Worst ran company and customer service Ive seen in a long time. I called and requested to speak with my technician about weeds in my yard. He never returned my call Arbornomics sent a tech out and treat Ed my yard for disease and charged me $200 bucks that was never approved. Sent an email to them cancelling my service and they kept showing up to spray my yard. Called and spoke with a finance rep to pay my balance and was told I didn't have a balance. However I kept getting calls and emails about declined payment on a service I cancelled several times. Unbelievable! read more

I've been using Arbor-Nomics for years, but unfortunately, the service has gone downhill significantly since the company was bought out about two years ago. You're no longer assigned a specific technician, so you get whoever happens to be assigned to your property. Communication has also become extremely frustrating. It took approximately six phone calls just to get my bill corrected to the price I was originally quoted. Even more disappointing is the actual lawn care. My lawn now has more weeds than I've ever had while using this company. After years of being a customer, I expected much better. Based on my experience, I can no longer recommend Arbor-Nomics. I'm going to be looking for another lawn care company that provides consistent service, communicates with its customers, and actually delivers results. read more

I've never had a problem with my lawn before using Arbor-Nomics. My grass has always been green, healthy, and full, and I even have photos from previous years to prove it. I met one of their technicians and figured it couldn't hurt to see if they could make it look even better. That turned out to be a huge mistake. They destroyed my lawn and management could'nt care less about it. This year, after their treatments, my yard is roughly 50% dead and now full of weeds -- despite paying for a fertilizing and weed-control treatment specifically intended to prevent exactly that. The results were the complete opposite of what was promised. I gave Arbor-Nomics every opportunity to make this right. It took over a month for anyone in management to seriously respond to my concerns. During that time, I had to call six separate times just to get someone to follow up. I also replied to customer service emails that took nearly two weeks to receive responses to. To be fair, everyone I spoke to directly on the phone was polite and professional. Only a manger tried to explain away the issue without even seeing my yard. The issue is clearly with management and lack of accountability. Every employee said they would "pass the message up," but apparently no one in leadership cared enough to call me back in a reasonable timeframe. When they finally did respond, instead of taking responsibility, they simply sprayed for weeds again and suggested I "might have soil issues." Interesting, considering I've never had soil issues before, none of my neighbors have soil issues, and the only lawn on the street struggling this badly is the one Arbor-Nomics treated. At the end of the day, I paid them to improve my lawn and instead ended up with a dead, weed-filled yard and weeks of frustration trying to get someone to care. I rarely leave negative reviews, but people deserve to know what they may be signing up for. Please do your research and think carefully before trusting this company with your lawn. read more

I have used Arbor-Nomics for years and my grass continues to look great after a $40,000 install of the Zoysia last year. But since Arbor-Nomics changed ownership over the last two years, the pricing and my service is gone from roughly $65 every two months to $600 a month for four minutes of spraying on my front line. I have this very brief spraying on video tape on two separate visits. Arbor-Nomics was totally unresponsive to my complaints. This pricing is totally nuts. So, I switched to King Green and the same Service cost me $65 every two months. I will never use Arbor-Nomics again after being raped on their pricing read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY: we contracted them based on their guarantees and assurances that they would also re-treat if the service didn't make a difference (as long as you let them know within a couple weeks I believe). We had two instances where they didn't show up for the appointment because they didn't have the gate code (which the office had and they never tried to call me for). And then 3 or 4 other times where I'd get a call that they were coming but they never showed up (we have cameras at our home so I could verify). I also called twice for re-treatments that they didn't show up to, but every time I reached out they'd tell me my appointment was the following week. I escalated up to a manager and he guaranteed me two appointments and gave me the dates, but they once again didn't show up. When I called the office, they once again told me I was scheduled for the following week. This company doesn't show up for their committed treatment days and continues to punt out your appointments with no notification. My weeds have grown worse as a result. We contacted a new service and after one treatment, the weeds browned. I also submitted a cancellation request that they did not respond to and I had to call their office two days later to make sure it was completed. read more

