My boyfriend brought his work truck in for a diagnostic due to starting issues and other concerns. We were initially charged for the diagnostic, and then quoted approximately $1,900 for repairs. After leaving the vehicle with them, communication quickly became a major issue. Nearly a full week went by with no updates we had to call them ourselves just to find out what was going on. We were told they were waiting on a part from California and that it would arrive within a couple of days. However, several more days passed with no communication. Each time we followed up, we were given vague answers and repeated assurances that the truck would be "ready later that day or the next." This happened several times on separate occasions where we were told the truck would be ready, only for it not to be. In total, they had the truck for three weeks. This is not just an inconvenience this is our work truck, and the delay directly caused lost income. When the truck was finally picked up, on the very next day one of the original issue was still not resolved. It continued to have trouble starting one of the very issue it was brought in for. When we contacted them about this, instead of taking responsibility, and covering it under the repair warranty they claimed it was a separate problem and informed us it would be an additional charge of $400. Additionally, when we attempted to contact the owner directly to discuss and resolve this issue, our calls were ignored and not returned. This is unacceptable. The purpose of a diagnostic is to identify the issues with the vehicle. Charging nearly $2,000 and returning the truck with the same problem and then charging more for it shows either a lack of competence or a lack of integrity. Overall, the experience was marked by: Poor communication and lack of proactive updates Repeated missed timelines and false assurances Extended delays that caused financial loss Failure to properly diagnose and fix the original issue Additional charges for a problem that should have been addressed initially. I rarely leave reviews, but this experience warrants it. Based on our experience, I would not trust this shop with another vehicle, and I would not recommend it to others.

Even though they weren't busy, he still took great care and had the alignment done in under 30 minutes--about 45 minutes total including a test drive. The car now drives perfectly straight, with both camber and toe dialed in just right. Also I got paper work before and after alignment. It did not cost me a lot like the other shops that wanted close to $300. I paid $180 for the alignment!( thank you Yoshi ) The shop is very professional, and the service was fast and smooth. The mechanics were polite and easy to talk to. I also loved seeing all the JDM cars they had--R32s, R33s, and even an '86 and MR2. It felt like stepping back into the 1990s. And he only charged me $82. I was in and out within the hour. I had been coming to Samurai Motors for about 2 years, just getting oil changes, but this will now be my go-to for anything related to my Toyota. The other people in the lobby even boasted about Yoshi's honesty and integrity. There's not many honest mechanics out there. I can't recommend Yoshi and his team enough.

However, these guys are great. They do good, honest work. They communicate price and time. The office area is clean and comfortable to wait in. They have complimentary drinks and ice cream while you wait. I like that this location is in the heart of Chinatown, so if I know the work is going to take awhile, I can walk to a nearby business to hang out. Carlos was very helpful with having it inspected and going over my concerns that most FJs have. I did get some front end work done that was needed and also had some parts replaced that would need to be replaced in the future , but since they already were going to have it taken apart why wait to do it and have to pay for more labor in the future. I believe in fixing it right now before it breaks and then you have more trouble. I just sold my old car that I had for 10 years today and because I take care of my vehicles the guy didn't even haggle over the price and bought it. He didn't even test drive it first till I insisted ! Anyway , I will be back the end of this month to do fluids before I move out of state. I highly recommend Busy Buggy. They did great work , saved me money , and did the work in one day. I dropped off in the morning and picked up late afternoon. Also I love my 2010 FJ Cruiser. I was looking for a 4Runner for some time now and was lucky to find this one for a great price and great condition so I jumped on it. Everyone says it fits me more than the 4Runner. When I returned to pick it up, I was informed that the alignment could not be properly completed unless I purchased and installed an additional part costing approximately $600. Despite paying for the alignment service, my vehicle's alignment remained incorrect, with the steering pulling noticeably to the right. The shop maintained that the additional part was necessary to correct the issue. Unsatisfied with the result, I sought a second opinion from another independent repair shop. The technician there was able to properly correct the alignment in approximately 20 minutes without installing any additional parts. According to the technician, the issue appeared to be that Triton Auto Care either misdiagnosed the problem or was unable to properly perform the alignment. After having the alignment corrected elsewhere, I contacted Triton Auto Care to request a refund for the alignment service, as the work I paid for had not been completed satisfactorily and I was forced to pay another shop to fix the issue. Triton Auto Care stated that they would need to inspect my vehicle to verify my claim before considering a refund. I returned to their shop with both my vehicle and documentation from the second repair facility. However, after inspecting the vehicle, Triton Auto Care still refused to issue any refund. As a result, I paid for an alignment service that was not properly performed and incurred additional expense to have the problem corrected elsewhere. I am filing this complaint because I believe I was charged for a service that was either performed improperly or not completed as represented, and the business refused to provide reimbursement even after the issue was independently corrected and documented by another repair facility.
