Came here for lunch after the rodeo and sadly I wasn't impressed at all. The ambiance/aesthetic is nice and the service was great however the food fell short in my opinion. I'm not sure if I would return.
One of the few place that no matter how many time me you go doesn't disappoint. Service and food both amazing as always. The wine selection and specifically the pricing on it make this place a must for anyone
Mother's Day Reservation @3:30pm When I say OVER RATED....It is an understatement. Please don't let the hype fool you. Please don't waste your hard earned money on poor service and cafeteria food.....This place is a glammed up Luby's and should be an insult to French cuisine. "Fine dining" with 1 star customer service and poor food quality... Hot drinking water...This was the first sign that things would be terrible. We asked the waitress why the water was hot and she replied "we didn't have time to cool it." .....QUE, COMO??? We were all appalled when that came out of her mouth. At that moment we should have left...Our waitress gave us the impression that we were inconveniencing her. Inattentive, unwelcoming, and rude.... Table was improperly set, half of us had silverware and the rest of us had to hunt down the waitress to get more. Other tables had flower decorations while ours was missing....sign of poor attention to detail. Coca Cola was flat. We asked the waitress if she could check on the carbonation and she never did. She said she did but I know a lie when I hear it....If you aren't drinking alcohol, they don't care if your coke is flat. My sister's lemonade or should I say "lemon water" was never refilled despite the waitress having multiple opportunities to check in on us. There were also multiple tables that had issues with the service. A man at the table behind us received his food but it sat there getting cold as he had to track down the waitress for silverware. Another outside table left prior to receiving their meal and another table of 2 sent their food back to the kitchen. We saw the male manager come over to their table to attempt to rectify the issue....THIS IS NOT A MOTHER'S DAY ISSUE, THIS IS A SYSTEM'S ISSUE. While we waited for our food we saw 2 employees taking shots with customers. Wait, so you mean to tell me that you have time to take shots but y'all can't make sure our drinking water is cold???? LOL! Unbelievable... This type of behavior creates a tacky restaurant culture. When ordering our food the waitress got snappy with my dad when he asked what was in the seafood pot pie. She replied "It's a roux" with an attitude... This visit was so emotionally exhausting. I have been to sooooo many places and this visit has really done a number on me. I'm drained just writing about this. Sighs... Remember that hot water I mentioned earlier? Well she finally brought out some ice after she took the water jug lol. "Here's some ice..." we were all like ummmmm too late sweetheart. Food finally arrived....I will say, the food came out fast! That was the only good thing as we couldn't wait to eat and get the heck out of dodge!!! We had popcorn shrimp, baked oysters, airline chicken, stuffed salmon, steak salad and seafood pot pie. Meh...for the prices we paid, they should be ashamed. At the end of our meal, my sister felt water leaking on her from the ceiling. We looked up and they had what looked like a silver floor transition strip attached to a vent and the water was seeping from it. I can't make this up...And yes, all of the above occurred during the same visit. What this tells me is that the owners either lack pride in their restaurant or have become hands off for other reasons. The staff seem very disjointed and struggle working as a team. I spoke with one of the managers up front and let her know I would be writing a review due to our disappointing experience. She was kind and apologized. I asked if they were short staffed and she said no it's because it's Mother's Day. Mother's Day is on the calendar every year and the management team has 364 days to properly create a plan that mitigates risk, while enhancing the customer experience. Y'all are in reactive/ survival mode, just trying to get to the close of day.... As a result, your customers have become the recipients of paying the cost, not just financially but emotionally. Please don't use Mother's Day as an excuse to drop the ball.... If you properly plan you won't have to be in survival mode on days such as today. Again...THIS IS NOT A MOTHER'S DAY ISSUE, THIS IS A SYSTEM'S ISSUE.
I love the idea of the place and the atmosphere, but the music was sleepy, the air conditioner was drippy (on me and my food) and my food was heavy. It was a large portion size and the servers were nice.

