So, my experiences match the other negative reviews on here. And again, I was speculative about the negative reviews because their sales reps talk a good game. My mistake. So, we paid--in advance--for monthly treatment. Their technicians show up whenever they want with little notice. Or they don't show up at all. We actually went two months this summer with no treatment that we had paid for in advance. And, the technician didn't spray all of the lawn area I had paid for--I have cameras around the lawn that proves it. Finally, despite paying for both regular and grassy weed treatments I ended up with more weeds that I ever had--their cheap chemicals only turned a couple of crabgrass patches brown that quickly recovered. I'm sure their owner will want to comment that he'll fix the world, but he can kindly shove it where the sun doesn't shine--all this company wants is your money and based on my experience they don't give a hoot about your lawn. I did not ask about background checks when new people came to work on my yar because I had used Arbornomics for 15 years. In 2024 the driver quit and I requested the gate key back as I gave them one in the event I wasn't home. I received no answer to my phone call. I sent 3 emails using the site and still received no response. I called Brad, the manager for Smyrna to leave a message. I have dogs which would be roaming the streets if someone used that key to the gate and I have a dog door that is large enough for a person to get in my house. This should have been something that they also thought might be important, yet they did nothing for two months, then dropped off a lock and key to my house - no note, no apology, nothing. I didn't complain when I requested twice that someone check my yard to see if aeration and seeding would help and specifically Brad sent a text saying he would do it and I never got a call or a visit. If the company that you trust does not care if your dogs are at risk or your home is at risk through their carelessnes, don't use them. The Marietta office is not just negligent, they are indifferent. Use someone else. read more

Horrible service- and even worse customer service. we hired them only 8 weeks ago. we told them in our side yard just put sod down so do not treat that area. so they were treating other parts of the yard only. after only second treatment they burned spots all over SOD and older grass areas. my husband watered all areas same day as get fertilized as was told. not knowing within days all the spots they had burned, along with sod area they weren't suppose to touch. if this wasn't bad enough, now going in 3 days- can't get a manger to even return our call! this is the worse experience in 35 years of being a homeowner. read more

They chemically burnt my yard and when I finally got through to the company and they sent someone out... their response was that I didn't water the burnt patch (that was dead). I've been a customer for three years. I used to be impressed but the quality /service has gone significantly downhill. Every treatment is generic, without any real feedback on specific lawn issues. (My nutsedge and weed issue has continued to grow and hasn't been addressed by the technicians.) Ive complained several times the last two years but the quality hasn't changed. I finally I spoke with a branch manager (Frankie)..nice guy...and he emphasized the standard customer service reply that "our technicians seek to build relationships with the customers by meeting with the residents, etc." but it just never happens. (No one EVER contacts me prior to coming out.) His only solution was to say he'll come out in the Spring and do another analysis, and recommended I change to monthly service. Instead of upselling me, I think he could have done a lot more to make things right. After three years, I don't trust the quality anymore and feel like a commodity and will finally be cancelling my subscription. There are many other more focused lawn service companies out there who want the business and will follow up on their promises. read more

I've used Arbor-Nomics for about 5-6 years. They've always been "okay" but not great. 2 years ago, I had my backyard completely redone with new Bermuda sod and had an irrigation system installed. I always follow all the recommendations of Arbor-Nomics, including soil testing and aeration etc. My yard is the worst I've ever seen it (dead) and the follow up by the company has been adequate but nothing they have done has been effective. While Arbor-Nomics provides decent yard service, the company's billing system seems designed to confuse customers and set them up to be over billed. First, Abror nomics leaves door tag bills that do not have a date of service, making impossible (at least for me, a professional in the finance business!) to reconcile bills with payments. Secondly, Arbor-Nomics sends out monthly bills that do not show "debits and credits" which would allow me to easily reconcile service charges with payments. To make matters worse, the monthly bill does not include dates of service either. This confusing system lead to Arbor-Nomics placing their last (disputed) bill with a collections agency. The outstanding balance amounted to slightly more that a typical application fee. I believe this is a shoddy business practice that could and SHOULD be easily fixed to the benefit of its customers. read more

