What better than 7-11? Well, on Oahu, this is probably the best spot to find those on-demand things that you either forgot, crave, and just want. This is one of two ABC Stores that I almost always visit when in town given that it's just around the corner from the hotel that I normally stay. They are definitely geared for tourists, after all, are there any ABC Stores outside of Waikiki (besides Vegas, other islands, Guam, and Saipan)?! You can guess who the target audience is. Here's a brief chronology of my purchase history with them: '70's - beachmats, sodas and drinks, gift t-shirts, and sun tan lotion '80's - beachmats, sodas and drinks (alcohol and non), sun tan lotion '90's - beachmats, sodas and drinks, chips and nuts, gift items for mainland friends and relatives, and sun screen '00's - sodas and drinks, snacks (health and not), and gift items for family and friends 10's - sodas and drinks, water, healthy snacks, and gift items for the family and friends I think you get the picture. They carry incidentals like toothpaste, shavers, shampoo, etc. that you may forgot to pack. The nice perk of this location is that they have a deli section with hot food in case your flight is delayed and all hotel food options are closed. Some working locals stop here also to get a bite or drinks or those 'honey, we need this' things that spouses may request before their shift ends. My last visit was in January 2020 so it remains to be seen when I'll shop here again. Take care and be safe! read more

ABC stores are a chain of convenience stores in Hawaii. They're everywhere. If you're in Waikiki, you're almost guaranteed to be within 2 blocks of an ABC store. They're convenient. They have almost everything a visitor could want. Do they have the best prices? Well, no. You can find lower prices in downtown Honolulu, but that's not as close. This particular ABC has more food options than most. Lots of freshly made stuff. read more

If you're not familiar with ABC, you're in for a treat. ABC in Hawaii has absolutely everything you need. Everything. Sunscreen? They have it. Pool floaties? They got you. Hungry? They've an entire kitchen back there (at this location). This is one of the best and biggest and it's basically in the lobby of the Imperial Hawaiian Resort. I hella loved the convenience of the ABC stores every couple of blocks in Honolulu. This location on Waikiki was by far my fave. They have errrything you need. Food, drinks, clothes. A one stop shop, indeed. You need a face mask? They got it. Hawaiian shirt? They got it. Snorkel gear? They got it. Hot food? Drinks? Gifts? Fedora hat? Umbrella because the rentals on the beach are expensive? Oh they got it. The first time I came here, I was overwhelmed by the selection of things they had. The best convenience store, ever. I initially forgot to pack earrings for my trip and I hated having my ears bare. My main goal was to find a pair of silver studs. They had a great selection of earrings and jewelry to choose from. I browsed the rotating jewelry stands to see if any earrings tickled my fancy. I came across turtle studs that was perfect. Cute, small and dainty. Reasonably priced. My favorite part of the store was the cutesy/kawaii section of hello kitty, gudetama, and doraemon merch; exclusive to their store. I wanted everything! I'm a big sucker for Sanrio and kawaii stuff. Especially plushies and trinkets. They had keychains, notebooks, sticky pads, lunch bags, but they were a bit pricey. I ended up treating myself to one doraemon plush keychain. Aside from jewelry and cutesy stuff you can get a variety of snacks and treats: chips, cookies, candy, macadamia nuts, chocolates, coffee, etc. There's plenty of souvenirs to choose from as well. Cups, keychains, magnets and thensome. If you spend a certain amount and save your receipts, you can get free gifts! If you're looking for hot food, there's a big section in the back. They sell musubis, bento boxes, sandwiches, loco moco, hot dogs and even burgers. They have a big drink selection were you can get your bottled waters, sodas, teas and booze. Overall, this ABC store was the best one I came across. It was fully stocked, not too far from the beach and the employees were helpful and nice. Every time I come to Hawaii, no matter which island, the first thing I do is look for an ABC store. Everyday I would come to this store 3-4 times. Be it souvenir tshirts, gift soaps, water, alcohol, fresh Hawaiian fruit, and tons of other items. Prices are very reasonable. This is true for ABC stores in Vegas too. The got-it-all stores all over Waikiki, been to several ABC stores, but this location was the biggest one I've seen. Located in a busy area with every square foot jam packed with everything you can imagine. If going to an ABC store to shop and browse, might as well go to this one and find everything you would ever need from an ABC store. If you are going for a quick grab of something you have in mind, maybe a different location will be better with less people. Dropped in to buy some Hi Chews for friend's request, had hard time finding the lilikoi & pineapple flavors they wanted that's 2 packs for $20. But found the special at the end of one of the aisle displays, whew! With so many people roaming around and the long line to check out, even we had to get a 2 pack for ourselves, lol! 4 packs of Hi Chews weighed quite a lot! Never bought $40+ worth of candies before, but I guess these chews were indeed very good. Wife and kid probably went through them daily while driving around, then finished the rest shortly after returning home. Since they are dense, maybe it's a good thing you eat a bunch while in Hawaii, so you don't have to carry all that weight back and go over the 50lb baggage limit, LOL! read more

