What's not to like about an ABC store? Personally, I love the store, so many of them, everywhere, especially in tourist areas. This is the store you go to when staying at a hotel with no means of a kitchen. This is the place you go to when you forgot you sandals or your toothpaste and sunscreen. This is the place you go to for souvenirs and chocolates and sweet smelling body lotions. The only beef I have with this location behind the Chevron gas station is the parking. So many visitors with their convertible rental cars think that they own the lot. Some park in two spaces, and some park in the middle of the lot , hop off , and come running back.....what was that all about? But I do like this ABC store for its size and crew and it is air conditioned! read more

We come to Hawaii twice a yearZ. And most stores are touristy , well who wouldn't be right ? But this store is always clean, very organized and they have normal food and drinks but all the shirts, hats, etc. you could want. But the store is open, organized and not stacked to the hilt with crappy trinkets. Yes they have a few but it's so well organized that we live coming here even if it's a few cents more per item. read more

This place has tons of souvenirs! They look the same as the more expensive ones you'll find all over Maui. Be careful though....if you find a t-shirt in the clearance bin, it could be in the wrong place, and they'll charge you full price. This happened, and it pissed me off. I think if you find something in a sale bin, they should give you the sale price.It's not like it's my fault it's in the wrong place. (Especially if it's similar to other shirts in said bin.) This ABC Store in Kihei is one of the nicer ones I have seen. It has a good selection of most things a tourist needs. Daily goods, food items, souvenirs, beach gear, alcohol, etc etc. Very well organized store and clean. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. We stay in a hotel close to this location so it is always our go to store if we need something quick. You can find better prices on many things but you have to drive a bit further out of your way to go to bigger stores. The tourist prices aren't way out of whack with what they cost in other stores so it isn't that big of a deal. read more

9 minute walk from Kehei Akahi, every morning went in for coffee. Noticed everyone following CDC guidelines which was solid. Heads up Coffee is located up front at the register. They have creamer and Equal if needed. One morning I woke up for Brunch an ordered a Hamburger Steak, the Lady taking my order was very nice and provided solid Customer Service. The Hamburger Steak was okay the gravy, onions and mushrooms was mean. The hamburger wasn't homemade so that's why they got 4-****'s. Convenient Store at it's finest!! read more

Convenient but was shocked by one of the young clerks who responded they weren't an ATM after I asked if they had a cash back option. Also instead of advising me where the nearest ATM was when I asked where the nearest WF ATM was she said they don't have any. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. read more

Wow! Talk about an upgrade ! This ABC store isn't the dumpy place I remembered it to be. It has taken on a look that is more upscale and has made the shopping here far more pleasant. I wish San Diego had convenience stores like this! Its a 7-11, Subway, L&L and souvenir shop all in one. I'm currently taking a snack break fm longboardin and had to rave about what I just purchased. For a quick snack I bought a chicken katsu masubi and Kona Brew Castaway IPA for $6, perfect fast burning simple carbs to refuel my 2nd round of surfing for the day!! You can break a 6 pack for about $2/ ea. I highly recommend ABC when looking for a quick bite, travel sized toiletries and even Hello Kitty HI souvenirs. read more

I love this store! Every time we get into town... I stop in and pick up what I forgot, and loads of post cards for the next day on the beach. It is like the Walmart of the Island... I have a great beach bag and swim suit cover up that was a few dollars for many compliments, replacement sunglasses, and afternoon on the beach bottle of Moet from this spot. I've been here many times, usually for gas and it seems ok. But, last night I went there and I was double charged for several items. This location shares real estate with a Chevron station, and sits right across the street from Kama'ole I beach - right near the corner of S Kihei and Alanui Ke Ali'i. A great location, and ultra convenient, this ABC Store is probably my favorite. For a store that caters to tourism and convenience, it's an absolute winner. Here you'll find practically everything under the Sun. Household food items and beverages, beach towels and beach-wear, sandwiches and sunscreen, booze and breath mints, sundries and souvenirs, and a tank full of petrol to boot! Best of all - they carry Spree. It's my addiction. :) Prices aren't great, better shopping planning could easily result in cost savings. But, one doesn't come here to save money, they come here because it happens to be right here. I wish there were more ABC Stores on the mainland. read more

i've been to plenty of ABC Stores in Waikiki, but this one is special. Until I visited this store, i have never been to an ABC Store that serves how food like a deli. We went on Friday and it was local food day. They had a large selection of prepackaged hot food from eggs with spam and rice to loco moco. For a little bit more, you can have a hot meal prepared in their kitchen. The best part is that you can walk across the street then eat your hot lunch on the beautiful beaches of Hawaii. read more

well what's not to love about the ABC store. We saved so much money on our vacation by going to this place. I will give you 3 examples how we saved lots of money; 1-We were staying the Wailea Marriott, where everything is expensive. if you want to rent snorkeling gear at the hotel they will charge you $18 per day. So we went to the ABC store and i bought better snorkeling gear for $25. 2-The hotel changes $30 per day for a beach umbrella, you can buy one here for $20. 3-We also bought stuff for breakfast and keep it in the refrigerator in the hotel room because breakfast at the hotel was about $20 per person. Also if you go to ABC try your best to buy local products and help support Maui's small businesses. read more

The best ABC store on the island. It smells of tanning lotion, tropical flowers, rainbows and unicorns. Our condo is located a block away so we are constantly stopping in for beach toddies, brewskis, water, Skittles and perhaps a hula doll on the way to Hana. You will never wait in line at an ABC store. One of the many employees will gladly open another register and give you a friendly "aloha, mahalo" as they try to add a bag of coconut M&M's to your purchase (go ahead, get some. They're amazing). They sell everything. It's a tourist's one-stop shop store. From clothes to Hawaiian salad bowls. They sell everything you need. The prices are okay too. I bought all the chocolate covered Macadmian nuts and Kona coffee here to take back home as gifts. The only bad thing, or I should say funny thing now, that I remember about this place is when my silly bf was playing around with those handheld fans and got a big chunk of my hair caught in it. 3 stars overall because my pineapple chunks were not Hawaii quality. The musubi and the hamburger patty meal were truck stop food quality, I do like the variety of their gift and trinket items. These little store's are an equivalent to a 7 eleven or a plaid pantry like we have on the main land. They can totally be a life saver, cause they stay open late and carry just about everything too. OMG I wish we had these convenient stores in Seattle (where I'm from). The stores are clean, well organized and stocked full of supplies I actually want and not just the typical name brands. Hands down, best ABC store on Maui. We affectionately call it The Mothership because it is the grandest of all ABC's and our 'go to' when we're at our condo. The deli and food to order counter is amazing! Breakfast, hot foods, Sandwiches, salads, fresh fruit, yogurt parfaits, all slap yo mouth fresh. Tourist trap. The prices are a huge mark up. The Maui Gold pineapple, a local favorite, was 3 times the price it is elsewhere. Go to Foodland just down the road. You will see locals shopping there.