Despite hiring this company to treat my lawn and landscaping, my lawn is full of weeds and plants are covered with sooty mold. The company's response to my inquiry about eliminating weeds was the option to purchase an additional series of weed treatments that costs $40 each (a separate service/cost from the weed control they were supposedly already doing and charging me to complete). This means their business model incents technicians to not treat lawns properly in order to upsell services. Essentially this company makes more money for NOT doing their job. read more

I'm always having problems with spittlebugs in the Zoysia and fungus in my Fescue. Arbor-Nomics comes outs and treats over and over for years and never gets it right. I have to call and let them know the problems I have, even though they have a tech coming every few weeks for regular sprayings. The techs never catch it on their own. I live in Roswell and used "The Weed Man" for about a year when we first moved into our home. I started to realize that Weed Man's employees work ethic was that of an actual pothead, so I quickly terminated their services and decided to give Arbornomics a try. Let me just say that my yard got exponentially better. Weeds started to actually disappear and my yard started to look green again. As a huge bonus, I also no longer received weekly calls with some sales d-bag trying to tell me my yard had a terrible disease that I needed to get pricey treatments for ASAP or else the disease would spread and all my trees would die (Weed Man... cough cough). Also, and my doorbell stopped ringing with an annoying sales man trying to sell me the world's greatest snake oil! It was a miracle. I had heard good things about Arbor-nomics so I signed up two years ago. I had to cancel due to lack of attention to problems in my lawn and lack of customer service. I called the company last spring about the significant presence of brown grass in my zoysia lawn. I have a sprinkler system so water is not the issue. A technician came out in May and dismissed the problem as "not hot enough yet". This was despite the fact that my neighbor's yard was completely green. (We had the same grass installed on the same day two years ago.) I called again a month later and manager came out and dismissed the problem the same way, "not hot enough yet". Despite the hot summer months, my lawn remained around 50% brown while my neighbors grass looks beautiful. If there is something I should have done better with my lawn, I would like to have been told. However, the problem was simply dismissed both times as temperature related. I called the office multiple times this summer and I was told each time a manager would call me back. He never did. I have since switched to another company with the hope that they can correct this problem. read more

I'm really not sure how to rate this company - seems like hit or miss with how your yard is treated. My situation - I currently rent a property from my parents that I'm in the process of purchasing. When they purchased the property - it was understood of me buying the property. So it was never a "land lord" type of relationship with the property. I take care of everything and try and keep the yard nice. This is year two and a half and the beginning of my third summer - and the backyard had almost gotten out of hand with how many weeds were growing. Front yard for the most part has been pretty good. Since my parents owned the property - they setup the lawn service. They use arbor nomics at their house and there is not a weed on the property. Throughout this spring and getting more towards summer - my backyard was infested with all types of weeds. More than anything I've ever seen since living here - despite being routinely treated. We have put in various complaints - and we have gotten additional treatments - but this last complaint I made sure not to cut the grass so that it was 100% clear just how many weeds were in the back - it was probably a 60% grass 40% weeds in various parts of the backyard. In the middle of parts of the yard were patches of tall thorny weeds that by the time the additional treatments were made were probably pushing a 18". And that was in main grassy sections. After two complimentary treatments I saw the weeds finally starting to die and brown up. (Last treatment was early last week) However, my tomato garden may have also received some of the chemicals - bc within several days of the additional treatments, the plants went from looking completely fine to having all of their new growth curl up and look like they are damaged - I think it will eventually be fine. But my other garden doesn't seem phased - but it's in part of the yard that is struggling to grow grass where I decided to build raised garden beds. Overall the company seems responsive - but I'm not sure about the consistency...my backyard is fairly large - and on this last follow up treatment I saw the employee enter my backyard...I was going to go out back to talk with him - but when I got out back (prob 3-5 mins later) he was gone and so was the truck. Maybe that's normal time to treat though. If my yard clears up and stays clear going into the next couple of months - I'll re-rate this review. I'm just not sure how the yard has gradually gotten worse since living here - and this year being the worst of the weeds yet - despite being regularly treated. **Edit - I need to give credit about the first issue we had with the yard when we bought the house (not treatment issue). I think the weed is "nutsedge" they ID'd last year - and we were told it would take time to get that completely out of the yard. This year the nutsedge is significantly thinner! read more

