Another trip to the Brit Pub! Such a great place with fantastic service. The place is definitely fun and the pace is relaxed so you never feel rushed. Love everything we try is cooked to order. We started with my wife jumping in the phone booth! We couldn't help but start again with the sausage rolls! The beer again was ice cold Harp. Our server let us taste the Speckled Hen but not our taste. I decided to try the Jerk shrimp skewers and my wife went with the chicken tikka masala. My shrimp was fantastic and the jerk sauce was a treat. Coupled with a pineapple vegetable basmati rice! The sauce was something else and we couldn't get enough of it! The shrimp were nice and plump. Wow! The chicken tikka was served piping hot. The sauce was thick and went so well again with the basmati. The chicken was nicely cooked and very tender loved it! The mango chutney was super fresh and the sides of naan made everything even better. We had leftovers again so it was great for lunch today! I've only made it here once so far, but I loved it! The ambience is the first thing you'll notice, and the location is excellent - adjoining the Switchbacks soccer stadium, so if you're sitting next to the window, you have a prime view. I had the cottage pie and a Boddington's and shared a sticky toffee pudding for dessert - omg, it's over the top, richly delicious! I'm looking forward to getting there for a (televised) World Cup game, because that has got to be the place to be. (And to trying their scone with proper cream - mmm!) read more

We had a group of five for a Friday at 630pm and only waited about 15min. The service was excellent and on top of things and even after ordering our food came out very quickly. We tried the Cauliflower and they were good, could have used for some additional sauce but not bad at all with that mango chutney. The sausage appetizer was great and quite delicious. I ended up getting the Cottage Pie and hot damn was is delicious! The flavor was so good, I could certainly come back and get it again. We also had the fish and chips were of course were amazing! Fantastic new venue in the Springs! The staff are top notch and the drinks are excellent. I had the Shepard's Pie and it was so authentic and flavorful. One of the bartenders there made me the best White Russian I've had in my life. This is truly a gem in this city. We wanted to love this place because we miss the pubs in England. We've been there a couple of times and my husband does like the lamb on the Sunday roast. I especially missed the pork Sunday roast in England and while I like the flavoring of it at the Brit Pub, there's just way too much fat and the outside has been more chewy than crunchy both times. My husband didn't like the Sunday roast beef dish. Also, the brunette bartender that seated us was rude the last time we were there. Both of our waitresses were nice. We may try their special on a Wednesday sometime and give them one more try because we don't know of any other British pubs in the area. read more

This is a new British bar in the downtown area, next to Weidner Field. Things seemed iffy at first, we waited a very long time for a hostess. VERY LONG. But once we were seated, things improved. We sat at the upstairs bar, which was cozy. Our waitress, Olivia, was attentive and positive. We chose the Scotch eggs for an appetizer. It's an egg covered in sausage and crust and then fried. Unusual but extremely pleasing. For dinner, we had the Rueben and a special, seafood pie. Like a shepherds pie, but with seafood (lobster, shrimp, halibut). Rueben was good, the seafood was awesome! Good food good service, but prioritizing trivia during the World Cup is a massive loss. I knew about this place before it opened and I waited patiently for the World Cup to give this place a try, knowing British pub's are prime real estate for FIFA madness. Unfortunately the Brit Pub was hosting a trivia match during the game and told us they weren't going to turn up the volume. Would not recommend as a football pub but rather a trivia pub where people looking to watch the World Cup can forget about it. Argentina just scored while I was writing this review and I didn't even notice because the TV's are turned all the way down. It was Brit Pubs opening weekend so you'd expect some teething problems, and there were, but overall the food, service and ambiance were outstanding. Started with the sausage rolls. 6 mini rolls with a tasty dipping sauce. These were not your frozen reheats but obviously freshly prepared and super hot. A generous portion of well seasoned sausage meat in a beautiful puff pastry - yum! For main had the steak and ale pie. Braised beef in a beer gravy and a full pastry shell - delicious. But this is where one of the teething issues arose. It was supposed to come with mash and seasonal vegetables but they'd run out of both so came with chips (fries) and a pepper/squash mix. I actually didn't mind because these were really good, gave me a chance to test the chips for authenticity (and they were) and the substitute veg was a very smart call by the chef. Drinks wise I had a pint of Smithwicks, which I think is actually Irish but whatever- still a great British beer! Wife had the Tickled Pink Martini which she loved. All in all a great experience. One other teething issue is that, at the time of writing, the pubs website is lacking much info including menus, so I'm posting photos of those here together with photos of what we had. read more

