    LASAGNA ROTOLO. Amazing and light.
    Chris B.

Had the Prix Fixe Tour de Italy menu. Our server recommended the stuffed pepper Arrosto and Lasagna Rotolo. He was spot on. We also tried the Chicken Marsala and it was good. But the two recommendations were amazing delicious. It's what you expect when you order from a nice restaurant. Flavors exploded in my mouth. Familiar tasting, yet new. Perfectly seasoned. The rest of the meal was okay. But I want to go back to experience the pepper and lasagna again. The dessert was nice, but not a lot of flavor. Loved that the meringue was dolloped all across the top. Cake was more like a tres leche without any sweet milk cream. Would have loved more of a vanilla bean or lemon flavor. The yellowfin tuna tartar was okay. The sauce made it tasty. Without sauce not impactful. Service was good. Surprised how busy they were late on a Sunday night. Luckily they don't rush you out at closing. Our service was great. Will definitely be back.

Came here for a Valentine's Day dinner and absolutely adore the set up of the restaurant! The service was really great and The interior had a great vibe for a date night. We started off with the deviled eggs, which were absolutely delicious. It was tangy, but not too salty and had a nice small dollop of caviar at the top. The two entrées we chose were the lamb and the duck two ways. The lamb was great but a little Salty. I really enjoyed my duck which was cooked perfectly!! Will definitely be back to try their other dishes!

Brasserie 19 never misses. The fried oysters with the creamed spinach? Absolutely awesome. Perfectly crisp on the outside, tender inside, and paired with that rich, velvety spinach it's the kind of appetizer you think about the next day. The salmon was cooked beautifully, but that yogurt sauce took it to another level. Creamy, tangy, and perfectly balanced it elevated the entire dish and made every bite better than the last. And the beef cheek with mashed potatoes and fresh herbs? Freaking outstanding. Melt-in-your-mouth tender, deeply flavorful, and paired with mashed potatoes that were smooth, buttery, and comforting in the best way. Between the food, the atmosphere, and the consistent execution, Brasserie 19 continues to deliver a top-tier dining experience. Definitely a spot that stays in rotation.

I've been meaning to scratch this place off my list and happy I finally did. Came in for lunch and every part was amazing. The service was great as the drinks were always topped off and we never had to look for anyone. They did a great job of being attentive while not being annoying. I decided to go with their prefix lunch menu. I chose the devil eggs as the starter. Hands down the best devil eggs I've ever had, maybe it was the little dab of caviar on top. For my main dish I picked the chicken. That was the only description on the menu "chicken". The sauce it was served in was well balanced with onions, artichokes, and potatoes. The chicken itself was very tender and paired well with the sauce. For dessert, I picked a crème brûlée. No complaints as it was prepared just right. The perfect amount of sweetness to end the meal. All this for only $35!

The ambiance and service were nice as it was all decorated for the holidays which I loved. Our server was also very attentive and did an excellent job. While visiting, we ordered a bottle of wine and a variety of menu items. The French Onion Soup, Bucatini & Clams, duck duo and octopus were all great and had something different about them which made it fun to try. For the petit plateaux, the oysters were great but I did t love the items on top as they had a sauce or marinated which took away from the natural flavors. I felt the marinade was a bit too sharp with either citrus or vinegar and wouldn't recommend that unfortunately. All in all, the food and experience were very good and I'd happily go back

I would give this place a 3.5 out of 5 stars. Why? Let me tell you. Let's discuss the pros. Food: The food itself tasted good. My husband and I shared a half dozen oysters (all from MA). We ordered their special, the Chilean sea bass w/ lobster sauce, he said that was really good. I got the appetizer octopus and a side of mashed potatoes because I wasn't too hungry. Both dishes were delicious. The oysters were quite tasty too. Service: quick, attentive, server. No complaints here! Ambiance: it was quite busy since we came on NYE. There was a screaming baby next to us but that's not why I deducted points. The place was filled with balloons and it was very well decorated. Now the cons. Food: the portions were tiny. It was $56 for the Chilean sea bass and my husband finished it in 3 bites. Thank goodness for the mashed potatoes to help fill us up. I guess we should have known since it was French, but the price to portion ratio was waaaay off. The flavor was there, but it wasn't matching. Also, there was no side to pair with the sea bass and it was just the fish and sauce. I asked the server about the octopus and she said it was a decent size to share but I only got 3 pieces of 3-inch octopus legs. I paid $26 here I believe. I've gotten octopus at other places for $26 and it was a filling size, but this was quite small. Overall, we spent a total of $150 and some change with tax and tip included - so it is pretty pricey for the amount of food that we had. Ambiance: yes, it was cozy and vibey. But it was very crowded because the chairs were big and it was hard for my husband and I to go to and from the restroom to our table. We would ask other guests to move their chairs bc we wouldn't fit. And if there were no guests, we would just move the chairs. Now, my husband and I are quite small so if you're bigger than us, you'd probably struggle to find room to walk. It felt like a hazard when servers are bringing food to each table. But - it's worked out for them so far! Would we go back again? Probably not. It's not for me nor is it my vibe. But if you're looking for a moody date night spot with French food, this is probably for you.

