Process is done. It's been a few days. I'm sure everything will hold up in the summer time. We got our new hvac unit set up. The guys were all so respectful. My warranty company set me up with Econo Air because I was not getting air flow through 2 vents in my house. They came out July 29th. Anthony looked through everything, he was kind, and explained everything I needed to know about the filters and the ducts. He was the best part of this experience, however it was the worst and continues to be. Anthony said the ducts were good, but the issue we had was that our unit wasn't powerful enough to cool the house, the house was built with a 2 ton unit, and we needed a 5. He explained that we could have a second thermostat placed and have the 2 levels blocked off which would improve the flow. He placed more Freon in the unit as he said it was getting low. For a temporary solution, we manually closed vents in rooms that were rarely used, and we actually noticed air flow through upstairs vents, it was great! For 4 days. Then we started having heat flow through the vents, even setting it to 72 or lower, nothing but heat blew out. This had never been an issue prior. We also figured until we could get a 5 ton unit placed, we were okay with 2 rooms not filling off. We'd survived 6 years with it, what's another summer, right... I called my warranty company again, they set up for Econo Air to come back. I got a call at 8:30AM on the 10th and was told that they had a tech who could come out within 30 minutes, I had to call back and cancel this within 5 minutes because I'd received a call that a family member passed, and I had to leave, so I wouldn't be here. The office lady said she had an appointment for the 11th from 1-5, so it was booked. As I was leaving the tech showed up, I had to explain to him why he couldn't look at the unit and that I had another appointment scheduled for the following day. Forward to 1 o'clock today. I waited for the tech. I finally got tired of waiting and called them at 4.15. No answer. I called about 5 times within the hour and finally at 4:59, they answer. Office lady said that Anthony was scheduled but she had to call him to find out what happened as he had missed a lot of appointments today. On the 10th I had a friend come over and check the levels of my Freon as I had assumed that was why I had airflow yet no cold air. He said the Freon levels were ok, but my compressor was leaking oil and completely dead, it was rusted. Funny how econo air never mentioned that one. I finally get a call back at 5:17 and they said the tech has 4 additional jobs ahead of mine, and said that they wouldn't be able to repair it anyway without the warranty company approving it and then getting the parts. The part is an air compressor. So I'd be without AC to my house for another week, possibly 2 while they get the warranty settled. I decided that it wasn't worth it, I live in the Central Valley, temps are spiking well over 100 degrees, and I've already been without AC since August 4th. As a mother of 5 kids, one who has medical issues where heat causes her to be violently ill, I'm very disappointed with a business that cannot handle their own. My advice, call someone else. Econo Air isn't reliable, they aren't consistent, and they're not good with schedules. read more

Where do I begin about this company econo air i'm telling you right now if you have any issues with air conditioning heating plumbing I really recommend you call them. The review that i'm giving them is earned and this company is the best. They follow through from what they're going to say andy arrive when they Say they are going to and if there is a delay they call. They're employees are awesome they worked hard until they are comple we done they take no breaks or anything until they're almost done. They're very professional when they arrive they explain things very well. And speaking to the office manager joyce now she's amazing. Yes at times she's overwhelmed because she's that good. I had a whole new unit put in from my heating and air conditioning and they did a wonderful job. They also clean up their mess and I mean they clean good. My original appointment was for 2-6 but I recieved a call saying they could come earlier which was awesome during this heat wave. Steven showed up,diagnosed the problem and immediately began the repair process. When we found we needed to replace our roof unit, we started getting bids. Econo-Air wasn't the cheapest, but the laundry list of what they said needed done was extensive, completely needed and included in the price. They came in, changed out my 40 year old unit and then proceeded to upgrade/seal my duct work that had never been sealed. They crossed all the "T's" and dotted all the "I's". They addressed all of my concerns and also some I hadn't thought of. I am a mechanic and I am critical of myself and my customer service that I offer. I hold the people I use to that same standard. Econo-Air are the honest ones that you need working on your heating and air conditioning if that need arises. Their knowledge/professionalism/customer service is worth every penny and more! My home warranty company assigned this company to fix an issue I was having with my heater. The initial appointment went off without a hitch but the following appointment to actually install the piece we were waiting on for about a month was when my problems started. I was scheduled to have a technician come out on Friday between 11am - 1pm. I waited around and after not showing at 1pm and no phone call, I had to leave. After 2pm when I called to see why they never showed up the person proceeds to say oh the technician is on the way now. No, I'm not available now so she proceeded to reschedule. NEVER ONCE saying we apologize for not letting you know she just jumped in to saying we can reschedule. I reschedule for Monday morning and she gives me a timeframe of 8:00am. - 10am or some window like that. I tell her that works. Monday, I'm up waiting and no show no call. I call and leave messages, nothing. I contact my home warranty, they call no answer. This morning, Tuesday, I'm not home but I see on my ring that Ecno Air is at my door.????? I contact Econo Air and Joyce answers the phone. I tell her there is a technician at my door but my appointment was yesterday and I get no call from them explaining anything and I'm not available today. Joyce proceeds to say yea well lets reschedule. (RUDE) At this point, she gives me no explanation as to why they no showed or called yesterday she continues to talk over me and dismiss me like my time isn't important. I get that things happend, but as a customer I don't appreciate Econo Air not respecting my time. I don't appreciate the dismissive attitude from Joyce who never bothered to apologize. You could tell she just wanted to schedule the appointment and get me off the phone (AGAIN, RUDE). She finally tells me that they were down yesterday and contacted the home warranty company at 5:00am. TODAY. That doesn't help me at all. Then she says ma'am you're angry and I haven't called anyone from yesterday its only 8:00am. I'm aware of the time, and yes I'm angry because you continue to talk over me and you don't want to acknowledge that you should take accountability instead of trying to rush me off the telephone. We proceeded to reschedule the appointment for this Friday. I need Econo Air to train their employees on professionalism and how to talk to customers. Joyce's behavior is not acceptable and talking over customers who are already upset is not the way to handle a situation. You do NOT, try to rush an already upset customer off the phone nor should you talk over them and be dismissive of their feelings. Joyce failed to accept any accountability and continued to be dismissive of my time as a customer. read more

Joe, the technician, was courteous and completed. When you're AC goes out unexpectedly, you tend to be in a bad mood. Joe was patient. He replaced the capacitor and had the AC running again within 15 minutes. He went above and beyond by also completing a courtesy wash down of the AC unit to dislodge debris in the AC unit.