I enjoyed coming here to have a quick brunch with friends. The food was tasty, would definitely like to try more of their menu! The ambience was nice while offering great natural lighting. Staff were fantastic and super friendly.
Came here for brunch a couple of times and we had reservations, which I'd definitely recommend. Parking is basically nonexistent. There's valet, but if you're thinking you're going to casually find a spot, think again. We ordered a good spread: crab fingers, baked oysters, wine, plenty of drinks, and the seafood pot pie. Food has been solid across the board. Nothing disappointed, and everything tasted well-executed. My main issue is the space. The restaurant is small af and the tables are extremely close together. It creates a level of intimacy with neighboring tables that I personally could do without. If you value a little breathing room while you eat and talk, that's something to keep in mind. Overall, the food and drinks were good and it's a nice spot for brunch, but the tight seating and parking situation take away from the experience a bit. I'd still go back, just with the right expectations.
French restaurants aren't hard to come by in Houston but GOOD FRENCH restaurants are another story! A'Bouzy was just that, divine in atmosphere, tasty in all aspects! We had the caviar potato bites to begin with and my main course was the escargot (best I've had in Houston)! We celebrated a fellow friend's bday; although it was late, we were given exceptional service.
I had a great experience at A'Bouzy this weekend. The restaurant was having its periodic special of dozen gulf oysters for $3. The kitchen was backed up and we were told - so we ordered two dozen at the onset of brunch. There is a limit of one dozen per person for the special - after which the oysters are full price. On the website, escargot was listed on the menu, however, it was not listed on the brunch menu. We asked our waiter, Isidro, and he checked with the chef - and they were able to prepare the item which we enjoyed. We also had the French onion soup - it was very flavorful. I felt like the portion was small, however, personally, for soup, this is actually my preferance, as I find that French onion soup can be quite filling when I want other things. It came with a small salad. To end the meal, we had the seafood pot pie, another recommendation from Isidro. What a treat! Additionally we had two bottles of very reasonably priced champagne. We came in for the oyster special and stayed for the great brunch. Note: There is no bread service - but a popcorn starter which I find fun and a bit different. It was a lively scene. Lots of small groups that appeared to be celebrating something. Really a fun/casual vibe. I really appreciated the attentiveness of our waiter.
I visited A'Bouzy with a group of eight ladies, and we decided to try their champagne and caviar pairing; it did not disappoint. Everything was already set up when we arrived, which made the whole experience flow smoothly. This was my first-time trying caviar, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but they paired it so well. It came with mini pancakes, cream cheese, red onions, chopped eggs, and capers, and each caviar was matched perfectly with a different champagne. Our server was wonderful and attentive. We also ordered the large charcuterie board, and it was amazing. The cocktails and wines were really good too. They offer valet parking for just $6, which was convenient. It was a very classy and elegant experience in which I thoroughly enjoyed.
I visited A'Bouzy for the first time and had such a great experience. It was a busy night and the bar was packed, so our table wasn't ready when we arrived. We waited at the bar and grabbed drinks, which made the wait easier. Once we sat down, the night really picked up. I ordered the deviled eggs, the marinated 5 spice shrimp pasta, the diver scallops with risotto, and the donuts. Every dish was delicious and full of flavor. The scallops and risotto were the standout for me. The service was amazing. The food was amazing. The drinks were amazing. The whole place had really good vibes even with how busy it was. There is valet and there is also street parking around the back. I would definitely come back again!
Wow am I late to the party but I finally visited Abouzy! This is a sibling restaurant to succulent. It features a beautiful interior with a outdoor option for seating. I was raining on the day I went so indoor seating for me! This was my friend and my first time here and it just so happened that the oysters were on happy hour! I ordered some despite not liking raw oysters because they were 50 cents! And ya know what, I liked it! Our waiter was very helpful in helping us navigate the menu. I ordered off the restaurants weeks menu and my friend ordered off the standard menu. Now my dish, that I ordered I did not love. But my friends dish the seafood pot pie was fire! Wow I should have ordered that instead if was really good. We also ordered drinks and they were reasonably priced and perfectly prepared. Now although I did not love my dish I would definitely come back due to the good service!
I'm not from Texas but the shrimp and grits are enough to make me wanna go back on a monthly basis. They are absolutely a must try! They were packed and I see why, but they actually get you in super fast. They have really good mimosas as well