Brasserie 19 did not disappoint. Fresh ingredients, beautiful dishes, attentive service, and a lively atmosphere. Definitely a spot worth revisiting.

Came here for a Sunday brunch and I can see why it is a favorite - B19 is not just about the food, its about the ambiance. Wish the weather had cooperated so we could have used the beautiful patio for people watching, so will have to come back for that. Lots of great options on their menu for brunch on top of their standard menu. We had their deviled eggs to start and then I had their French onion grilled chicken sandwich. Can't do brunch properly without a cocktail, and their Empress 75 was perfect. Staff was friendly and attentive throughout. Great service. Parking - valet, paid surface lot, or free in the parking garage

I ate here one evening with some work colleagues with a reservation. The parking lot was very busy and it took a while to find a parking spot. I ordered the half hen, truffle fries and asparagus. All three were good. The group shared dessert: creme brulee, Riz Au Lait (butterscotch mousse), and Lemon Almond Pound Cake. All three were good but the rice served under the butterscotch mousse was not for me. The service was good and dining was in close quarters with other patrons. Ambiance was nice but since quarters were so close, we could hear the next table's conversation louder than our own table. Food drinks and dessert were solid. Price point was fair. Four and a half stars!

Came to Brasserie 19 for lunch and left impressed. I ordered a virgin mojito, Caesar salad, and a side of fries. Everything was fresh and flavorful with generous portions. The service was excellent from start to finish and the staff was friendly and attentive without ever making me feel rushed. The space has a classic French brasserie vibe with a bright and lively atmosphere that works well for a mid day meal or an upscale dinner. Valet parking is available right out front, which makes getting in and out easy. This was my first visit and it definitely will not be my last. I am looking forward to coming back to explore more of the menu.

    Galentine's Brunch
    April B.

We visited the day after Valentine's Day and enjoyed a lively, upbeat atmosphere thanks to a Galentine's Brunc h gathering taking place during our visit. Despite the crowd, the experience was smooth and enjoyable. Antonio provided excellent service. He was attentive, friendly, and helped make the meal feel relaxed rather than rushed. Our table ordered the Beef Bourguignon, salmon, crispy Gulf oysters, and Brussels sprouts. Each dish was well prepared and flavorful, with the oysters and Brussels sprouts standing out as favorites for their crisp texture and seasoning. The Champs De Fraises, featured as a special cocktail for Galentine's Brunch, was a highlight. It was refreshing, well balanced, and a perfect complement to the meal. Overall, the vibrant atmosphere, strong service, and quality dishes made for a very enjoyable visit.

3/6/26-Michelin Man? More like Michelin...maaaaaaan…read more.. In good Mel and the Doctor fashion, a rough week equates to "let's go have a great night." We get dressed up and venture to Le Jardinier. While we were super excited and ready for a great Friday evening, we checked in with an unwelcoming hostess. Mind you, this is our first impression since we have never been to any of the locations. He asked the hostess if we would be seated close or after our reservation time (that would determine if we would have a drink at the bar), we received a condescending toned response of "you can have a seat and I will work on getting a status update on that." Duly noted. A few minutes later we were told we could go to the bar to only then be escorted to the table. So we will look past that "weirdness" of initial service and get ready for a stiff drink...the bartenders know what they are doing! Martinis were the name of the game and they were perfect. Just perfect. The prefixe and wine pairing was the game plan. But before the fun stuff, came the bread service. Bread was more than bread, it was warm savory pillows with the perfect butter. Made a crumbly mess while tearing up the bread basket, expected table crumbler service, after, nothing. For Michelin, we expected the fine dining cleaning in between each course. The service was odd, and the servers seemed cold. The kanpachi and the scallop of the prefixe were Michelin. Overall, we might give it another shot, maybe it was a bad day...but still grateful to get in last minute due to rodeo season. Let me know your experience!