Not happy with service. Yard is looking worse and worse by the week. Started service with them beginning of year. Yard was in great shape last summer. Was hoping they would apply appropriate pre emergent to stop weeds from sprouting but whole yard is being taken over from weeds. Going to need a lot of work to get back on track. Reached out to get help, was told a manager would be out in a week to look over, they send a technician for typical monthly service, and cancel the visit from the manager. Called back to see when manager is coming and that's when I find out they canceled. Once again, looking worse by the week. Obviously, their plan is not working. Going to cancel unless I see drastic improvements regarding communication and service. Paid a lot money to have to pull my own weeds... Hoping a manager finally makes it and gets this corrected otherwise I'll be switching. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the way Arbor-Nomics has handled an unauthorized charge to my account. Arbor-Nomics treated my lawn without my approval or authorization. To make matters worse, I was charged twice for the same unauthorized treatment, for a total of $224. I contacted the company and requested a refund. I was told that it could take up to 12 weeks to receive my money back. Because I needed the money returned to my credit card, I later sent an email asking for an update and explaining that I really needed the refund processed as soon as possible. I never received a response to my email. Six weeks later, I called again to check on the status of my refund, only to be told that there was still no update. I find this completely unacceptable. I was charged for a service I never authorized, charged twice for it, and then expected to wait up to 12 weeks for my money to be returned. On top of that, my email was ignored and there has been no meaningful update regarding the refund. A company should not charge a customer for services they did not request, much less charge them twice, and then make the customer wait months to get their money back. I hope Arbor-Nomics will address this situation and process my $224 refund immediately. read more

Absolutely terrible - any issue or question you made need assistance with will not be answered. It is impossible to talk to a manager on the phone. It takes multiple calls just to get put on a list to be reached out to - no one calls back. I've now had this on multiple occasions - we're done. Often the services they invoice you for are no the actual services they perform. Do not expect anything more than for them to spray some fertilizer on your yard from a truck, we one can easily do themselves. I do not recommend this company at all. read more

Terminated service recently after 19 years, when the company doubled its fees without notice AND stopped calling for approval before service so we can minimize chemical contact for our pets/children. Awful. We used them for several months and canceled due to complete lack of service. Two months later they randomly showed up, unannounced and without our knowledge, and treated our yard (months after we had canceled (in writing and over the phone)). We were charged $150 for the service that should not have been performed, and it has been a huge battle to get a refund. We have called and emailed several times over the last few months and each time we are told we will be refunded but we have not received a refund. Which is also covered in weeds and dying. The driver this morning hung his head out the window as he was pulling away from my property. "Do you have back yard service?" I have been extremely disappointed with the finance department and the management team. When you sign up for a treatment for a fungus, you sign up for yearly maintenance (that I didn't know about). I texted the technician not to come, they came anyway. Your customer service agents have promised me a refund since April and I can't get through to anyone to understand why my refund has not come to my account. The agents that answer the phone have been lovely, but no manager or finance team member has cared to call me back even though the agents are sending you emails to do so. We were loyal customers for over 30 years. In the last several years since Dick Bare retired, the service has gone downhill, quality control is non existent and prices have risen every year. Seems the new management is living off their past reputation and has the worst customer service we have ever experienced. They failed to treat our backyard with weed control as the technician was too lazy to make the trip back there and they failed to detect an insect problem that destroyed over one third of our front yard. They would not share in the cost of the sod replacement and were very curt, condescending and rude in the discussion of the issue. We have since gone to another lawn care firm and are very satisfied as well as paying less. The lawn has never looked better. Poor communication, poor services....We asked for weeds treatment and payed the extra cost for that. We have a monthly plan and our Lawn is now completely damaged with brown patches. Today we received this message"Just as a heads up, your area has had a growing infestation of army worms over the past few weeks. With army worms, it is imperative that you receive treatment immediately because they will destroy an entire lawn overnight. I will have the chemicals with me tomorrow that act as a preventative measure or eliminate them if they are already present. If you are interested, please let me know and I will send you a price based off of your square footage." Really, "since past few weeks"? And you just tell us today! I left them for a few reasons, I do a lot of my own work to the lawn and couldn't get my timing right with these guys. They call you at 9:00PM and tell you they'll be there at 8:00AM the next morning. In 12 years I never had a full days notice before service. So other chemicals I put down or when the lawn was cut play a factor. Like everything else, they constantly raised their prices. in the end I was paying double per treatment that what I started with. I referred several people to them over the years and was supposed to get a $50 credit for each one. All of my people gave them my name and address. They never once gave me the credit. After using them for 12 years and paying somewhere in the nhood of fourteen/fifteen thousand dollars, noting after I cancelled, not a call, not an Email, not a letter saying we're sorry to see you go, what can we do to keep your business...nothing. read more

They will automatically come back out for more treatments and bill you after paying a bill. I informed them I no longer wanted them coming to my house and informed them I would not pay my final bill until receiving confirmation they would stop coming and billing me. After more than a week and a phone call from them offering to "only" raise my bill by 13% (which I declined), I finally got confirmation from them of cancelling service. I then paid my bill within 1 week time of that confirmation (matching their responsiveness). And now several weeks later, I have a bill from a collection agency with another 28% upcharge on top.
