Second time eating here. Food is flavorful and fresh. I ordered the Philly and sweet potato fries. Delish!!!

Tucked away in a small strip mall on 15/Garfield, this is a solid mom/pop burger joint. On a Friday night, it was quite busy with take out orders and a full room of people eating in. There are only about 6-7 tables, and it's waitress service. You pay at the front when you are done, and tip in the common tip jar. The food: 1) 1/2 pound Shroom Burger: Mushrooms, Caramelized Onions, and Swiss Cheese. It was a great tasting burger, but I ordered a medium. I tend to like my burger a true medium and more pink. The hot hot mushrooms and cheese might have overcooked it. 2) Regular Burgers: Toppings are additional from .35 to $1. You can also order a baby burger, 1/4,1/3, and 1/2 pound. A typical half pound burger with cheese, tomato, lettuce will run you about 6 dollars. So, I wished I tried the onion rings, but I got a side of fries. I would pass on the fries next time, because it wasn't anything special. I will def. go back, and I'm going to try the Abby Lane burger or veggie burger next time. I'm a huge fan of their alfalfa sprout toppings on it! read more

I felt as though I was in a neighbor's kitchen and kids and girlfriend were hanging out. Food was good a little pricey but not a business I could recommend mainly do the lack of professionalism Sorry, they seem like nice people but i just dont feel like they are a legitimate enterprise at all. read more

I had "The Bleu", and my wife had the fish and chips dinner. Everything from the salad to the entree was very fresh. The burger was cooked perfectly, and I thought that the blue cheese and mozzarella was a brilliant combo. My wife is something of a self proclaimed fish and chips connoisseur, and she says that this was the best fish and chips she's had. This place is fantastic, the owner waited on us and was very attentive. It has a chilled atmosphere, and my wife greatly enjoyed viewing Law and Order while dining on some great food. I had a really bad hankering. For a good burger, I of course I went to Yelp to help me find the best and closest place to get one. After lots of searching, I found Abby Lane, and saw all of these raving reviews of it. Everyone said how amazing the burger was, and it was juicy and flavorful and just overall amazing. So obviously I was expecting the holy grail of burgers. Now, I don't know if it was my high expectations or if it was an off night or what, but my burger was not good. It had almost no flavor, and that was disappointing in and of itself, it had feta cheese and everything in it, too so usually that lends a good amount of flavor to whatever it's on. It did not do so this time. Our waitress was very apathetic towards us, and every time we wanted something, we would have to wave her down and call for her, even though our table was right next to the cash register counter where she was hanging out the entire time. Overall, a sub par experience and that burger hankering I had? Not satisfied. I am ever on the hunt for a good, fresh burger! The owner messaged me, asking what day and time I had been in the establishment. I was going to respond but every time I do, it says I've been blocked. Update: this issue has been resolved. I still don't know what happened, apart from that it was the owners son who originally messaged me and then blocked me, not the owner. but the owner was very kind and we have cleared things up. I appreciate an owner that is passionate enough of their business to reach out to an unsatisfied client and resolve some issues. read more

My review on Abby Lane is for anyone who is on the fence about deciding on where to go for a great quality burger. Im very very selective when it comes to deciding on where the great quality locations are, that goes for just about anything I buy as well. That being said for everyone that is undecided and is looking for a good burger this place is a MUST COME!! I'm not a big burger fanatic and to me a burger is basically mind set to it being, "Just a burger with the toppings and the difference is within the bun". I WAS WRONG!!!!! This was the best tasting burger I have ever ate! I GUARANTEE YOU, IF YOU TAKE MY WORD FOR IT YOU WILL THANK ME!! TL;DR: Abby Lane has THE BEST tasting burgers in Michigan. To be honest, I don't know how I found this place. I think it was Yelp, but I don't remember how I stumbled across a little burger place with a measly nine reviews on this site. All I know is, I'm glad I managed to try it out. As seen in my picture, I got a "The Bleu" burger with jalapenos and bacon added, cooked medium-rare, and with a side of onion rings. I don't know what else to say other than that this is easily one of the best burgers I've ever had. Forget about Achatz, as tasty as their food is. The only burger that I've had to this date that I preferred was The Plague Bringer at Kuma's Corner in Chicago. My burger was cooked to juicy perfection with a great grilled, char-broiled sort of flavor. The toppings were plentiful, and I couldn't ask for more. The onion rings were also top-tier, as far as I'm concerned. Extremely crispy, fresh, and comparable to Blimpy Burger in Ann Arbor's onion rings. If you come to Abby Lane, do yourself a favor and get an order of the rings. Not only was the food top notch, but the price was super reasonable at $10 for a half pound burger (with some extra toppings) with onion rings. I hope this place has many, many years left, because their sloppy, fantastic burgers and crispier-than-you'd-believe onion rings are something that any connoisseur would love. read more

I decided to give this place a shot and so I stopped in on my Lunch. As I pulled up I was a little hesitant as it's located in a strip mall. But when I stepped inside I was Pleasantly surprised and greeted warmly. The walls of this little place are adorned with "Beatles" Decor. I ordered "the Abbey" burger and a side of fries. I asked for my burger to be medium, it was cooked perfectly. The burger itself was well-crafted and perfectly blended with the peppered bacon, avocado, Bean sprouts, the restaurant's signature sauce (Abby sauce). These size of the burger was nice and is a great value at a little more then $6. The fries were perfectly golden and crisp. Overall the experience was exceptional. The waitress/ Owner(?); Abby was friendly as was her Father who cooked the burger. This place is a hidden gem. I would definitely stop in or Oder out if you happen to be in the neighborhood. read more

So much better than the big name sub places. These sandwiches are always huge and tasty. We love the sides as well, especially the Mac and cheese bites. If you're looking for something quick-- this is definitely the place. The prices are great! It's just a little spot so I'm sure that's why they aren't open later. I believe they close before 8 most nights, and that's the only downfall. The sub type of sandwiches, like the Philly, are definitely the best we've tried. (Over their burgers). Upon the recommendation of several non-Yelping people, I stopped in yesterday a little after the lunch crowd. After looking over the menu and deciding beforehand that I wanted a burger, I had to choose between the Abby (on special for Tuesday) or the Lane. I finally selected the Lane burger. With fries and an Arnold Palmer to drink, this turned out to be an excellent choice on my part (patting myself on the back). The burger was made from Black Angus ground beef and was smothered with grilled onions, mushrooms & cheese, and topped with a fresh bun. My fries were perfect, as was my drink.