ABC, What a great and easy business name to remember. I really love this ABC store which I frequent so often during my one week staycation back in November 2020, I stopped by here almost every day for water, alcohol and snacks. I bought the 2 liter bottle of water for .99 and I even sent my big kids down to grab their own water, what a deal considering we are in Waikiki. I also got a chance to try some of the new and different Seltzer ABC store has (I am a Seltzer fanatic!) Super convenient location located at The front of Imperial Hawaii Resort. When I first stepped foot at this ABC Store, I was super impressed, thinking am I at the right place, this places reminds me of Foodland ( when you walk to the back of the store) I think this is the best one in Waikiki, ( my opinion) This location has a full deli, and surprised to see they have a daily specials and even saw a Thanksgiving meal set special, lots of liquor selection, grocery items, gifts, souvenirs and so much more! The store is so nice, colorful and very organized. I can't wait to stop here when I am in Waikiki or on my next stay-cation again. The store is conveniently located in the heart of condos and hotels in Waikiki. We usually love ABC stores as they carry a wide variety of souvenirs and food. We went to this ABC store several times during our stay in Waikiki. The prices at ABC are usually reasonable but this location is really expensive. I guess it is just Waikiki. The reason for 1 star at this location is that the cashiers are incredibly rude. If they hate their job so much, maybe they should find a different one. There is no reason to take your anger out on the customer. read more

There are abc stores and then there are *A*B*C* stores! All ABC stores are not created equal, even though there is practically one on every block in Waikiki. They are more numerous than Starbucks and 7-11's back home. This one downstairs from the Imperial Hawaii hotel and across the street from our hotel is the biggest one I've ever seen! If you need to bring home Hawaiian shirts for the whole family, a solar powered hula girl (or guy), a grass hula skirt or a new muumuu, this is the place for you. As touristy as it gets, you can get all the macadamia nuts you can carry. Apart from the usual souvenirs and t-shirts, there is a food counter in the back where you can order full meals or grab a quick sandwich or a cup of coffee. They open until midnight and even at 9pm, they were wheeling out fresh made sandwiches. Hankering for a spam musubi or a late-night loco moco? ABC's got you covered. My son must have really enjoyed his Loco Moco because he didn't save me any! On vacation, my wife always buys too many souvenirs for everybody back home and this time was no exception. We thought about shipping it home, but FedEx to the mainland was $160, Yikers! So it was ABC to the rescue, as we bought a $25 rolling expandable bag and checked it in as extra luggage. Those 40lbs of t-shirts and macadamia nuts just got more expensive, but at least ABC saved us $100 in shipping cost. Thanks, ABC! read more

If you're staying in Waikiki these are a great one stop shop for anything you could need. It can get a little pricey, but they're so conveniently placed it's worth it for last minute forgotten essentials or a quick snack. Some of them have hot food stations that are quite good. You can get cheaper souvenirs at the aloha stadium swap meet or at Walmart, but again... there's something to be said for the convenience and consistency of ABC stores read more

This is my favorite ABC store with a deli in the back that cooks steaks and full dinners. It's so delicious and there are so many choices. I come here a lot and my only regret is that they changed the epic and so ono delicious salt and vinegar chicken wings to a breaded version. It is not very good, when you get it to go it ends up chewy or very hard and though the breaded might be right for the fried chicken breast, it's not for the wings. They took something they had perfected and ruined it. I hope they go back to the original version soon. Please!!! read more

we went to many different ABC stores in town....but this one is my favorite. why you ask...well the #1 reason is that they have a deli in back (actually a full cafeteria style restaurant). omg...the food is amazing and so much more affordable than going to restaurants. they have 2 tables if you want to stay and eat...but everything is packaged to go so perfect to take to the beach or back to your hotel room or to the nearby park. the store is also quite large in comparison to the other stores. i wish we had found this ABC store on day 1 or even day 2....now i know (and so do you) read more

