While Arbor-Nomics provides decent yard service, the company's billing system seems designed to confuse customers and set them up to be over billed. First, Abror nomics leaves door tag bills that do not have a date of service, making impossible (at least for me, a professional in the finance business!) to reconcile bills with payments. Secondly, Arbor-Nomics sends out monthly bills that do not show "debits and credits" which would allow me to easily reconcile service charges with payments. To make matters worse, the monthly bill does not include dates of service either. This confusing system lead to Arbor-Nomics placing their last (disputed) bill with a collections agency. The outstanding balance amounted to slightly more that a typical application fee. I believe this is a shoddy business practice that could and SHOULD be easily fixed to the benefit of its customers. read more

I'm always having problems with spittlebugs in the Zoysia and fungus in my Fescue. Arbor-Nomics comes outs and treats over and over for years and never gets it right. I have to call and let them know the problems I have, even though they have a tech coming every few weeks for regular sprayings. The techs never catch it on their own. Their regular techs don't even try to notice if you need something specific. Just doing the bare minimum. Tired of it. This is my last year with them. Going to another company. read more

The company's response to my inquiry about eliminating weeds was the option to purchase an additional series of weed treatments that costs $40 each (a separate service/cost from the weed control they were supposedly already doing and charging me to complete). I was a customer of Arbor-Nomics for a number of years. They provided lawn treatment services for me. The owner sold to another company and the service went downhill from there. I live in Roswell and used "The Weed Man" for about a year when we first moved into our home. I started to realize that Weed Man's employees work ethic was that of an actual pothead, so I quickly terminated their services and decided to give Arbornomics a try. Let me just say that my yard got exponentially better. Weeds started to actually disappear and my yard started to look green again. As a huge bonus, I also no longer received weekly calls with some sales d-bag trying to tell me my yard had a terrible disease that I needed to get pricey treatments for ASAP or else the disease would spread and all my trees would die (Weed Man... cough cough). Also, and my doorbell stopped ringing with an annoying sales man trying to sell me the world's greatest snake oil! It was a miracle. I had heard good things about Arbor-nomics so I signed up two years ago. I had to cancel due to lack of attention to problems in my lawn and lack of customer service. I called the company last spring about the significant presence of brown grass in my zoysia lawn. I have a sprinkler system so water is not the issue. A technician came out in May and dismissed the problem as "not hot enough yet". This was despite the fact that my neighbor's yard was completely green. (We had the same grass installed on the same day two years ago.) I called again a month later and manager came out and dismissed the problem the same way, "not hot enough yet". Despite the hot summer months, my lawn remained around 50% brown while my neighbors grass looks beautiful. If there is something I should have done better with my lawn, I would like to have been told. However, the problem was simply dismissed both times as temperature related. I called the office multiple times this summer and I was told each time a manager would call me back. He never did. I have since switched to another company with the hope that they can correct this problem. read more

I'm really not sure how to rate this company - seems like hit or miss with how your yard is treated. My situation - I currently rent a property from my parents that I'm in the process of purchasing. When they purchased the property - it was understood of me buying the property. So it was never a "land lord" type of relationship with the property. I take care of everything and try and keep the yard nice. This is year two and a half and the beginning of my third summer - and the backyard had almost gotten out of hand with how many weeds were growing. Front yard for the most part has been pretty good. Since my parents owned the property - they setup the lawn service. They use arbor nomics at their house and there is not a weed on the property. Throughout this spring and getting more towards summer - my backyard was infested with all types of weeds. More than anything I've ever seen since living here - despite being routinely treated. We have put in various complaints - and we have gotten additional treatments - but this last complaint I made sure not to cut the grass so that it was 100% clear just how many weeds were in the back - it was probably a 60% grass 40% weeds in various parts of the backyard. In the middle of parts of the yard were patches of tall thorny weeds that by the time the additional treatments were made were probably pushing a 18". And that was in main grassy sections. After two complimentary treatments I saw the weeds finally starting to die and brown up. (Last treatment was early last week) However, my tomato garden may have also received some of the chemicals - bc within several days of the additional treatments, the plants went from looking completely fine to having all of their new growth curl up and look like they are damaged - I think it will eventually be fine. But my other garden doesn't seem phased - but it's in part of the yard that is struggling to grow grass where I decided to build raised garden beds. Overall the company seems responsive - but I'm not sure about the consistency...my backyard is fairly large - and on this last follow up treatment I saw the employee enter my backyard...I was going to go out back to talk with him - but when I got out back (prob 3-5 mins later) he was gone and so was the truck. Maybe that's normal time to treat though. If my yard clears up and stays clear going into the next couple of months - I'll re-rate this review. I'm just not sure how the yard has gradually gotten worse since living here - and this year being the worst of the weeds yet - despite being regularly treated. **Edit - I need to give credit about the first issue we had with the yard when we bought the house (not treatment issue). I think the weed is "nutsedge" they ID'd last year - and we were told it would take time to get that completely out of the yard. This year the nutsedge is significantly thinner! read more

