    Fried Chicken Sandwich
    Trish M.

If you're at Malcolm Yards, don't skip Abang Yoli. I had the fried chicken sandwich with their sesame ginger garlic sauce, and it was seriously one of the best I've ever had. The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy, and the flavor of the sauce was unreal--savory, garlicky, just a touch sweet. It all came together so well. The service was friendly and fast, and the sandwich was clearly made with care. I'm already planning to go back and try more of the menu. This place is an absolute win.

Had a team work outing Friday and ended up ordering the chicken sandwich and an order of their fries. I got the habanero sauce on the side instead of saucing the sandwich because I was bringing half home. The sauce was not spicy at all- which was a little disappointing. But the chicken sandwich was fantastic! Super juicy and flavorful with the toppings. I was not a big fan of the fries, not worth the $6 in my opinion. I'd skip those next time for sure.

This chicken sandwich is bomb. Just get this sandwich, you won't regret it. This place has awesome staff that provides quick service that is not compromising the quality of the dish. The ambiance is food hall, but of all the places to try, definitely get this chicken sandwich! Parking at Malcom sucks if you get there during dinner/happy hour. You can still find a parking spot, it'll just be a bit of a walk. Try to come in the early afternoon if you want a good parking space and to find a table for you and some friends.

I ordered the Korean fried chicken sandwich and man was this thing massive! I think the size and ginger garlic aioli sauce is what made this sandwich worth the price. Otherwise, I would say the chicken itself wasn't as juicy as I would have liked. I liked the fries, the crispy green onions on top were so delicious! The main reason why I am giving this a 3/5 stars is because it wasn't super memorable other than it being a huge fried chicken sandwich. I likely wouldn't order again, but good to try.

Located inside the Market at Malcom Yards is a delicious Southeast and East Asian kitchen. Abang Yoli is most known for their Korean fried chicken, so you know I had to get it! Having had so many Korean fried chicken places, I had high expectations for this place. The chicken was juicy and crispy, however, it was a bit under seasoned. Not the best Korean fried chicken I've ever had, but still pretty tasty! My friends and I also got fries which were yummy but again, under seasoned. BUT their spicy gochujang sauce made all the pieces meld in harmony.

FOOD: This WILL be the best chicken sandwich you will ever have... I promise you! The chicken is soooo crispy, and not to mention massive. I went to the Malcom Yards location, so there are a lot of other food and drink options around as well. SERVICE: It takes a bit of time for the chicken to come out. You order at the counter and then wait for them to text you when your order is ready. AMBIANCE: The Malcom Yards ambiance is really cool! A great area for lots of people to meet and mingle. A hip/modern food court with great options. The patio is cool as well! LOCATION/PARKING: Location is a bit outside of the city, but there is a large lot for parking.

Amazing place! Amazing foods. Everything on points. The hot dog is flavors bombs. French fries is just addictive. The only improvement that can be made is the rice noodle is undercooked and underseasoned. It has a lot of potential. I wanted it so bad to be good. Maybe add a dollop of kimchi and maybe more gojuchang

I visited Abang Yoli at their location at The Market at Malcolm Yards which provides lots of different seating areas. I went during dinner time, so the place was packed. Next time, I would sit outside since the noise was personally overstimulating. As for the food, I enjoyed the fried chicken. It was juicy but plain by itself. I imagine the fried chicken sandwich they're known for would be delicious but was hesitant to order since it's served on a milk bun, and I'm unfortunately lactose intolerant. The Asian fries had amazing flavor especially with the fried leeks and sauce. A little saltier than I liked but still very good with the fried chicken! It was fun to watch the cooks prepare the food! The staff here is friendly. Right now they're doing a promo for a free fried chicken sandwich (with a purchase of an entree) at their Nicollet location when you sign up for their email list. GO SIGN UP!!

Absolutely delicious meal. The portions were huge, and the dipping sauce and kimchi slaw complimented the chicken perfectly. The presentation was lovely, and the staff at the Abang Yoli counter were very friendly. I would come here again!

We were really hoping to try a new Korean restaurant. The marketplace itself is not that interesting. We got our card and headed right for this vendor. I ordered a two piece KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) with kimchi slaw. I normally love the chicken but this was really lacking. Way too much breading on the chicken and the only way to spice it up was dipping it in gojujung sauce. The slaw was not good at all. We also had the Asian noodle salad with chicken. The grilled chicken was good but the noodles were not pleasing at all. The other thing our group had were the French fries. They were so salty that we could barely eat them. All in all, the whole meal was less than great with a price tag quite high.

I ordered the cauliflower + a Diet Coke and really enjoyed it! The flavors were fun and I'm a huge veggie lover so this meal was a hit for me I'm always appreciative when a restaurant has a nutrient dense offering that's not a salad!

I believe that since COVID they have transitioned to takeout only, and it's great to see that the business is still thriving even if they are still operating under the takeout only model despite how the world has evolved away from the pandemic. For the few dishes that I came here for, qualities varied, with some dishes lacking flavor while others simply sloppily created. The Hainanese chicken relied solely on the extra dipping sauces for flavor while the chicken itself had no flavor alone. The nasi lemak had good flavor mainly because of the sambal, and the chicken had good texture. I didn't see any peanuts in the dish, which I thought was needed for nasi lemak. The sizzling beef and ginger scallion duck had pretty expected flavor because of their ingredients, meaning that what they looked like was what they tasted like, if that makes sense. When I got food from there a second time 4 months later, overall the food was better. The chili tofu wasn't spicy at all even if I asked for spicy in my original order. The char kway teow had both good flavor and soft texture, allowing a positive tasting experience. The sambal shrimp had a good amount of vegetables and not enough shrimp, and had very good flavor because of the sambal infused with the dish. Because their menu is huge, I think they have an adequate selection of options that can serve customers of all kinds. Even though this is not one of my favorite spots within the Twin Cities, the dishes they have already solidifies this establishment as a "must not miss" within the area.

Crispy outside, soft inside Roti Canai - amazing! No wonder this is a top rec on Yelp Dumplings - average but good! Chicken Rice - We didn't realize each dish came with rice, so we ordered this but so glad we did - it had amazing flavor. Pick up process was very easy - they have their system down. Highly recommend supporting this locally owned spot next time you're craving takeout!
