will listen to their recommendations out of fear and purchase their services. Additionally, my car failed inspection over a belt I felt had nothing to do with the state statutes on safety. I was stuck spending $150 to get my car to pass. I can't recommend this location because I think the profit motive results in their pushing for unnecessary services. read more

The check engine light came on and we sent her to AAA thinking they would be able to asses the problem (and hopefully correct it). After several hours, they did determine the problem and told her she would be fine to drive the car home (3+hours). She didn't make it 2 blocks before the car died. Luckily she was able to pull into a business parking lot & not on the highway. We had it towed to the dealership. I would NEVER use this business again. I'm not even that upset that they didn't fix the car, but more so that they ASSURED her that the car was fine to drive. (We also talked to the "mechanic" over the phone and were told the same). Great service! Love that there are so many women there! I trust them implicitly with my vehicle's needs. They always go above and beyond to work around my schedule and during the week, offer a shuttle service if I can't find anyone to pick me up after dropping my car there. If you're car has under 100k miles, I would really suggest looking into their AAA warranty program that automatically comes with each maintenance service you get on your car. It covers a bunch of components that aren't included in other warranty contracts. It has actually paid off! They have a clean and comfy waiting room that is kid friendly. I bring my laptop and get some work done (at one of their desks that has a place for me to plug in) while I wait. Also this location also has a travel and insurance center there, too! read more

Had a car that would not start right after Hurricane Florence. Had it towed to the AAA Car Center (most places were closed, they were open). Guy tells me Monday before they can look at it. Mechanic calls Monday asking for details and he figures out what's wrong - a squirrel took refuge in the engine bay and ate about 8 inches of the wiring harness Wow!! Crazy. It takes a day to figure out the part costs and he calls with the estimate. I tell him yes go ahead and do it. Amazingly insurance covers (at least a part) of this. As I'm trading calls back and forth between the insurance company and AAA Car Center, I'm assured that the part has been ordered and as soon as they get the insurance OK, they will get started on the car. Insurance approved on Thursday and on Saturday when I stop by to see if it's done, they hadn't ordered the part and it'll be in sometime next week. I was out and out lied to. I had the left wheel bearing fixed a few weeks ago. Was having some issues with my car and took it to another shop. They said it was the left wheel bearing I just had replaced at AAA and suggested I take it back there. Plus it is starting to pull on the right wheel bearing now. :( Not happy. Been getting my Honda serviced here for a few months now. Oil changes, transmission service, coolant flushes etc. The service is good but slow. Usually takes an hour or more for an oil change. I found it helps to schedule service in advance. That allows them to get it done quicker. Wish oil changes were faster. Mark Lemmon is helpful and knowledgeable. He worked me up a quote on a new set of Michelins that was within $7 a tire of Wal-Mart's price. Decided to buy from AAA because I know the staff and figure the service will be less painful than going through Wal-Mart. Rotations are free for the life of the tires too. read more

The staff are friendly, they have a shuttle, and they get the job done relatively quickly. I don't have a problem with the service. However, parts prices are wildly inflated. They charged me $45 per spark plug when I had them changed, and this doesn't include labor. The most expensive plug I could find for my car online was $14 at Autozone. They also charged me $245 for an ignition coil I could have purchased for $60 (again most expensive one I could find). Also, watch out for their recommendations for service. They recommended essentially every fluid in my car be changed (brake fluid, coolant, transmission fluid) and also recommended fuel service, air filter, cabin air filter, new spark plugs. When I looked at my user's manual none of these things were due and when I changed the air filter myself it was totally clean. The intervals they suggest on service are much more frequent than what is recommended by the user manual for my car. read more