We've been using Arbor-Nomics at our house for about 3 years now and our lawn has never looked better. Fescue can be difficult to deal with but Arbor-Nomics continues to treat our grass with weed control and fertilizer to provide a gorgeous lawn. We had a sprinkler system put in our back yard late last year and because of that there were a lot of bare spots. After a few treatments and a bit of seed those areas have filled in and look great. We switched to Arbor-Nomics this year even their company costs us more than other competitors. Since I read some good reviews and results online, I decided to give them a try this year. The first two treatments went well and the results were good. Matt is our technician and he texted us one day before be came. However, after the 2nd treatment during the pandemic, we didn't receive any communications about the 3rd treatment. We texted Matt with no reply. And we contacted the customer service again and again. Nobody showing up even they told us it scheduled on one day! How terrible it is! Finally, I have to contacted their manager to get it done! We prepaid 7 treatments for this year. A far, we only received 3 treatments!! I have to contacted them again after 2 months to ask them to come to treat the lawn since the backyard has lots of weed. The normal time should be 6weeks. I contacted the again and was told scheduled today. Guess what? Nobody showing up again! read more

I had Arbor-Nomics for 2 years for my Bermuda yard. I like my Bermuda so much, I even spent the money on a 3-gang reel mower to keep it really nice. The first year, the tech that came out did not care were his hose went and I ended up losing 2 raspberry bushes. I also had weeds all over. After much apologies and a new location in like Snellville or Loganville for closer service, I let them do it for a 2nd year. I don't think that the yard would have looked worse if I had done nothing. I just got my renewal in the mail and called them up and told them that I would not be using their services any further. They may work for some, but for what was a my lush Bermuda carpet, not for me. read more

In fact, they had gotten much worse over the last 3 years. WORST customer service! EVER! I was involuntarily moved to them from Inspect-All. I found a bill hanging on my front door handle when I got home one day that stated that they treated my lawn. When I called to see about the bill I was met with such indignant arrogance that I paid my bill and asked to be removed from their service. Fast forward a month later, I receive another bill yesterday stating that I owed them for servicing my lawn. Again, I called and was met with THE WORST!.. she told me that "they don't have to call ahead to service [my] lawn".. umm... yes you do... if I've already-cancelled-my-account-last-month. Isn't it a customer service rep's job to "listen" to what the customer is saying so you can "assist" to alleviate what ails them? AND to make matters worse! She hung up on me mid sentence! What makes them think I would want anything to do with them if being treated like that is the everyday norm? No thank you!! I had to write to their VP to ensure that they effectively cancel my service. Shouldn't be that difficult but then again, that might render itself ineffective as well. read more

I am a recent new customer and am highly surprised by the rating Arbor-Nomics has. I of course saw this as I was doing research to find a weed control and fertilizer company for our new house but decided to give them an opportunity none the less. Let me say, I'm glad I did. I called and reached to 3 other similar providers and while each one got to me fairly quickly it was the personal touch that ultimately led me to choosing Arbor-Nomics. Of all the providers, they were the only ones that offered to come out and take a look at our lawn first hand to really assess what could be needed. The other 3 just gave me numbers site unseen. As this house was a major upgrade to our previous one, we wanted to ensure we took good care of the lawn and have it look as good as possible. When Ward came out a couple of days later, he took the time to walk around the yard with me and then shared his knowledge on different things about the lawn and shrubs and trees.. Not in a sales type way but educationally as he could see I was genuinely interested in learning about taking care of our lawn. I made the decision on the spot to go with them due to their knowledge and professionalism as the cost among the others were all within a few dollars. We utilized the services of this company for a few years and wondered why we were getting inconsistent results. I might have found out the reason when I happened to be home on one of the days the Arbor-Nomics truck pulled up at the house. I noticed the hasty and haphazard way their tech was applying treatment to the grass. He seemed to be in too much of a hurry and was carelessly missing areas of the lawn. Management defended their tech as one of their best employees but offered to retreat the yard. A different technician was sent out the second time. When I recounted to the technician what I had witnessed the tech said he wondered how his coworker was able to treat so many lawns in a single day. I replied, "I think you might have your answer." That was the end of my relationship with Robber-Nomics. read more

