They came to my place to fix a blocked drain line and do general maintenance. They did not fully empty the drain pan and they told me I needed a very expensive replacement part. I said no. I called a different company and they came out and vacuumed out the remaining water in the drain pan, cleared the line, changed the filters and told me I didn't need any additional parts or labor. Above All installed a new HVAC system in our home in 2020. They did a great job. They were on time and did it for the quoted price. Their work was quick and professional. All of the systems wires and hoses look neat and well organized. They cleaned up after themselves and were polite. They have come out once a year for the past few years to do an annual inspection and we have had no problems. Last year they installed a second A/C vent in our bedroom and it made a huge difference. Today they came out and put a second A/C vent in a different bedroom. The difference is huge. The bedroom is now very cool; just like we wanted. Tried selling us a new a/c system and overcharged saying if we went with them in 24 hrs they would credit back some money on the install from the repair fee that was over $300.00. They would not send me the contract to look over as promised on the install. Our A/C was making a funny noise and stopped working. When I called John, I explained what noises the A/C was making and he was able to tell me over the phone it could be one of two things. He even was able to tell me rough estimates of how much each option may cost. This happened on a Sunday afternoon and he was able to make it out first thing that Monday morning. On top of being able to come out within 24hrs, he also returned my call within 30minutes! When he arrived to fix the unit, he was able to fix everything quickly and even offered to clean the fan, which was very needed. Couldn't have asked for more. Seeing their great reviews on Yelp, we asked Above All Air to come over for a maintenance call on our HVAC system 3 days ago. John said everything looked fine, so I was feeling good. Yesterday, the A/C unit stopped cooling in the afternoon - only warm air coming out of the vents and the indoor temp rose 6 degrees by 8pm. I called John and they were here this morning by 11am. They located the source of the problem - a bad capacitor. Quickly repairing the unit, John surprised us by waiving the charges, since we had already paid for the checkup on Monday. John and his team from Above All Air truly know what customer service is and how it should be along with not dragging the customer along with their babble about trying to sell you on a more expensive AC unit. My husband and I recently bought a home with what we thought and were told was an year old AC system however that was not the case and I started hunting on Yelp for a reputable and well priced AC company and I saw John's business with 23 reviews and 5 stars I thought no way! But he truly deserves every one of those 5 stars. When I first contacted John back on 8/22 I informed him of my needs and that I had several quotes happening the day he was coming out and my husband was working on renovations for our new home so please do not disturb him to contact me after reviewing the AC and we would discuss moving forward or not. Well let me tell you I gave the same spiel to all 6 of my AC quotes and John was the only one who didnt bother my husband from working. Once John and I spoke he informed me how long he had been in business and how long he had been in the AC business with a bigger name company and it was refreshing to hear from someone who is in the business how the other companies operate because John offered us the same or longer warranties then the big name brands like Champion at 2k less. John also offers a 10 year warranty on parts and a 2 year warranty on labor which no other company offered more than a year so for 2 years you have nothing to worry about. Fast forward to the day of installation John had a two man team sent out to our home for the installation and I was not there personally but my husband said both men work hard, respectfully cleaning up their mess as they worked and efficiently and of course finished the same day. After the AC was installed John contacted me with a follow up call to make sure I was happy with our new Comfort Maker AC and that the guys performing the job cleaned up their mess and were not a bother and I reassured him everything was perfect! John also mentioned that he noticed we had a CPS Home Manager in our home and I would want to contact CPS regarding that to see if it was still up to date and if not he would install a new Honeywell Thermostat for us and that sent me the paperwork to turn into CPS for a rebate as our new AC qualified for a rebate which who doesnt love getting money back. I let John know that I would contact CPS and follow up with him regarding the thermostat. Well move forward now to 9/4 when I finally got someone at CPS to answer my request to find out if the Home Manager was still in service and long story short it was not so I contacted John to let him know we would like a new thermostat keeping in mind this was two weeks later after the had completed the job and been paid he had no issues with installing the new thermostat which in fact was installed today. Overall would I use Above All Air again? Absolutely John and his team were grade A customer service providers and even though we had completed the job and paid John his customer service never changed from 8/22 to 9/4 to even today. He is always available via phone or text and even offered to install the Nest or Ecobee for us for $150 which is a $100 if you buy it at Lowe's or Home Depot. I am so pleased with John and his team that I also would refer him to anyone needing a new system or even service. Oh, if only I had known about these guys earlier! Recently my AC had broken down and so I called another AC person for diagnosing the problem. There were a couple issues that he identified, but due to the cost of the suggested repairs, I decided to get a second diagnosis. The next person had a somewhat different diagnosis for a different set of issues and quoted a repair that was also going to be a bit pricey in its own right. Given the inconsistency, I decided to take one more shot and found these guys. Chris came out at the appointed time and got to work. After identifying the problem (the one common agreement of all three technicians), he had to leave briefly to pick up a replacement part and returned promptly. After replacing the part, he continued to thoroughly diagnose the rest of the system. Given the earlier diagnoses, I expected something else would come up, but to my shock, he said just about everything else was within normal parameters, even as I explained what the prior technicians suggested. He just topped off the refrigerant in addition and we were good to go. There was the clear opportunity to upsell into additional repairs that were not needed, and Chris didn't take it. Less than two hours later and with a perfectly fair repair bill, Above All ended my suffering in the San Antonio heat and earned my repeat business. read more

IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD. Just moved into a home that was serviced by "above all air" during the repair amendment. They claimed in their paperwork that everything was working probably and parts that needed to be replaced were replaced which restored the unit to "proper working order". Just last night I turn on the AC, go to bed and in the morning there's water all over the floor which had already caused damages all through the hallway and into a bedroom. Obviously I contacted them I was told that they only warrety "parts that are theirs" without even looking at the issue in person. I explained which pipe it was that was leaking so I could connect it back myself and instead he gets mad and begins to yell saying I don't know and I can't tell you what that pipe is? Isn't it their profession? I called another local company and they stated that Above all air shouldn't have stated that everything is working if it isn't . John is honest and quick!! I needed a second opinion on some AC work that another company was proposing. The other company tried to tell me I needed a whole new unit. John came out and did a VERY thorough overview of my unit and found a small leak but did not see the need to replace the whole unit. He took his time to explain everything to me as well. We decided to have him fix the leak and recharge the system for WAY LESS than the other company had stated.
