Ambiance B Food A++ Service A+ Highly recommend eating here! Way to go Todd I can put this on our go to places!!!

Hot sour soup. Way to black peppery

We went to Red Ginger for lunch today. Originally we were going to order off the menu but when we got there we saw they had a buffet. We'll I wish we'd tried their menu items. Everything we tried off the buffet was Luke warm. When they did bring out more chicken wings they were hot but not done inside. I tried to tell the person collecting plates but she maybe didn't speak English, not sure, but just walked away. So we probably won't be back.

Salt and pepper tofu ($12). Vegan by default. Doesn't travel well. Weirdly bland and unsatisfying.

I had high hopes that Red Ginger would be my go-to spot for Americanized Chinese food in the northern suburbs (yes, I get that granular about my restaurants). Unfortunately the food just isn't great. The fried veggie spring roll ($5.25) doesn't travel well and had an off-putting filling that had a cream-cheese flavor (but wasn't cream cheese). The salt and pepper tofu ($12) doesn't travel well because it's friend, but even still, had a baffling blandness to it. The kung pao tofu ($11) is more like a Szechuan tofu, as it lacks peanuts and any crunchy elements like water chestnuts or diced carrots. This dish was oily and the tofu had a spongy softness that held no appeal. The chow fun with black bean sauce ($13.50) is normally made with beef, but can be made with tofu for an extra ($1.50). I'm not sure why they charge to add tofu, but in any case, this dish felt overcooked and marginal at best. The only decent dish was the pea tips in garlic sauce ($15.50). But even here, it's swimming in oil and sauce and could have had a lighter touch. All told, Red Ginger is a disappointment.

Good food. We were there with group and the service was good. We all enjoyed the big round table.

Would not recommend. We have been coming here for years. Tonight we had tasteless food and ended up throwing it away. Very disappointed.

None of that American Chinese…read morefood;) It's a more upscale looking Chinese restaurant, and we love that they have big round marble lauriat tables with a lazy susan. We usually come with extended family and this is one place that has a big enough tank for 12. We were celebrating a birthday so ordered too much food for our group of 7. We also arrived early enough for dimsum. We ordered: Dimsum: Steamed Shrimp Rice Noodle Rolls Shrimp & Chive Pancakes Steamed Soup Dumplings Steamed BBQ Pork Buns Sesame Balls Pan fried Shrimp Dumplings in Crispy Tofu Skin Steamed Pork & Shrimp Dumplings Siumai Shrimp Dumplings Ha Gao Baked BBQ Pork Char Siu Buns Peking Duck 2 Ways Yangzou Fried Rice Typhoon Shelter Fish Seafood Stir Fried Cantonese Noodles Salt & Pepper Octopus Szechuan-style Dry-Fried String Beans We havent found amazing dimsum in the Twin Cities but Jade Dynasty's dimsum is okay when you need a fix, which goes for all their options. They have a laminated menu and you mark what you want with a pen. The Peking Duck was good but really haven't had much to compare it with in the cities. Our favorite is the Typhoon Shelter fish - the crispy garlic is so good and it's our must order. The rest of the non-dimsum food we ordered taste authentically Cantonese and better than other Chinese restaurants around that we've tried.

We went to Jade Dynasty around 6:45pm on a Monday. It is handicapped accessible, with a few…read morehandicap parking spaces in the lot. Most of the rest of parking is in a paid lot. The space is fairly clean, modern, and brightly lit during the day. My partner had the Nankin Wanderer's Punch which was sweet and fruity. I had the Long Island Limoncello which was good, but a little bland. We shared the rest of the meal. Steamed Bbq Pork Buns were delicious. Highly recommend. Steamed Soup Dumplings were very hot so I recommend letting them sit for a few minutes. Once they were cool enough to eat they were very good. Sesame Chicken-this is a dish I often use as a benchmark, and it was excellent. The chicken was crispy and the sauce was very good. Eggplant in Garlic Sauce was also delicious. Beef Brisket Stewed Clay Pot was disappointing. First off it was not in a clay pot. Why call it clay pot when you could call it a hot pot. When it is brought to your table it is fully cooked, and the pot is placed over a small gas stove so it continues to cook while at your table. Even though we let it stew for quite a while the beef was very tough and very chewy. Even though we ordered appetizers a good 10-15 minutes before the entrees, all of the food came out at the same time. Food was delivered fairly quickly, servers were ok.

Food ordered: Curry Combination entree- I'm not a fan of curry at all, but my husband likes it and said it was very good. Pork egg foo young - good but there were certain bites that I felt the grease as I swallowed. Big chunks of pork, but very greasy. I always toss the gravy out. Egg rolls- meh. I could leave those. I prefer the ones with cabbage- this one was just meat and the wrapper tasted oddly like a funnel cake. Chicken nuggets I thought my son would like but he didn't like them. They look just like McD's but had an odd spice. Pork noodle soup was deliciously fresh- I love bean sprouts and green onions. The broth was tasty- not sure the lettuce works and the dumplings were plump. I tried this as there was no wonton which is my favorite. They have really nice take out containers- especially the soup. Not the typical flimsy containers. Extensive menu- would probably venture back.

Also the flavor was exceptional nothing like the other restaurants I've been to.
