Nostalgia! Haven't been to Boiling Crab in years, but glad I came back. Great service. Quick food. Seasoned and sauced to perfection. Shrimp and fries. Great for groups!

Had a great time at The Boiling Crab. The seafood was fresh, the seasoning was really good, and the service was friendly. Definitely coming back!

The only location that gets the flavor right! I always crave their shrimp with rice -- it's my go-to! We always order the same: shrimp with mixed sauce, potatoes, rice, sausage, and corn. Try making a rice ball, dipping it in the sauce, and topping it with shrimp -- best flavor ever! The only "problem" is you'll want more rice because it's so good. Their servers are always super friendly too!

Great gumbo! Big enough to be a full meal-- especially w a side of fries. ;) If you order Gumbo with rice they just give a tiny scoop inside, so if you want a more hardy meal maybe order a full side of rice. I don't eat too much seafood, so I passed on the boil (my friends enjoyed it a lot!), but they have other menu options like chicken tenders, fried shrimp, and gumbo, for those like me. Great upbeat ambiance and super quick service! The bags came out in a heartbeat.

Yay one of my best friends who moved to Texas finally came back to LA for just one day to visit and while we were gonna go out to Eastwood after dining here, they had to move on to going to Vegas. But in the interim, we still gotta enjoy a meal we were all highly anticipating, Boiling Crab! We went with mild the whole shebang, which is one of the best sauces they have here for the seafood that they put in their bags. The mussels we got were full of flavor and boiled to the perfect temperature. While the shrimp were hard to peel and did end up poking my friend's finger, they were big and full of flavor as well. A lot of the sauce just sticks into that head area and it's really good to get that flavor there. Then the snow crab, which was my first time ordering it, tasted really similar to their king crab. Could hardly tell a difference, but it's definitely not the same amount of meat. One downside I would say is that if you do want king crab, with the prices nowadays, that's definitely going to cost over $100 for an order... My ex wife and I used to get king crab at boiling crab, along with other things, for under $100... Now that's not even possible anymore, which kinda sucks. The sausage we got which isn't pictured was good and full of flavor. What I liked a lot was the corn. The corn just has the right amount of steam to it that each bite bursts with flavor and when mixed with the seasoning, that taste is just so memorable. The potatoes were good too. I don't know why, but whenever I come here, I always want the fried catfish too. I think when it comes to fried fish, boiling crab does it right too. Our server was so kind and attentive and made sure we got everything we needed. The wait was only 10 minutes and the ambiance here is always fun with how many people are just honed in to their exciting meals and just going at it. I'm happy I came and look forward to coming again. Jennycat also enjoyed wearing the bib when I got home! Meow.

Boiling crabs is hands down my favorite place to go and every single time the service is impeccable! I always leave satisfied. The workers are always so joyful and always so attentive if we need more beverages etc. Overall, the wait time is reasonable they bring out your food in a timely manner.

Awesome food and service. The host was very fun and good at his job. His name started with a C I think... very funny guy. Our waitress was very nice and patient with us. We ordered medium spice and our mouths were on FIRE so be careful lol. Everything was still super delicious and you can't beat the price. The area is a little odd to navigate. A lot of cars are just stopped in the middle of the road. There's underground parking that can be validated, it costed us $5 to park. The restaurant itself was on the smaller side, but still made for a great dining experience. I can imagine it gets busy on weekends

As a seafood boil lover, this experience disappointed me. Got 1.5 pounds of head on shrimp, 1 pound of frozen crawfish (they did not have live ones), and 1 pound of snow crab legs. This was after waiting for 1 hour to get a seat. The flavor of the Shebang sauce was amazing and truly made the meal, but the seafood was heavily underwhelming. The shrimp was very hard to peel - likely because it was slightly overcooked. The crawfish was good but I could tell it was frozen; unfortunately I could not get the live ones. The snow crab legs were probably the worst - for some reason they were VERY salty, so much so that I couldn't even finish them. As a whole, the meal was still good, but definitely not worth the price at all. I highly recommend not getting the snow crab legs. Nevertheless, the service was great and it's a family friendly environment.

We were seated right away for a Party of 2 at 5:30 PM on a Wednesday Night. The Sha-Bang 1 Lb Shrimp, with Eggs, Sausage & Corn! With some rice & Calamari. My bf got Snow Crab & Clams & Potatoes. Also Half-Dozen Fresh Oysters and 1 Soda. Very flavorful and worth the money. Total was $122 Before Tips. Flavor is 10/10 Service 10/10 Will come back again if we're ever in LA!