Today was the right day to be on a patio enjoying mimosas with good friends- and this place was perfect for it. A'Bouzy was visually appealing from the champagne cart outside the restaurant through the interior and deck. We decided to sit on the deck and I'm so glad we did. Service was great and we never had time to want for anything. I ordered a couple of glasses of the Gloria Ferrer champagne which had subtle notes of fruitiness that I enjoyed and a glass of the GH Mumm. I also ordered the Provencal Oafs which is a baked eggs dish. It was ok and not something I had before. I wouldn't order it again but I don't think this deters from trying what could be really good dishes on the menu. My bff ordered the French toast which looked great and apparently it tasted as good bc he ended with a clean plate. He also ordered a side of scrambled eggs and bacon, which I nibbled on once I was done with my own dish. Overall, I looooved the vibe here. It will be a regular stop for me whenever I visit Houston. read more
Perfect vibes for lunch out on a patio. My friend and I ordered the mussels, which came with fries, and the escargot, along with a bottle of wine. Service was wonderful, as we were constantly checked on, wine was consistently filled, and they even offered to take pictures for us. Food was also delicious, and I absolutely recommend the mussels, which came in an entire pot and simmered in a white wine sauce. Chef kiss all around. read more
This is a place I've been wanting to visit for a while, and they didn't disappoint. Had to add to the guestlist last minute and they were very accommodating. We had a wide selection of drinks, wine, and sparkling wines on the iPad. I'm not sure how much the iPad is cleaned between guests , so that was kind of eh. Also we didn't get the shouting A'bouzyyyyyy when our bottles popped but it was late so it was fine. Bathrooms were clean, parking easy. Okay the real reason we are here: food. Ordered deviled eggs based on reviews alone. They were yummy. They should consider an additional egg for the price, though. We had two orders. The oysters were my fave. I think they were still bubbling when they hit the table. Omg I'm coming back for these and soon. Entrees were all stellar. I had the stuffed salmon on risotto. read more
A friend of mine was in Houston the week before I went and she recommended I try Abouzy. The last day on our I took my man here for his bday finale, and they did not disappoint! They give complimentary popcorn in these small cute little bags. The cocktails were great and they weren't light on the pours. For our appetizer I ordered the bone marrow, it was delicious! The butter sauce crab clusters were my fav out of everything I recommend those to everyone. Hubby had a huge pot pie and that was good as well. Our server was really nice and did an amazing job accommodating us and my mans birthday, they give complimentary chocolate truffles. Overall it was an amazing experience and I can't wait to go back anytime I'm in Houston. read more

What an adorable place!! Beautiful ambiance, excellent service and the food was simplicity delightful with unexpected little twists. Our server, Isabelle was super friendly, very knowledgeable of the menu and made great recommendations! The patio seemed like it was happening tonight...but it was a little windy this evening so we opted to dine indoors and it was much cozier and quiet. For appetizer we ordered Moules & Frites: Steamed P.E.I. mussels, white wine, butter, basil, lemon, pommes frites. I wish we had taken a picture because it was a beautiful presentation of the mussels in a die cast pot covered with pommes frites. It was a generous portion of mussels and the sauce was amazing even with the pommes frites! I'm forever ruined...this is my new way of eating mussels! Who would have ever thought to serve it with French fries!! Nom nom nom!! I ordered the airline chicken and although it wasn't complex...it was packed with the perfect amount of herbal flavors along with the loaded mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts, it really gave it that homemade feel good food. Boo ordered the trout and he was amazed how clean the flavor was, it was fresh and the potatoes were full of flavor and he enjoyed each delicious morsel. We followed up desert with the sugar donuts and man were they AMAZING!! Crispy sweet on the outside and soft and warm on the inside!! Paired with their Illy French Press Coffee...I was in fully belly heaven!! I want to come back and just do their BALL'S OUT BOUZY BOARD - ONE OF EVERYTHING!!! And drink their unbelievably low priced wines!! I might save that when my Bestie is back in town! A'Bouzy is amazing! The staff is professional and friendly, the food is exquisite and the atmosphere is top notch. Sean Virene is a welcoming owner/host, absolutely the best. Our waitress today was Shelby like the Mustang and she was right there making sure we were well fed and all our needs were met. We had my 3 year old great granddaughter and she was treated like the little princess she is. Great brunch. Thank you for a wonderful meal and memories. read more

The food was amazing! I had black and shrimp and grits. My husband had the pot roast grilled cheese and we had the deviled eggs all were excellent! I had the no woman no cry, cucumber drink, bloody Mary's were amazing! And my husband had mimosas with fresh squeeze pineapple and orange juice. David was our server. I came to Houston to visit my friend and she thought I'd love this spot. She was certainly correct!! Every time they pop champagne everyone yells "A'Bouzy" truly loved that! It was a beautiful day so we sat outside in a shaded area and the waiter was very attentive! The ambiance of this place is gorgeous and there Veuve Clicquot everywhere! My friend said the deviled eggs are amazing and they WERE!! I'm not even a deviled eggs type of girl! It had bacon on it and it was delicious ! We also ordered the charbroiled oysters! For our entree we ordered the steak! Everything was amazinggg!! I was also sold they offered valet service upon arrival and it was very seamless when you are ready for pick up. I would def love to visit this place again for sure! I highly recommend it will not disappoint!! read more

