We went here for breakfast. I had the California eggs Benedict which was amazing, my sister had the vegetable omelette and agreed that the food was delicious. Our waitress was really attentive to our coffee cups as well as making sure we had everything we needed. The tables were clean as well as the restaurant itself. I would have given a 5 star , but the coffee was not great, seemed really weak, to much water and not enough coffee. Other than that I would definitely recommend Abby's Cafe read more

We enjoyed our visit here. We were a party of eight on a Sunday morning and we only had to wait 20 min. for a table. Everyone found something they wanted on the menu and all the food was good. We were heading home from a morning in Oak Glen, and in Yucaipa I googled "restaurants near me". So happy we chose this awesome little diner. Because I eat glute-free, I ordered a spinach and mushroom omelet. The first thing on the menu that I noticed was the Ruben sandwich. Well, turns out that I got gluten-free toast with my omelet. Top-notch food. I recommend the omelet. The bread is tasty. I seldom eat bread any more, but they have a good gluten-free. I definitely want to go back for a sandwich! Ruben or French dip is at the top of my list. I might not get rye or sour dough, but I'll still get a really good sandwich on great slices of bread. The waitress was awesome as well. I know you can visit a restaurant and have bad service once in awhile. Everyone has a bad day now and then. We have visited Abby's Cafe a lot this year. Not once have we had bad service. That doesn't surprise me because this restaurant is very well managed. I have worked in food service in the past and my friends can attest that I can be very picky. I am a very good cook and I know when food tastes fresh and has good flavor. Abby's gets more than 5 stars for their excellent management and their employees demonstrate amazing service. Some of the little things that I noticed are: The servers are always washing their hands. The servers bring coffee creamer to your table (they don't leave a huge basket on the tables that kids have been playing with for the last few weeks and have dropped on the floors or tried to open and are left in the baskets for the next customer to deal with). Same issue with the jelly "baskets" Abby's doesn't do that. They bring small amounts to your table and if you need more, they're always happy to provide. Even though there's people lined up waiting for a table, you wouldn't know it from the service you get. You still don't feel rushed. The employees get along. They seem like they really love their jobs. Today is Saturday and probably one of the busiest days of the week and the service is still the same courteous service as on other days. If I go back one day and I get bad service. I will know that it's not the norm. People aren't perfect but this restaurant seems pretty close! read more

Only been here once. Hard to give an accurate review. I had their corned beef hash, one of their recommended dishes. Portions were sufficient. The quality of the cook was good. Potatoes were crispy, corned beef wasn't too over or dry but close. They mixed the potatoes and corned beef really, really, well. I got eggs over easy and they were perfect. Staff was friendly. For the area, probably 4.5 stars. In the big picture, based on one dish, this place is average. Food wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. I honestly prefer the corned beef from costco to theirs and its not difficult a difficult dish to cook. Can't say anything on long term consistency or to any of their other dishes. There seems to be a lot of elderly and retired who come here and the portions are ok for the pricing given that you're not serving hungry college kids. read more

I thought long and hard wether this should be a 4 or 5. I decided that it deserves a 5 based on how good it is and the fact that it is a new establishment (2 weeks almost) which can be hard to get the kinks out. This is a sister restaurant to the one in Hemet. It is a lovely improvement over the prior establishment that was at the same location. They have gutted the whole interior and it is clean and pleasing to the eye. Everything I ate was cooked perfectly. And although it's just cafe food many cooks do not pay this close attention to get the grill right and as requested. My eyes were a perfect over medium. My hash browns were well done and browned as requested. The hash was tasty and nicely cooked. Even my English muffin had a nice crunch to it. Service was friendly. The wait for our food was adequate since they were rather busy. We definitely will go back. read more

For a little small town restaurant, this place is fantastic! I have a slight addiction! My two go to dishes are the Blue Cheese, Chicken, Walnut salad and the double BLT. The salad is fresh, with perfectly grilled chicken, bacon, walnuts, and cranberries. Best salad ever! The Double BLT is such a great sandwich, can't even describe! We've had great breakfasts here as well. The staff is amazing as well. Excellent choice for breakfast or lunch any day if the week!!! read more

This little hole in the wall restaurant is such a wonderful find. My husband and I stopped by July 3rd and had breakfast on our way from Phx to San Jose, CA. Breakfast was really good, but hey it is hard to mess up breakfast. So on our way back to Phx July 6 we stopped again and got both lunch and breakfast. The servers today were just as great as the ones on Friday and in case you're asking yes, they kept it clean and the tables were practicing social distancing lol. Love this place! Service is always spot on, everyone is so nice! I've only had breakfast at Abby's and it's always delicious and comes out quickly. Since quarantine, they have practiced social distancing by closing every other booth, so sometimes it's hard to get a seat because this place is always packed. P.S. An accidental stop when our car broke down but the waiting groups of people should have clued us in! Definitely a diner atmosphere--classic tables and chairs with a few booths in the edges. The kitchen is half exposed behind a pony wall. Wait staff was accommodating to changes in orders and were quick with refills and requests. We ate breakfast here and enjoyed candied nuts with banana pancakes amongst more traditional breakfast foods. You'd never see it from the street but it's got my vote for a delicious breakfast stop. read more

We came from San Pedro and tried Abby's for the first time. We had the chorizo scramble and shared the strawberry waffle, omg so yummy. Fresh strawberries and homemade whipped cream. Came back the next day cuz we loved it and had the monte cristo with blueberry pancakes, drool. Great service and great food! Will def come back when we're in town. read more