The experience was great we did wait about 1 hr and 10 minutes or so. Once we got in the server was very attentive and our food didn't take very long as we both were very hungry lol.. There was some good music being played while we ate. The food was delicious I ordered a pound of crab legs, the sha bang bang shrimp, potatoes/corn and a order of fried oysters which were seasoned nicely and fried just how I asked for them to be. 10/10 Tuesday night experience. Full and happy!

We came here with a big group of 16 people, and they accommodated us with no problem at all. From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and very attentive. The service was fast and efficient, even with our large party. The food was absolutely amazing--everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned with that signature Cajun kick. We ordered a variety of seafood boils, and dish was a hit. The sauces were rich and tasty, and the seafood was cooked just right. It's hard to find places that can handle big groups and still deliver great service and food, but this place nailed it. Highly recommend it if you're craving delicious Cajun seafood and a great dining experience with friends or family.

Kickin combo #2 with medium kickin sauce (1.5 pounds snow crab legs, clams, headless shrimp, mussels, sausage, corn, potatoes) with a side of Cajun fries... perfection! Was enough food for 3 people and leftovers. Bursting with flavor I swear. The shrimp and sausage might have been the standouts for me because I prefer king crab over snow. But altogether outstanding. Also I really enjoyed the r&b music they were playing. You can tell this place gets busy. Another plus is they have a plaza parking lot right in the middle of sunset which is rare.

My go-to order never changes because it never disappoints. I always get the calamari, garlic noodles, sweet potato fries, wings, and of course a shrimp boil bag. Everything comes out hot, well seasoned, and so satisfying. The service is another reason I keep coming back. Our server, Leanne, is the best. She is so sweet, friendly, and attentive, which really makes the experience even better. The music is fun, the vibes are lively, and they have multiple TVs playing all the games, making it a great spot to hang out with friends. Reliable food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. I'll always come back here and recommend it every time.

However, my friend is a seafood boil vet and it didn't leave her feeling impressed. Me: 8/10 Her: 7/10 I appreciate the attentive staff and their attention to cleanliness! We've been eyeing this spot for about 2 months now so I'm glad we were able to check it out.

First off, the all you can eat is a set basket of food, meaning you get mussels, shrimp, clams, crawfish, potatoes, garlic noodles, corn and their daily basket. You cannot pick you are forced to get all these items. Whatever, not that big of a deal but really not great. The price is 38.99 a person, okay got it. It takes them so long...so long!! Just for us to order, a bit disappointed honestly. The food arrives decently fast. I dig in, Mama B is hungry y'all! The shrimp is cheap, okay. Small, fishy, rubbery Walmart type of shrimps. The corn plasticy, cheap and just disgusting. The potatoes, poorly cooked and under seasoned. The clams... no notes. Now at this point Mama B is scared y'all...I wasn't trying to get food poisoning. I'm disappointed, honestly the most flavourless seafood boil I have ever had the displeasure of eating. What's horrifying is the bill was $91...$91!!!! I feel like this math is just not mathing. I believe the tax is ridiculously high and possible charged for water cups? I really truly could've made a mean Walmart seafood boil for a cheaper price, that'd actually be seasoned... Not Mama B approved, go elsewhere.

The food is absolutely amazing. It's a small, long-standing spot with a lot of history, and you can taste that in the food. The charbroiled oysters are to die for my first time having them, they were packed with flavor and seasoning. The second time, they were still really good, just not quite as flavorful as that first experience. The red snapper plate w/ shrimp is so good, and the mac and cheese surprised me because I'm not even a big mac and cheese person, but I actually really enjoyed it. Even the Caesar salad stands out super fresh and flavorful. Another thing I love is that the food always comes out hot and fresh, which makes a big difference. Service is impressive too. Even when it's crowded (and it usually is), they're attentive and get to you pretty quickly, which I appreciate. The only downside is parking it's honestly kind of a hassle. It's either valet or street parking, and most of the time you'll end up parking a bit far and walking. Not the best, but manageable. Overall, I've already been twice within a couple of months, and I can't wait to go back again. Definitely worth it.

The food was just mediocre across the board, and as someone from the South, I was honestly shocked they didn't even offer southern greens. That alone felt almost criminal to me. The parking situation is terrible, and the interior felt more like a tired tourist stop than the legendary spot people build it up to be. I wanted to love it. I really did. But for me, this one just didn't live up to the reputation at all. Skip it.