I took my wife here last year and she loved the place so much that she couldn't wait to come back. She literally called the restaurant "perfection" in her own Yelp Review. Of course, that meant we were going to make repeat trips here, even though with all the restaurants we have around Houston, I prefer to continue trying new venues. This year was a complete 180 from last year. They seemed to be either overbooked or understaffed, probably both. We were waiting a while for our table, but a trendy place during Houston Restaurant Weeks having delays isn't surprising, even if we had a reservation. The waiter apologized for the delay, saw we were looking at the HRW menu, and took all three course orders at once. We really thought that it would speed things up, but the exact opposite thing happened. It took well over 30 minutes to get our first course, which was the berries parfait. It's literally just yogurt, berries, granola, and honey in a bowl. Unlike last year, where the ingredients were carefully portioned, it seemed like this year they were all just hastily dumped into a bowl and brought out to the table. Regardless, it still tasted pretty good. About 50 minutes after we ordered, we asked the waiter about the status of our entrees. He let us know that the kitchen was behind. He sounded frustrated. We never saw him again; he completely disappeared and while we thought we saw him around, he never stopped by our table. We proceeded to see random people running items from the kitchen out to various tables. They weren't the waiters covering those tables. I'm not sure if they were kitchen staff, managers, dishwashers, or what. They all seemed frazzled and rushed. Of course, none of the food was coming to our table, but we clearly won't the only ones encountering delays and poor service. At about 70 minutes, and now no waiter, we gave up and went to the host table. We asked to cancel the rest of our order and offered to pay for what we'd already received. The host went to get a manager, but another lady came out letting us know that the manager was tied up facilitating in the kitchen and was trying to offer alternatives to us leaving. My wife was ready to leave, but I saw one of the random employees drop two plates at the table we'd abandoned. I suggested to her that it might be better to just finish our already-delayed meal rather than waste another hour going to another restaurant, ordering, and waiting for food. The lady at the front said she'd "take care of the bill." The food that was brought out was a disappointed. The duck confit was clearly rushed through the cooking process, but was still pretty good. The shrimp and grits were a complete miss, though. They clearly didn't have time to get the flavors they wanted, so they just dumped a bunch of garlic butter into the dish and called it a day. My wife couldn't finish her meal so we swapped entrees midway since the excess butter was making her miserable. The same lady (I'm guessing an assistant manager) kept offering us drinks. We made it clear we didn't want mimosas, so they started offering coffee. I don't think they were intending to come off pushy, but after a miserable 80+ minutes, it felt that way. Finally, we agreed to a couple of coffees with dessert just so they'd stop suggesting stuff and let us enjoy our food. The desserts were... okay. Just like the appetizers and entree, they seemed to be hastily assembled and lacking the flavors we'd expect. My wife seemed suitably happy with the Strawberries Melba for dessert, but my chocolate pot de creme was... bland. I've worked in hospitality before and I know that "I'll take care of the bill" means different things at different places, but this is the first time I've ever encountered-- as an employee or as a customer-- where that meant we were issued a bill for the full amount of the food we ordered, despite the fact that we nearly walked out due to the horrendous service. The only items that were "comped" were the coffees that we didn't even want. My wife had previously made it clear to me that she wanted to come back here regularly, so as we were walking back to our car, I suggested this was just an extreme off day and next time would be better. This time, she made it clear that she'd be okay if we never came back again. Honestly, I can't blame her. I'm leaving the second star on here because the first experience was so good. All I can say is that this place is no longer the amazing location that we experienced in 2024.

Arriving around lunchtime on a weekday, I had the place to myself which allowed me a unique opportunity to take the place in. The booth area is well-designed, the spot was clean and the table touched by light so after a great experience chatting with the cashier I was crossing my fingers, hoping the food matched the vibe. Such a lovely restaurant, with two slightly different vibes depending on the day. Sundays are more lively with a live band, while Saturdays are a bit more relaxed--but still busy. I definitely recommend making a reservation ahead of time. My only small note from my most recent visit was that it felt a little warm inside. I get it, it's Texas and it was a hot day, but I wouldn't have minded the AC being turned up a bit more . Now for the good stuff, food! I've tried a variety of items and have yet to be disappointed. Some standouts: French Toast (5/5): One of the best I've had. Thick slices, no eggy taste, and the crème anglaise with fresh berries are the perfect adds. Lobster Tacos (5/5): More like a lobster salad packed into crispy mini taco shells, the perfect little bites. Shrimp Tempura & Caviar 4/5: Tried this most recently and loved it. The batter had the perfect crunch. I also recommend the Rosé all day punch (not on the menu, but ask your server - it's a frozen berry ball with sparkling champagne and rosé) breakfast potatoes and sausage, salmon entrée, and even the french fries. The service has always been great. On my most recent visit, our server was especially awesome. They were very attentive, polite, and gave great recommendations (especially for mocktails). There are several options for parking including valet, street parking, and a garage. Valet runs around $6-$10, street parking is metered (I paid about $6 for two hours), and the garage was free and really easy the last time I went. Overall, this is a spot I'll keep coming back to and recommending again and again. Looking forward to trying even more of the menu next time!

The quiche is excellent -- rich, flavorful, and served with butter lettuce dressed in a light…read morevinaigrette that balances it perfectly. One note for both patrons and staff: if you sit at the bar, be aware that it can feel more like a server work zone than a place to relax. I ended up moving farther down because I was constantly being bumped into by busy staff moving through the area. Overall, though, it's a lovely spot with very good food. Just wish the staff were a little more aware of guests seated at the bar.
