I too was referred to Ability Access by my home warranty for a faulty hot water heater. I couldn't have been more pleased with this company. They called me right away and was able to come out that afternoon. I needed a new unit.They were out the next day and installed a new one and brought it up to code. Don't use this company . They work with American Home Shield to make up the difference American Home Shield don't pay them. They will add some crazy modifications to your bill since warranties don't cover for modifications American Home Shield allows them to write any kind of amount for modifications since they don't cover for it. they charge their customers. Awful company. They were the company my home warranty insurance, American Home Shield, selected to diagnose and repair our water heater that had burst. They came a few days after contact and they determined it had to be replaced. Then they told us our out if pocket cost would be $605. They tried to pressure us to authorize it. After speaking with our warranty company they concerred with the cost. Calling Ability access they then said the cost was $655. They showed up for the service and the cost was $680. And they wanted it upfront before work was to be started. DH got suspicious and called our warranty company. They determined that or out of pocket cost was actually $355. Ability access then argued with the agent at American Home Shield demanding the whole $655 then changed to $680. After he had his epic argument the agent at American Home Shield they were submitting this company to the department to terminate referrals. They also advised us to never use them again. Awful thug like bullies. And we still have no hot water. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY !!! I called them for a service they worked on for me through my home warranty,after they left they didn't put my drain assembly back on correctly the lever was not working . After calling the lady who answered the phone, they said to call the home warreny back to reschedule I explained that the plumber didn't install the hard ware back correctly an that the lever was jammed.they then said they were going to have me talk to a manager but it was a conference call with multiple people including the service tech an manager who argued they wouldnt come back to fix the problem they broke an that they wanted me to lie an say it was the existing problem not the drain lever so they can get payed to come back out . No accountability for fixing something they broke an no customer service at all to fix the problem they gave me. in the end I had to have my insurance company send out a different plumber to fix the screw up ..this company is a joke all they had to do is come back take 15 minutes to fix the job they messed up but choose to argue an not help me I would not recommend this company!!!! read more

I wish that I had looked at Yelp before allowing my home warranty company (not happy with Old Republic either) dispatch Ability Access Plumbing to my home. They said there was one hot water leak even though we told them there were multiple hot spots in the house. After they supposedly fixed the leak by tearing up our tile and concrete, we noticed the very next day that our water meter was still spinning. When we notified them, they came out again and said that there was another leak and it was brand new. They would have to charge us to fix another slab leak. We had the option of rerouting pipes for 8,000+. That would be on top of the $1,120 they already charged not to mention the cost of new tiles (not covered). I feel like I've been scammed or the victim of incompetence. read more

I had used them threw my home warranty Old Republic almost 2 years ago, they laid plumbing in my kitchen. When I used dishwasher I would hear a sand noise when certain cycles were going. Fast foward 2 weeks ago my dishwasher man comes out and tell me there are bolts and screws in my plumbing line. I called them to let them know and they stated I would have to pay a service fee..Never again. read more

Im not one to leave negative reviews but damn I wish I could leave ZERO stars! My water heater went out and these guys came out to quote and I knew I would have some out of pocket costs but this guy went and gave his estimate to my warranty company which totaled close to $1000 of out of pocket costs which included some BS so called modifications that needed to be done in order to be "up to code" according to him. I questioned him on a few items that seemed odd to me but he said I needed them. I told the warranty company I wanted a second opinion so they sent another company out and I asked on all the items I was told needed to be done and they were all made up only to make some cash off of me!! This other company removed and installed my new unit with a couple modifications that came out to not even $300!!! This guys from Ability Access Plumbing are just out to rip you off!! I would never recommend them nor will I ever have them out to my property again!!! read more

My hot water heater stopped working so I called my insurance company and they sent out Ability Access Plumbing and Rooter. They did showed up on time and only looked at the water heater and just said you need a new one. I have insurance for the repairs however they stated that many of their items they had to do were called modification which the insurance would not cover. Yes they only want to make money (example $45 to move two straps up 4 inches, $95 to install two flex supplies lines, $75 for a ground wire and $55 for spacers which was two boards screwed to the wall.) They did put in a brand new water heater however it didn't work. I called them the next morning (Friday) and they said to call my insurance company to request a call back. I did and they said they would come out on Monday. Well Monday morning they called and said they were not going to come and that I had to call the manufacturer to have them fix it. They wouldn't stand behind their work. I call another plumbing company when they arrived they fixed it in 15 minutes. The upper heating eliminate was burned up because Ability Access Plumbing and Rooter turned on the power to the water heater before the tank was full of water which fried the heating eliminate. Very bad company to do business with. I recommend that you stay away from them unless you want to loose money. read more