Food was excellent. Saved scallops for me! Last time I'd had them (not here) they were too fishy, and I'd decided if they weren't good here they were out for me for a while. But happily they were fantastic! They came in a creamy, parmesan and mushroom sauce that was also delicious. We had tomatoes and burrata for an appetizer that was quite refreshing. I had a French 75 with gin that was wonderful as well. One note was that the bathroom was not in great shape. And they have automatic sinks which is great for sanitation but it was really difficult to get them to work while trying to wash your hands. But bathrooms aside the staff and atmosphere was great. Would definitely go again! read more

Came here on a Saturday evening to connect with industry friends ahead of a conference. We had a great time. Carlos (ponytail and glasses) was our waiter and absolutely amazing. I had already ate before coming, so I ordered dessert and sparkling rose. The bread pudding was decent. My colleagues had the truffle ravioli, tuna, chicken entree, and the entree that had fries with mussels. They all had great things to say. I'll be back for date night and will come with an empty stomach. read more
Starter: balsamic infused burrata- the tomatoes didn't really taste fresh. The mozzarella cheese was good. The balsamic could have been a little ticker(glaze) would be better. Brunch: Brioche French toast- was amazing! Spivey beef hash- wast spice at all, I guess tossing in some picked jalapeños makes it spicy? Such a miss! There also could have been more meat, the meat to potato ratio was off. Eggs Benedict- was also great. Drinks- Grapefruit mimosa, Paloma- very good! Service was outstanding! Came here with a group of friends for a birthday. The valet service was fast, effective, and friendly. The valet even waited for me switch from my driving shoes to my dinning shoes!!! (SCORE!) We were seated after all of the party attendees arrived. We were immediately greeted and constantly waited on. There was a AC DRIP from an above vent- we alerted the waitress and she had some one come and wipe the vent which was a temporary fix , and the drip eventually returned hence the four stars. Drinks were oh so strong BUT, Oh so RIGHT! We laughed, ate and enjoyed the entire experience. Definitely will try again if I'm in the area. read more

We went here for a date night. We started off with the complimentary truffle popcorn. It was a tasty treat while we looked at the menu. We each ordered an old fashioned; I was disappointed that it came with regular ice instead of a ball of ice to keep from diluting the drink. We ordered the baked oysters for an appetizer, but unfortunately our waiter forgot to put the order in so we didn't get to try them. My boyfriend ordered the seafood pot pie. It was delicious, but be warned that it's hot like lava even after you break the crust and let it cool for a few minutes. We would definitely have this again. I ordered the special, which was a crab-stuffed trout. It was decent, but I wouldn't order it again. We finished with the chocolate pie for dessert. We would go back for the seafood pot pie and to try the baked oysters. read more

A'bouzy is a pleasant brunch environment. The restaurant is lit with mostly natural light from the windows and the restaurant has bustle in the weekend mornings. Overall though, the food was ~just alright~. Nothing stood out to me, or made me feel, wow I should come back again. I did like how the pastries came out fresh and warm, and the hash was tasty as well. I didn't love my salad, it felt truly more like the side of an entree than as a dish on its own. Morning Pastries - Mixed fresh-baked house pastries, jams, butter - Would order for a larger table during brunch. Corned Beef Brisket Hash - Crispy corned beef brisket, onion, pickled jalapeno, potato, sunny side up eggs - Personally thought it was good, but it could have come with something else to break the homogeneity of the hash. Bouzy Greens Salad - Mesclun baby greens, Maytag blue cheese, onion, candied pecan, Champagne vinaigrette, wildflower honey - too sweet for me and could probably has been served better as a side salad. read more
I always pass by A'bouzy and it's busy as hell. Parking is very limited so either you have to park on the street or go with valet if you're short on time. I love this side of town, it's close to montrose but also not too far from highland village / galleria. The food is a solid 4 out of 5 stars but the service needs improvement. Perhaps I came on an off day, but there were not enough servers for the crowd of people that show up here. I can see why this place stays busy. It's in a great location and the food isn't that expensive considering other places with similar cuisine in town. It's small but the interior decor is cute. We had a reservation but it took about 20 min to get seated. You can always wait for your table at the bar but there is very limited counter/seating space. You can stand around the bar but there are other tables dining very close by so it's a tight space. There were long pauses between any interaction with our server. It took a while just to order our food and we ended up having to ask another server to take our order because ours was nowhere to be found. Most of our food came out before any of our drinks came out which was odd, but they did apologize for the bar being backed up. When we got our food, it took another 10 min to get silverware. The drinks were good and refreshing, I just wish it didn't take so long because I was halfway done eating before I took my first sip. Food-- my favorite were the crab fingers and the shrimp tacos. The octopus was quite disappointing. One serving is enough for 2 to share, but there was very little flavor. It tasted like it was steamed with no seasoning so we ended up using the crab finger sauce as flavor. The shrimp tacos were delicious and filling, and the oysters were decent. My friends that got the seafood pot pie said it was pretty tasty and it looks huge. All in all I wish I could've loved this place more and it would make a huge difference if there were more servers to go around. read more
I had the opportunity to visit here for lunch a week ago for my first time. A dedicated parking lot is available directly behind the restaurant and under non-Covid 19 times used for valet. Other than that, there is street parking where you can find it. Walking inside, is the hostess stand with the bar area to the right. Ahead and to the left is the main dining room that stretches around the kitchen area along with a nice sized covered outdoor patio area. This champagne themed restaurant/bar is attractively decorated Including the "artificial bubbles" suspended from the ceiling over the dining room. After perusing the lunch menu, I chose the melted mushroom jack burger with pommes frites for $14. The meal arrived in less than 15 minutes and was pleasing to my eye. The burger was large with a house ground 1/2 lb. patty and pepperjack cheese, mushrooms, lettuce and tomato on a Challah bread bun. I told them to hold the onion. It was a very good tasting burger that I enjoyed being both juicy and flavorful! The fries were also very good in taste being slightly peppered and hot and were more than I could eat. This French themed champagne restaurant made me feel they know how to cook and for $14 this meal represented true value with respect to quality. During my visit, the table service by the waiter was very good too. I want to return for dinner and maybe even try out that patio if the weather cooperates. read more
We came here for brunch and had the crab fingers, baked oysters, and then we each ordered the Grand Slam breakfast. Everything was so beautifully plated and the food was so tasty. I really enjoyed my overall experience here. I would definitely recommend coming and will 100% be returning in the future. read more