DON'T GO HERE! They will RIP you off! I had my Ford 150 truck inspected for the state inspection at the AAA military cutoff location. I was told I FAILED for several reasons. (which are not part of the safety inspection) Failed according to AAA Due to front two ball joints are in bad shape, loose, and have to be replaced, front axle boot bad needs to be replace, steering pressure hose bad and needs to be replaced. Front axle boot in bad shape and need to be replaced Pressure hose on steering bad and has to be replaced. Ball Joints Two need to be replaced $900.00 I told them I would think about it, I brought the truck to FORD for the inspection and PASSED, they told nothing wrong with ball joints- nice and tight no need to replace, nothing wrong with pressure hose no need to replace. I asked for another person to inspect and they had the manager call me back and told me nothing wrong with ball joints or hose and the axle Boot has a small cut and is leaking Greece and will need to be repaired and replaced soon but will not affect inspection, $200.00 not $900.00. Next day called AAA and asked to speak with the manager and was given a women second in charge, when I told her what happened she yelled at me and said "well that is their opinion so now you have two perhaps we should call the state police and have them inspect your truck''', I hung up on her and told her you will never have my business again. The next day I brought my Sonata to Hyundai for an inspection and one of AAA x employees was at the service center, she told me she quit AAA because they told her she was not selling enough and had to get better at up selling the customers she had a real problem with that and quit along with one of the mechanics . I brought my new car in for its first time oil change and learned it required a synthetic oil change which was quite a bit more than the $19.95 I expected to pay with the coupon I brought in. I questioned the need to charge me $25 for labor along with 5 qts. of oil when I only required 3.8 qts. The lost leader oil change had no such charge but I was soaked as far as I am concerned. I spoke to the manager about it and have not heard about the possibly of receiving a possible refund. She did offer to give me a quart of the oil but mentioned they offered top off service. It has been nearly a week since I called but the manager never called me back to let me know if she was able to adjust the price accordingly. I have been a loyal AAA member since 1964. I have never been so disgusted with a business as I am now with AAA on Military Cutoff. I took my car to this location because the AAA on Oleandar was getting terrible reviews. I have been a AAA member for years and until now had trusted what they stood for. I took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. I told the gentleman at the service desk that I had marked each tire as proof that my tires would be rotated. He assured me that this location was "honest" and that I would leave a happy customer. I stressed to him that I was at his location because the AAA on Oleandar had not gotten very good reviews and that I simply needed to find a place I could trust. Again, he assured me I had come to the right place. I waited for 2 hours, 15 min. at which time I was told my car was ready. The same gentleman went over my paperwork and I left there feeling like I had found a place I could trust. Wow, I was disgusted when, upon inspection, saw thst my tires had not been rotated. I was actually shocked. I had stressed my point to this fella that I would know if my tires had been rotated. My receipt said they HAD rotated my tires. Simply put, I was lied to. When I told the guy my tires had not been touched he told me he had told the mechanics to rotate my tires but he had left to run an errand so assumed the job was done. This is crazy. When I asked to speak with manager he told me, " she's probably sitting at her house on her butt with her feet propped up". Totally unprofessional. I left there disgusted, wondering if they had even changed my oil. I am going to pursue this matter further but will no longer honor this AAA. I paid my bill thinking I had gotten what I went in for, something as simple as an oil change, tire rotation. I left there truly disgusted that I had been lied to and wondering why these guys simply cannot do the job they advertise and are paid to do. Here is my story: On Friday, 9/18/15 I dropped my 1998 Toyota 4 Runner for inspection, pretty certain there no issues with this vehicle since I only drive it Approx 1,500 - 2,000 miles per year. I received a phone call from your service manager Chris who explained I failed inspection due to a leaking front strut assembly and parking brake not holding. He said he would do the repairs that afternoon and then I asked for an estimate. Chris quoted me $666.00 for the front strut assembly, $79.95 for and alignment which would be required, and $49.95 to clean & adjust rear drum brakes which would fix my parking brake holding. He also informed me I would get 10% discount. So we are talking about $851.72 with 7% tax subtract 10% = $766.54 to pass inspection. Well Chis - service manager was unaware I have an honest mechanic who I immediately called close to tears for an estimate without telling him what I was quoted. Well Jared, MY HONEST MECHANIC called me back and quoted me $334.00 for COMPLETE FRONT STRUT ASSEMBLY...YES 1/2 PRICE THAN WHAT I WAS QUOTED! I was sickened to know that someone would try to rip me completely off and of course trusted that it was a "AAA" facility. I certainly let Chris know that he was not to do repairs. When I picked up car he still tried to talk me into repair!! SICK! I took my vehicle to MY HONEST MECHANIC ON MONDAY 9/21/15- GUESS WHAT??? THE FRONT STRUTS WERE FINE - NOT LEAKING! UNBELIEVABLE!! but my FRONT BRAKES WERE SHOT! Chris - Service Manager never even mentioned the front brakes. I also learned that your mechanics work off of commission. What a business to pay commission?! I can't imagine how many innocent people your company took advantage of!