ABC stores in Hawaii has always been a staple for the visitors to the islands. Inexpensive souvenirs to quick grab and go snacks and drinks are always available and the selection is very good. In this period of the pandemic shutdown, many of the ABC stores have been shut down and some appear to be permanently but there are still a few stores located in the major areas such as along Beachwalk avenue and the main roadways of Kalakaua and Kuhio avenues. The employees are always typically friendly and I can imagine visitors spending a lot of time browsing through all of the Hawaiian items. Some of the ABC's also have a deli and you can get sandwiches to full hot meals at these locations. read more

This ABC store is huge!! Compared to the other ones I visited, this was the only one I knew of that included a whole section for food (poke, NY steak plates, fried chicken) and DOLE WHIP Not to mention that I believe it closes later than some of the other stores closer to where I stayed. I saw her in the distance. Her brown skin reflected the bright lights like a star. So beautiful. I couldn't approach her now in my disheveled state after a long day. I came back at 7am the next day after I got myself cleaned up. I approached her and after some flirtations I brought her back to my room. Her scent was of spices from the American south. As I got closer I lost myself in the delicious scent. Brown skin was textured a bit like corn meal batter. First bite was magical. Crunchy skin blended with soft flesh. Flavor was like homemade fried chicken you get in your local diner. The good diner. The one where the cook takes pride in the food and wants to create something delicious like mom use to make. I'll be back to visit again at 7am when the fried chicken is fresh out of the fryer. :-) read more

THIS IS THE BEST ABC store in all of Waikiki, hands down, 100 stars if I could give it that. Why? Because there's a deli hidden in the back. This ABC store is adjacent to the Imperial Hawaii Resort. I am loving the deli and I went there at least 3-4x every day to get liters of bottled water, snacks, spam musubi, deli sandwiches, sushi, loco moco bowls, hot meals, and the cheapest dole whip on the island, only at $3.99, you just get the cup on the side of the machine, swirl and fill that buggah up and up! I did! Sometimes at the end of the day, the little hot foods are 20% off, even sushi! Whenever I've gone in, the staff here always greets you and are super friendly. I even dropped my coffee at the entrance and they allowed me to get another one at no cost. Remember to save all those receipts to get a free mug or calendar or a cute reusable bag! I'll definitely stay at a hotel next to this location the next time I visit because it's the best and the prices can't be beat. They even have a microwave oven inside the store and AFTER you pay for the foods, you can heat up the cold food entrees. read more

They're everywhere and convenient! This particular shop is just across from the beach and ever-so-popular Outrigger Hotel. It's really huge and offers such a variety of goods to bring back home. On today's visit, the small cans of Maui onion and garlic flavored macadamia nuts caught my attention at the entrance. I looked up and was quickly sucked into walking through the entire store. T-shirts on my right, booze on my left, fresh fruit straight away! Forgot to purchase a gift for your BFF on the mainland? They also sell magnets, floral hair clips, and Hello Kitty cuteness. If you're hungry, they prepare hot meals in the very back and offer pre packed salads to go. If you're headed to the beach, they sell sunscreen and beach towels. All at a very reasonable price. They sell almost everything Hawaiians related from keychains, postcards, magnets, shirts, dresses, beach towels, etc. They also sell drinks and foods as well as essentials but it's a little more expensive. The prices are decent for souvenirs. There is an ABC store on every corner, if you continue to go down the block, there is another ABC store that I think is bigger than this one. Overall, not impressed with the ABC stores that are so ubiquitous throughout Waikiki Beach. Seems like they have a monopoly for C-stores in Honolulu. Case in point, Greek yogurt. Each time we stay in Waikiki we always come to this ABC store for their deli breakfast and daily specials. We first found out that ABC has a deli section when we rated at Grand Wailea on Maui and were hunting for reasonable meal options. Tried the Corned Beef Hash Moco ($7.99) for the first time and was hooked ever since. We also enjoy their New York Steak ($9.99).