It's a 10/10 for me! We had a blast at brunch during my birthday weekend. We had a nice table on the covered balcony and our sever was very attentive. We had mimosas and the st Germaine spritzers for drinks and the breakfast pastries for starters. They were scrumptious! Particularly the cinnamon bun was tasty. For my meal, I had the sausage and egg casserole. It came with sliced avocado and red onions. Add a bit of Valentino's hot sauce and it was everything! Extra star for the valet service which I didn't know was free until we were leaving. They provided a very useful service in the rain. Go for the pearls watching alone. This place is super fun! The bubble ceiling is so cute, and the waiters yell A'Bouzy every time they pop a bottle. Make sure to make a reservation for brunch. Free valet parking (but tip ofc). Service was great. The complimentary truffle popcorn on the table was a good snack. I had the Morning Pastries. It was a beautiful plate of 4 pastries: cinnamon roll, muffin, scone (both chocolate chip I think), and blueberry Danish kite. Plus jam and butter. This was a lot of carbs, and I could not finish it all. I wish they had mixed up the flavors to include some savory pastries. I enjoyed my plate, but I am deducting 1 star because my friend hated her burger and the other dishes at the table were very small for the price. read more
I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place yet! I was here for my birthday a year ago with some friends for brunch, and we all had a lovely time. They are so great about accommodating both large groups and just small parties of 4 or less people. Their service is impeccable, and their food/drink options are top notch as well! The first time we were here, I definitely remember getting amazing PEI oysters with proper accouterments as well as individual entrees for each of us. It was done well and no checks were inaccurate. It's impressive when a restaurant can keep the customer paying preferences in mind even after a long meal with a large party. The second time was when I received an email from A'bouzy about caviar at cost! This was such a remarkable deal, and we had to take advantage of it! We were able to get some Norwegian caviar (Bjork) along with blinis, egg, onions, capers, and other accouterments. It was delightful. I thought we'd need something else to go with it, so we opted for some interesting tartare (don't remember which meat anymore), but that, too, was wonderful. We left with happy tummies - so much so, that I declined dessert (and I LOVE dessert and sweet things)! I know we'll be back when there's a little more room in our tummies and our wallets are feeling tight. What a lovely establishment in Houston! read more

Book more in advanced of the date and time that you want, or call when it's not their busy meal hours (10a-11a, 2p-5p). If it's not avail on opentable, it's not likely to be available there since they have the same information you do.

The interior makes you feel like you need to be dress nicely, but I don't believe there is an official dress code. Our party was dressed very casual when we visited and had no issues!

What is a good time to go when it's not so busy? Are reservations suggested?
I went on Thursday, 6:30. I did have reservations, but there were plenty of tables available. If you really want outdoor seating during these nice nights, I would make a reservation just to be sure.