I don't believe anyone else has treated our yard in our 2 years of service so far, so needless to say, he knows our yard! I had Arbor-Nomics for 2 years for my Bermuda yard. I like my Bermuda so much, I even spent the money on a 3-gang reel mower to keep it really nice. The first year, the tech that came out did not care were his hose went and I ended up losing 2 raspberry bushes. I also had weeds all over. After much apologies and a new location in like Snellville or Loganville for closer service, I let them do it for a 2nd year. I don't think that the yard would have looked worse if I had done nothing. I just got my renewal in the mail and called them up and told them that I would not be using their services any further. They may work for some, but for what was a my lush Bermuda carpet, not for me. read more

We switched to Arbor-Nomics this year even their company costs us more than other competitors. Since I read some good reviews and results online, I decided to give them a try this year. The first two treatments went well and the results were good. Matt is our technician and he texted us one day before be came. However, after the 2nd treatment during the pandemic, we didn't receive any communications about the 3rd treatment. We texted Matt with no reply. And we contacted the customer service again and again. Nobody showing up even they told us it scheduled on one day! How terrible it is! Finally, I have to contacted their manager to get it done! We prepaid 7 treatments for this year. A far, we only received 3 treatments!! I have to contacted them again after 2 months to ask them to come to treat the lawn since the backyard has lots of weed. WORST customer service! EVER! I was involuntarily moved to them from Inspect-All. I found a bill hanging on my front door handle when I got home one day that stated that they treated my lawn. When I called to see about the bill I was met with such indignant arrogance that I paid my bill and asked to be removed from their service. Fast forward a month later, I receive another bill yesterday stating that I owed them for servicing my lawn. Again, I called and was met with THE WORST!.. she told me that "they don't have to call ahead to service [my] lawn".. umm... yes you do... if I've already-cancelled-my-account-last-month. Isn't it a customer service rep's job to "listen" to what the customer is saying so you can "assist" to alleviate what ails them? AND to make matters worse! She hung up on me mid sentence! What makes them think I would want anything to do with them if being treated like that is the everyday norm? No thank you!! I had to write to their VP to ensure that they effectively cancel my service. Shouldn't be that difficult but then again, that might render itself ineffective as well. read more

I am a recent new customer and am highly surprised by the rating Arbor-Nomics has. I of course saw this as I was doing research to find a weed control and fertilizer company for our new house but decided to give them an opportunity none the less. Let me say, I'm glad I did. I called and reached to 3 other similar providers and while each one got to me fairly quickly it was the personal touch that ultimately led me to choosing Arbor-Nomics. Of all the providers, they were the only ones that offered to come out and take a look at our lawn first hand to really assess what could be needed. The other 3 just gave me numbers site unseen. As this house was a major upgrade to our previous one, we wanted to ensure we took good care of the lawn and have it look as good as possible. When Ward came out a couple of days later, he took the time to walk around the yard with me and then shared his knowledge on different things about the lawn and shrubs and trees.. Not in a sales type way but educationally as he could see I was genuinely interested in learning about taking care of our lawn. I made the decision on the spot to go with them due to their knowledge and professionalism as the cost among the others were all within a few dollars. It was that extra mile and exceptional knowledge that won my business. They have already been out for the first service and I look forward to a healthy and great looking lawn! read more

We utilized the services of this company for a few years and wondered why we were getting inconsistent results. I might have found out the reason when I happened to be home on one of the days the Arbor-Nomics truck pulled up at the house. I noticed the hasty and haphazard way their tech was applying treatment to the grass. He seemed to be in too much of a hurry and was carelessly missing areas of the lawn. Management defended their tech as one of their best employees but offered to retreat the yard. A different technician was sent out the second time. When I recounted to the technician what I had witnessed the tech said he wondered how his coworker was able to treat so many lawns in a single day. I replied, "I think you might have your answer."
