Do not, and I repeat do not order take out from here. Done it twice now thinking the first time was a fluke but it's not. They said 20 minutes, and I waited almost an hour for my takeout. I ordered 2 large plain-ish pizzas, small pizza, and 2 salads, that's it. The girls there are in-competent and act like they have no idea what they are doing. Never again. An Italian/Greek restaurant with, I would presume, probably Greek owners. The interior is a bit worn around the edges and dated but the service was prompt and absolutely fine. I was not too impressed however with the food: I went with some Greek options figuring if an Italian/Pizza place has Greek specialities, that means the owners may be Greek or greatly interested in Greek cuisine. However, my Greek salad had plenty of wilted lettuce and otherwise tasted like it was composed of lackluster vegetables. My order of dolmades were utterly *covered* in a blend of Italian cheeses--same on the salad, no feta in sight! Good dolmades do not need other dressings/condiments atop of them--the grape leaves *are* in fact the "dressing" combined with their seasonings. Perhaps the pizza is good--I've heard it really is--but for a Greek salad and dolmades, I could do better even making these myself. read more

Well, first of all don't believe the menu because they don't have a pizza buffet and half the things that they say on the menu are not on the menu. This is the one that is located in Chiefland Florida. Evidently there's several other ones and I'm going by their reviews not the one here that we ate at Pizza was weird Sauce off. My husband had a grinder sub and he liked that it was ham and cheese so the service was mediocre seat yourself, which we did and no one noticed us for at least a good 5 to 7 minutes two other people came in and sat down and they immediately got waited on, so not great about that. Had to go off and tell him where we were an ass for the news And it is a cute little place. It's got your checkered tablecloth and lots of tables and booth wouldn't eat here again though sorry disappointed. read more

Recently visited ABC with my family. My wife and sister-in-law each got small pizzas (some like it hot and others not so much) but I was in the mood for seafood. I ordered shrimp linguine Alfredo and it was fantastic. Portion size was big enough to satisfy my craving; homemade Alfredo sauce was rich and creamy; garlic bread was perfect. I left full and happy. My wife and sister-in-law both commented how tasty their pizzas were especially the crust which is made fresh daily on site. The "small" pizza was more than enough to satisfy for their meal and plenty for a "go box." (Later that evening I got in the spicy pizza and it was terrific). We highly recommend this establishment. Food was great, wait staff service was right on cue and the interior was clean, neat although very busy. read more