While visiting the area and stumbled across The Brit Pub and was greeted by the cheerful hostess who sat us immediately. Our waitress was great! Provides recommendations and played with my grandson while we figured out our order. I ordered the Short Rib and my daughter had the steak and ale pie. OMG!!! That short rib was sooooo tender. The crust on the pie was so flaky and the root veges on both dishes were sweet and tender. Overall, very pleased with the meal. The iconic red phone booth greats you as you walk in. Upstairs is a whole vibe with premiere league team banners and scarves. When I return in the summer, I will definitely return. Hopefully to catch some football and enjoy another meal. read more

Not a good first impression. Was told wait would be 25 min to get a table 2 people... took 50.to get seated. After getting a table and ordering a drink it took another 20 min to get it and then get our order taken.... After an hour of waiting for our food and being told it should be right out we asked to get the check. While talking to the manager 70 min after ordering our food came out.. it was cold and underwhelming. It was over two hours for our food and they gave us half of our bill which wasn't worth it. The ambiance was really nice. But over all very disappointed. I understand that it was open weekend and they were busyish.... But the wait time with no communication and so so good wasn't worth the cost or wait. Hope others have a better experience read more

Very well decorated but I hope they improve their cocktails. Went with friends last night and all of us didn't like our drinks and I ended up not drinking my old fashioned (on the menu) at all. My husband said that it's a British pub so cocktails probably aren't their specialty but all of us ordered the cocktails off the holiday menu so I figured they would be ok. Made a reservation for first floor dining on Saturday night and brilliant live music was filling the second floor and first floor dining area. Very professional and friendly staff in front and back of house. The decor reminds me of previous travels and enjoyed sports being the focus of many guests in an upscale dining environment. Reminded me of Seahawks NFL games, or early morning soccer matches and eating on the patio at the old Brit. The British fare is carefully executed and the plates are a masterpiece. Drink is above average for Colorado Springs and comes through in the Steak & Ale Pie! Every meal and side is correctly seasoned and very flavorful . Fresh fish for Fish N Chips with mushy peas and crisp peppery arugula with juicy grilled 10 oz duroc pork chop. Look at the spices on the tomatoes and the marinated mushrooms. I wanted to ask for beans to add another familiar side in this British Dining Journey. The drinks were quickly refilled and the night ended with a not pictured Sticky Toffee Pudding. The Sticky Toffee Pudding is a classic British dessert. Dark and dense sponge cake made with chopped dates, and topped with a sweet toffee sauce. Served with vanilla ice cream. The escape for a few hours was worth the price. I assume that after a match on the switchbacks pitch , that this place will be more magical!! Finally, i want to make a reservation for the Sunday Roast at this pub location. Always enjoyed the Sunday Roast at the other Brit. read more

I have now been fortunate enough to eat at the Brit pub twice within 30 days. Both experiences were positive and the food is absolutely outstanding. I would highly recommend going to this restaurant. The first time I had the steak pie. I don't think I've ever had anything served as hot as this was at any restaurant. It was outstanding and the gravy was delicious. The second time I had the Reuben. We must have caught them on an off night. The place was packed because the Switchback playoff game was being televised in the Pub. Chatting with one hostess, she said they had been going non-stop all day. We had a tolerable wait for a table. We were seated on the upper floor. They were out of many of their entrées. Our party of three settled on the Fish and Chips because it was available. We were warned they may be out of chips!. We were told they were sold out of most, if not all of their burgers, the Steak and Ale pie and a several of other things. It narrowed the available choices. So Fish and Chips it would be for our dinner. We ordered drinks and an appetizer of their crispy cauliflower. The drinks came out relatively quickly, but the Cauliflower arrived after our entrees. It was tasty but it seemed we got the dregs of the night. A small portion for the price and essentially crumbs of cauliflower. Our server was pleasant but obviously stressed because of the crowd. A few of the Switchback fans were overly loud, vulgar and demanding. That may have added to her angst. We saw her in tears while talking to what we guessed was the manager. Our Fish and Chips was very good. A large portion of fish in an nice crispy batter. The Chips were okay - possibly a result of the warning they may not be available. A good third were over cooked and deep dark brown approaching black with a smattering of small pieces. The rest were tasty. We parked in the garage attached to the building. There was plenty of space but poor signage. It was unclear what is public parking and what is parking for the Apartment complex. A resident pointed us to what she termed public parking on the lower level. Plenty of space there. We found a sign that told us to use the north elevator for the pub, but there was no diagram of where the elevator was located. Eventually found our way in. Leaving was much easier, a straight shot through well marked doors. We will let the newness wear off and try again later. read more
