My car was broken into in an attempt to steal it but they were unsuccessful; I called Adrian ad explained the issues, which included the ignition switch replacement and window replacement and Adrian took my car in the same day I called and was able to order the parts needed that same day. So last night, on my way home, I heard my car making a weird noise (flappity-flap flappity-flap). I determined that it's not a flat tire, and it wasn't affecting the car's performance/ride so I kept driving. So first thing this morning, I took my car to Adrian (without an appointment!) for him to check it out. He said that the ABS brake line (I think that's what he said) had become unclipped and it was hitting my tire, hence the flappity-flap noise. It took him about 25 min. to diagnose the problem and fix it. The cost: FREE!!! For 25 min. of his time! Seriously, who does that these days? Especially a car mechanic?!?!?!? We brought in our 89 Aeromate/Ice Cream Truck thinking we had transmission issues due to super loud clanking noises. Adrian has always been super helpful and very honest with his diagnosis, and pricing for all cars that ive brought in and drove away happy with. They were extremely professional, and they got my parts ordered real quick. Firstly, I rarely write reviews. It's normally only when I feel very passionately (be it negatively or positively) about a product or service. It just takes too much time. That being said...onwards. When it comes to finding a good mechanic, I'm always a little cautious. And not without reason. I'm sure we've all heard our fair share of horror stories about how someone was overcharged or ill informed about non-existant problems with their cars. Or even worse, receiving a poor fix for a problem that re-emerged only a couple days later. After all, I'm putting my trust in someone I don't know with something I know very little about. If the mechanic says, "Hey you'll need to replace that axel very soon or you'll run into serious problems", you can bet I'll pay up and do that fix. But how do we know that we are really being told the truth? My point: Honestly is the number one thing I look for in a mechanic. Adrian genuinely cares about your car and that you leave his shop with any and all issues addressed. In fact, when I came here for an oil change, he noticed my tire pressure was low and fixed that for me. He doesn't screw you to make a few more bucks off you. Often times, he'll correct me with services that I thought I needed. "Oh you don't need that to be fixed" or "I can order that part but it'll be way more expensive than if you pick one up off a junkyard" My point again? Honesty. And the reason I have been coming here the last couple years. Another thing I should mention: He doesn't hustle you out of his shop after a fix. He is more than happy to give you suggestions on your car, be it upgrades or new tires. Very friendly and more than willing to have another look at your car if things don't work out a few days later.
