My name is Alex and I love Abby's. There I said it. I've never had a bad item here from the time I walked by and decided randomly to get two shrimp tacos. The great taste continued to the point where talking about it with a friend I had to come back the same day for fish tacos and beef torta and what has to be at least my 6th trip now, when I finally tried the cerviche. They even have surprisingly great fish and chips! The only down sides are: 1. they have the Ole horchata instead of a fresher homemade type, 2. the seating usually leads me to just do take-out instead of eating there and 3. their parking lot is so small only four cars can fit at one time. read more

So I'm typing this as I am in front of the business waiting for my food. To be fair, a business should be rated in Atleast 3 categories. Cleanliness/friendliness, convinience, and quality/quantity of food. 2 stars so far for the fact the the same people tendering the cash are also cooking! All three people in there. Right away I can say that is grose. My suggestion would be keep the cooks in the kitchen!! It's typical in any food business. Important note they only take cash! Also, only outdoor seating. I'll be updating my review once I get my food. I'll either boost the rating for taste & quality of food or bring it down. Hope this review helps yelpers read more

Since I don't eat meat or fish, I ordered the quesadilla which was the only vegetarian option on the menu. I thought it was would be a plain cheese and tortilla but it was actually filled with onion cilantro and diced tomatoes. It was pretty big sized quesadilla; I couldn't finish it all. Indulge me in my continued search for high quality burritos in LA. I finally tried Abby's seafood and considering it is a place known for Seafood and not burritos, the burrito was nothing short of damn fine. Fantastic tortilla, something which can make or break a burrito, but my first bite was mostly tortilla and I was pleased, not bored. Right mouth feel for a burrito tortilla with that slight bit of chewiness that makes it just right. However, the meat of the burrito was somewhat boring. I kept expecting it to change from general bean taste with spiced carne asada, however it didn't move from there. I believe comparing a real burrito to a chipotle burrito is folly as chipotle does not make a true burrito, still it is somewhat disapointing to have just a solid mash of beans and meat chunks with rice. Filling and tasty but not phenomenal. I miss vegetables. Anyway, the entire burrito was only six dollars and came with chips and two kinds of salsa, so yes I will be back. Would certainly recommend.
