Love. Love. Love them!…read more Those who know... know! Catfish Friday? Oh yeah! Fantastic! Plus all the sides and fixens you could asl for. A great salad setup, usually some bangin' dessert to go with, it's a fat mans fave, I tell ya!

Buyer Beware - I GOT RIPPED OFF BY THESE PEOPLE!…read more I booked an event with Ft. Eustis Club for November 2024. The first rip off was, the contract details they sent me gave a price for 4 hour booking windows. When I made the reservations I was verbally told it was only 3 hours. Second, all the while I was working with the Manager (her name is Azeb) I never, not once, mentioned anything about a 'cash bar' - what I wanted, and all I EVER mentioned was an OPEN BAR for our gests. Azeb also said that I would need to put $400 up front and the total cost of all drinks would be subtracted from that $400. It wasn't until I arrived along with all 50 of my guests that I Azeb informed me that the $400 deposit was for the bar SET UP and BREAK DOWN fee only. Ok, it does NOT cost $400 to setup and break down a bar for 50 people so that's the second RIP OFF! Third, rather than standing there arguing with Azeb over the phone while my guests were seating themselves, Azeb suggested that to get around the having my guest pay for each drink I could give the bar tender my credit card and he would tally up the drinks at the end. So during the course of the party (3 hours) there were maybe 15 of the 50 guest drinking adult beverages. The bar tender hands me the bar tab at the end of the event and it totaled a whopping $488! Are you freakin' serious? 15 people can't possibly drink $488 worth of alcohol in 3 hours. I called Azeb first thing that Monday morning to discuss this with her and all she did was argue about how wrong I was. She didn't believe a thing I had to say and she would NOT lift a single finger to even look into the bar tab situation nor would she return my call as she promised. So at the end of the day I ended up paying a total of $888 for a 3 hour bar. If I had known all this before hand, I would've ask my guest to BYOB. I would HIGHLY recommend you save yourself the headaches of dealing with Azeb and the Ft. Eustis Club. Book someplace else!

Even the ride there set the tone it was scenic & peaceful, and full of wide-open fields that felt like a refreshing change. It was the kind of drive that makes you slow down and just enjoy the moment. Once we arrived, the winery itself was stunning bold, beautiful. The wine selection was impressive, and I loved getting to explore different flavors. I figured out which wines I enjoy most, which ones aren't for me, and felt like I had a truly immersive first-time tasting experience. The staff at Summer Wind were amazing knowledgeable, friendly, and patient in answering my questions. Although I didn't get to order food this time, I saw plates coming out of the kitchen that looked absolutely delicious, so that's definitely on my list for next visit. I enjoyed myself so much that I'd love to make this a yearly tradition around this time of year. Summer Wind Winery gave me not just great wine, but a great memory, and I'll absolutely be back.

She has seen weddings, receptions, birthdays, proms, quenceneras, baby showers, bridal showers, engagement announcements, rehearsals, bridal shows, retirement parties, dinner parties, public and private Teas, Holiday parties, business meetings, celebrations of life, fund raising events and even political rallies. The house was originally built in 1770 by William Walthall and passed down to his daughters, Polly and Susannah (our purported ghost), then sold to a Doctor Anderson who extended the front of the house in the 1830s. Later, he sold it to a Doctor Friend who resided there when she would serve as a civil war hospital. Sold again, yet to another doctor, Dr. Thomas Cheatham, the house grew again to form a “T” shaped structure. After his death, the home would fall into severe disrepair only to be restored in the 1930s and named Wrexham. The Hague family lived there and maintained what became a “mansion” in the 1960s when it was added to once again. The new addition begged for an upgraded name, which is the now, Wrexham Hall. Sold to Judge Gates in the 1970s, he would sell it and have it moved to its current location. The last addition was made by the Brennan family, an event room that would serve many for years to come. Now owned by Greg and Carol Marion. She is still an event space as well as a Bed and Breakfast. Come Enjoy

This is the second time we ( my wife and I ) have visited this establishment, the first for a wedding party and last night was a birthday dinner party. I would recommend renting this place out, there's plenty of space to move around with plenty of parking out front as well as the back of the building.

Spacious, plenty of parking and everyone in attendance (wedding reception) raved about how they loved the venue too. I am not sure how long this venue has been in existence, but I travel nearby all the time and had no clue it existed. Well now I am in the know, and I will definitely keep it in mind when deciding on venues from a variety of upcoming events. I am not sure if the venue provides food/beverage, but they do allow one to bring in food and beverages... which is a plus. Looks like the office hours for this place is daily except Sunday... open until 3pm if you have questions or concerns. So if you're thinking about a venue to house/seat 200 guests or less consider this place. Have fun and enjoy life :)