My partner says to me as we seat ourselves " you knew what your were getting into". I did? I expected somebody to bring us menus within a few minutes of walking in. The waitress finally wanders to us and takes our drink order but still no menus. I didn't want to sit around for another few minutes so I go to the counter to get my own even tho there are girls lolly gagging around looking at me. One can always see how poor or good a place's management is based on how many ppl are standing around or actively working helping thier fellow coworkers when they get busy. This place's service- pretty iffy. But here's the thing the food is yummy and seemingly fresh so yeah imma come back cuz it's worth putting up with the riff raff. Let me first say that I live in Western New York and I am definitely a pizza and wing snob. In my experience, you just can't get good pizza outside of New York. However, we usually stop here at least once when we are in town visiting family. My favorite is the house pizza. Toppings are fresh and the crust is delicious and cooked to perfection. This last visit, we ordered the Spanky Break for an appetizer. Basically garlic bread with cheese, but it is excellent! We will continue to come here when we are out of town. Love the food here and the service has been great WHEN you can get in. Tried multiple times to eat here when traveling through Chiefland , but they never open on time. I have waited 10, 15 minutes past their posted times to open. There are people inside & workers waiting in their car but locked doors. All of the people waiting outside with us gave up, too. We stayed at the Inn next door. I have written a review of that also. Pizza restaurant right next door. How convenient. We ordered a cheese pizza. The pizza looked really good. I'm posting a pic. My husband and I have tried to figure out what the issue with the cheese was. Was the mozzarella sliced or grated so thick that it didn't/couldn't melt properly? Was it sliced or grated so thick that it melted, but then quickly seized up as it cooled? Was it just not the best quality mozzarella? We can't put our finger on it, but it just wasn't good and we could not finish it. The sauce was just so so also. I don't like writing a negative review on just one visit and one menu item, but, because of it's close proximity to the Inn, I thought this review might be helpful to travelers. What will it be option A option B or option C luckily here we can have all three. After two days at a local backwoods beach it was time to assimilate back into society and with that need, the desire of great food is very important. Welcome to Chiefland another non descript town along the US 19/98 corridor following Florida's nature coast between Tampa and Tallahassee. The ABC Restaurant is an obvious favorite of the locals and the travelers alike a palatable oasis in the sea of mundane dining options. Positioned near the Quality Inn and directly on US19 with a good sized parking lot and a pleasant appeal from the road. Approaching the building we notice the arches shading a seemingly small building from the harsh Florida sun. It's already pushing 9 pm and we are hoping these folks will feed us luckily they will and grateful I am. Large comfy looking booths surround the perimeter while tables with green and white checked table cloths full in the centers of the dining area. We choose a seat in the center near what is obviously a salad bar for the guest that actually arrive early enough for it. Our server is Courtney, tea orders are taken and an appetizer of Dolmadecki Stuffed Grape leaves is placed while we look over the menu. Todays special is Spaghetti with meat sauce and side salad. I'm not a spaghetti kind of guy so that is not my option A. The appetizer comes to the table and the presentation is very appealing to the eye there are 5 leaves stuffed with tender rice separated by tomato wedges garnished with feta cheese and a rich balsamic glaze. I should mention that I'm not a big fan of the balsamic but in this case it adds that other dimension that pushes a simple dish to that next level. They have definitely got a winner with this dish. My Bride chose the Lasagna and Meat Sauce I chose the Giant Stuffed Shells with meat sauce and an order of Mousakka. The dinner quickly arrived with an accompanying basket of dinner rolls and butter, I'm happy, show me a fat boy that doesn't get excited about hot rolls and butter! My stuffed shells is served with a salad which my bride quickly claims and that's fine I will keep the rolls and the butter. The bride is satisfied with her lasagna and my salad the portions are generous and the flavors are right my shells are indeed large and stuffed full of the cheese trifecta with ample sauce and cheese. Moussaka a funny name but a serious choice! An often overlooked but still a defining flavor of the Mediterranean region. A generous portion of layers with a pasta and ground beef base followed by ample eggplant and the ever present pipped on mashed potatoes. Your palate will certainly whisk you away to the Mediterranean coast and the Greek Isles with the rich earthy undertones of nutmeg, allspice, cardamom and a possible subtle hint of cloves all working together to creat a slice of heaven right here on earth. I will certainly return again at a much earlier time so that I have more time to explore the menu and indulge in the passions coming from this kitchen. I give them five stars because not only did the kitchen excel in its efforts to produce a top quality meal especially this late in the evening, but all the staff went over and above to accommodate my bride an eye while making certain that we were well fed with a great dining experience. Called in for a pizza to go, paid for it with a credit card because our friends were picking it up & coming to our house. I called in an hour early & it wasn't done when they got there. They waited around almost a half hour & it never did get done! The manager gave them the money back and said they couldn't make it. What!!!!! Absolutely disgusting customer service. Stopped in here while traveling, to grab a pizza to go. I wish I could have this type of Greek pizza back home. Ordered a mushroom, sausage and onion pizza, there were plenty of toppings. The pizza had a very light dusting of sea salt, which brought this pizza to a whole new level, it was just a slight hint of sea salt, but it made this pizza awesome. They use finely chopped sweet purple onions and not huge chunks or wide strips of the regular yellow onions, like most pizza places. Decent food. Probably my favorite pizza place in our little town. But there's not much option. But pizza and other food is good. Decent dining room and is open. The owner however makes for a toxic work environment. We have yet to be in there eating when he hasn't been yelling at employees loud enough so that customers can hear. It's not a nice environment to eat out when you always hear such negativity and complaining coming from the owner in the kitchen. When the employees look upset because they are always getting yelled at it doesn't make for a pleasant dining in experience. I would add that a plain cheese pizza might have too much sauce and too much cheese as if you get take out and eat at home the cheese and sauce fall off when you try to eat it. We were most happy with the restaurant accommodations, the food and great, attentive service. While the building is older, we loved the spaciousness of it. Diners had room to be comfortable. Everyone in our section seemed very happy. We stopped for a light Mediterranean lunch on our way to Tallahassee. We had the medium Greek salad without potato salad and zucchini fries. Our meal was just right. Our waitress let us know the zucchini fries would take a while. We leisurely enjoyed our salads with house dressing while the fries were prepared. They were brought to us when I was about half finished and my husband was almost finished. He was most pleased with the fries and the timing. "These are really good!" Meanwhile, our waitress let me know they were making some regular coffee for another customer, would I like some? Yes! (I had expressed interest earlier but didn't order any) So thoughtful of her (sadly I don't recall her name). When she brought the coffee, I added baklava for dessert. I have eaten here a few times and picked up pizza from here twice. It's a mixed review. I really like the calzones. They have been spot-on each time. The first pizza I got from there was better than the second. The second wasn't baaaad pizza... but it wasn't as good as the first, which rocked. One inside dining experience was pretty darn good. Good food, good wait staff, enjoyable experience. On the other hand, a second inside dining experience not as good. The food was on-par with their usual quality but the wait staff abandoned me and never bothered to refill my drink, which made it more difficult to enjoy the food. Had I not been abandoned by the wait staff and the two pizzas been consistent I would have rated this place higher. As it turns out, I cant. read more