I am well into my second prepaid contract with Arbor-Nomics, but my yard looks as though my house is abandoned. Grass is just beginning to grow, but the weeds are in full force and show no evidence of letting up anytime soon. I have called Arbor-Nomics multiple times to have the technicians retreat my yard. They come back, but the results are the same. One reason there is little progress in ridding my yard of weeds is because techs rush through the treatments. I even commented to one tech about the speed at which they spray my yard. There is no way they are covering my entire lawn. The tech mentioned something about efficiency. Maybe technicians are paid based upon the number of yards they visit, but efficiency should not mean half doing the job at hand. Apparently, something is going wrong, and my yard is proof. A telephone rep told me the weeds were bad because of the amount of rain we had. Well, my neighbors' yards receive the same amount of rain, yet there is no comparison between their yards and mine. They have few to zero weeds, while my yard is overrun. I have already gotten a warning from my HSA about the weeds. What am I paying Arbor-Nomics for? read more

We have lived in our home over 35 years. We have used at least 4 lawn services along with trying to do it ourselves. Our experience over 32 years has been from horrendous to terrible to poor. About 2 years ago we switched to Arbor-Nomics. Our lawn has gone from ok to really good to fantastic. I don't know what they do exactly that makes them the best lawn service we have ever used,. It could be there expert service people or the products they use, but whatever it is our lawn has never been so lush and weed free. Oh and by the way there prices are as low as we have ever paid. I used this service for years and they did a good job but had to drop them when I was out of work. I signed up again in January of 2021 and pre-paid for the full year. About Sept I noticed I hadn't seen them in several months. I called them in early Oct. and they apologized and said they were short staffed and they would send someone out. That left me with 4 treatments to cram into 3 months. This is a time period that should see 1 or 2 treatments at most as the summer was over and the bermuda was going dormant. When I complained they said that they would extend my open treatments into 2022 but then they proceeded to come out every 3 weeks to put down the same treatment which wasn't needed. They even tried to come out at the end of Dec for the 4th treatment but the guy had just been out there a week before. They clearly used their limited resources to cover monthly paying customers at the expense of their pre-paid customers then they go and increase their prices by 20%. I won't be using this company ever again. They are full of excuses and short on execution. read more

I have used Arbornomics for over 2 years thinking I would make sure to give them enough of a chance to help my yard. They have been doing the weed and feed and then fall aerating and seeding duiring that time. Currently my lawn (or what is left of it) is worse than it has ever been! I've used Arbor-nomics for many years now. We had an incident a few years ago but they resolved it and we moved on. Their results have been pretty good although they have started to waiver as of late. That said, the nail in the coffin for cancelling is related to their latest monthly Buggette newsletter, which included a half page dedicated to "A prayer to share with friends." A very pointed, opinionated and judgmental sermon they shared from a pastor in Kansas. I'm all for sharing opinions, traditions and beliefs but not in my fertilizer. Good luck to you and take a note from Walmart and Marriott, leverage religious beliefs to drive business practices and principles but not to educate your customers on what they did wrong and need to be sorry for. read more

My mother has had their service for many years. Not great but not bad enough to fire them. That changed this year. Lawn worse than ever. Complaints not addressed. The guy who came to spray says they don't spray for our kind of weed. The expert who is supposed to come by and inspect never showed up. An email complaint gets answered with a promise someone (Sam) will call, but he didn't. Now that they have been fired the manager calls within a couple of hours, apologizes for what he calls an inconvenience. However, they showed up to our house several times, treated the yard and then billed me when I DID NOT agree to the service. One time (and the last time) they treated the yard when we didn't even own the home! WE WEREN'T LIVING THERE and they sent a bill. The new homeowners sent us the bill with MY name on it and the "customer service" people have been rude, incompetent and and still telling me I owe them money. They are pressuring me and trying to force me to pay for a job they did when I didn't even agree to it....and this happened a few other times with them as well. Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. Stopped using them a couple of years ago when we moved away and rented the home (and relocated out-of-state temporarily) and ultimately moved back in and re-engaged. They call before service although don't think I've answered once and provide handwritten notes on the invoice explaining what they were applying and why. No issues here whatsoever and yard looks much, much better. read more
