I took my Prius there to have the stolen catalytic converter replaced. They kept it for over two weeks, charged my insurance over $3,000, hit my car with something that pushed a side panel out and when I finally got it back asked for $100 because that was my deductible (could have forgiven it). My friend had her catalytic converter in her Prius stolen the same night-go figure. She got her car back the next day and it was half the price. Plus, nobody hit her car. Today I had a synthetic oil change for my 2010 Toyota at Abe's Auto Repair. I was able to make an appointment the day before and when I arrived he took my car in promptly. The service was completed quickly, in about 20 min. The cost of my synthetic oil change was among the lowest in the valley and the service was professional and efficient. I truly don't like to write negative reviews, specially, if it is Armenian owned business. however, charging me $145 for a hose that costs $68. $350 for a radiator flush that costs $150-$200 elsewhere. I did not get an estimate upfront but I paid up $800 for a job that should have cost maximum$500. I did not want to argue further because a thief is a thief and he rips off fellow Armenians. I hope you choke on that extra $400. read more

Somehow my review I left a few months back has magically disappeared. I would NEVER recommend coming here. I paid this man $700 to fix my car. He had my car in his shop for 11 days. I drive it home and TWO days later the same problem got even worse so I drove it back to him to look at it again and while looking at it, he snapped my timing belt in front of me while revving my car in neutral. After he did that, my car would not even turn on. I had to leave it there at the shop and wait another 2 weeks before he could even look at it. After 3 weeks he called and said he can't fix it and I'll need to take it to a dealership. At this point I'm across the country with my family for Christmas break and I call a towing company to bring it back to my house. He didn't close my sun roof or even put a tarp over it in the rainiest week in LA and he let my car interior get DESTROYED in the rain. Don't ever come here. Seriously. read more

Abe is an excellent mechanic but before that I have to say he is a gentleman and very professional. I took my car in for a front break pads to be changed and Abe looked at my rear pads and was honest and told me I just need front pads. Price was more than fair, even with paying for Lyft to go home and come back to pick up the car. Abe is a very kind person who gets it. I serviced my car with him twice and was always a satisfied with the service. Once I did smog which went through very smooth. Excellent, Affordable, and Speedy Service Abe worked on my 93' lexus. The drivers side door handle was not opening and Abe did a wonderful job of fixing it. He did not charge me for a quote and returned my car within 24 hours which was nice. Abe also fixed an issue with the window machinery that I was unaware about and reattached the interior door handle which was broken as well. He didn't charge me for this which I found to be awesome. I know they said this about Lincoln, but this Abe is honest too! My brother and his family has been going here for YEARS and constantly sending friends to Abe, all with glowing reviews. I needed new brakes this past spring and he offered me the choice of a little cheaper option that may wear out sooner, or a little more expensive option that were better quality. I went with the latter and he had my car done quickly and efficiently. Today I went to him for a second opinion when the dealership (closer to my home) was telling me I needed a $1,200 repair. He checked it out and told me "Nope. There's absolutely no issue where they say there is". Seriously? I was shocked, incensed (basically needed restraint ) that the dealer was THAT unscrupulous and vile. Never again! I'm coming to Abe for EVERYTHING from now on and you should too. read more

I spent 3 months trying to get my 2001 Chevy Silverado to pass the smog test. I've had the truck for 20 years and have never had a problem passing the smog test. I put over 1,000 miles on it. I took it to my mechanic and the Chevy dealership several times. Spent over $500. I took everyones advise on what to do. Finally I took the truck to Abe's Auto Repair Center. I can't stress enough what a great mechanic Abe is! I just dropped my car off to get an oil change, and I mentioned to him how I've been noticing my brake lights have been staying on even when I'm not pressing them, and how it's been driving me crazy. He asks me a couple questions, grabs a couple tools, and crawls under the dash in my Jeep Wrangler (there's not much room under there at all) and in a few minutes fixes the problem, and then tells me it's on the house! I was blown away. Any mechanic could have just said "leave it with me I'll look at it" and could have charged me an extra $100 to fix that but he just did it right there in front of me. This is my new favorite place. I needed an oil change at 4pm & went to several places telling me they were unavailable for appointments because they were about to close. Not only did Abe's take me in but they warned me of a potentially unsafe issue with my brakes. They showed me physically and I felt no pressure to buy anything. I paid $60 for an oil change but there was a $45 option for my vehicle, too. I chose the full synthetic oil that costs more. Some cars can be done for as little as $21.99 the sign reads. Had terrible experience here second time around. I paid to have a/c repaired and when I got my car back a/c did work for about one week. I returned and was told it's going to cost extra on top of the $300 I already paid to do a leak check and fix leak. So I basically paid $300 dollars to add $20 worth of refrigerant that I could have done myself. When I told Abe this all he could say was there's nothing he could do.
