They call about 20 minutes before they arrive as we have dogs that need to be put in the house. They have showed up and always have done a great job. A gentleman came out to look at our AC unit because it hasn't worked for two days. He started outside looking at a panel box. He tripped a breaker and stated that he saw a spark. Obviously, this is dangerous so he didn't want to touch. But, he just left. Instead of him talking to his management about next steps, he told me to call an electrician. I thought it was very odd for him to just throw his hands up and just leave that way. Luckily, we got it fixed, but we will not renew our contract with this company. I hired Climate Control in San Antonio to service my air conditioner and was very disappointed. Technicians arrived, performed work, and ended up blowing out my air conditioning system so it would not function properly afterward. They also clogged the drain in my kitchen sink during the job, leaving debris and water in the cabinet. Rather than take responsibility or return to fix the mess, the crew left me to clean up. I had to rent and use an auger myself to clear the clog and restore drainage. When I called the company about the damage and the clogged sink, communication was slow and I received no meaningful offer to repair or compensate for the problems. Overall, the job felt rushed and careless, and the lack of accountability afterward made the situation worse. For the price charged, I expected competent service and cleanup. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Climate Control in San Antonio. If you hire them, be prepared to inspect the work closely and insist they take responsibility for any damage or mess they create. I am sharing this review so others can avoid similar issues and encourage the company to improve training and accountability and responsiveness. read more

Last year my AC went out (it was very old). These guys came out and installed a whole new indoor and outdoor unit. It was a fast install, everything was explained, powerful and efficient and quiet and cool. Great warranty. Great communication on the phone. There was even one minor glitch with my pre-existing home drainage they came back out to rectify. Now a year later, something seemed fishy with heating. Jaime came out the same day, diagnosed the problem like a pro, explained everything. Now it seems even more powerful and quieter. Customer for life! read more

This company installed a condenser for us and then said they would be back in a few days to make sure everything was working properly. After a week we followed up but only received a series of excuses as to why they couldn't make it out. The unit was leaking Freon and another company had to come out and fill it. Then Climate Control said the warranty was void and refused to come even take a look at the unit they installed. It would have been a 30 min trop to make a customer happy but that want worth it to them. Shoddy service, poor customer support and terrible follow through. I highly recommend looking for someone else. read more

When I made the appt for tuneup, I asked the rep if freon was included. She told me the first pound was free. The tech showed up on time and ready to work. Very pleasant young man. His system check showed freon was low, but he said "not critical". I told him co rep said 1st pound was free and he gave me this involved story about how he wasn't allowed to carry freon in his vehicle and I needed to call the company and make another appt for the freon. I said that would mean another $89 svc call. Yes, he said. That sounded really absurd. Today (6/22) I called the company and asked about the freon. I told her about the original conversation when I made the appt. Said she had to check. Said she spoke with original rep who denied promise of freon. Said there would be a $175 charge for the freon. We were looking to turn our 3-season patio enclosure into a 4-seasons enclosure before the fall and cold weather arrived. We talked with a friend of ours about various design/install & costs options and he referred us to CC. Working with CC was a blessing, everybody was so kind, courteous and very knowledgeable. They were able to complete our job within a few days and actually went above and beyond our original expectation. Special thanks to Manual and Johnny Guzman for thinking not just about functionality, but also aesthetics. Installing and leaving was not there intent... they wanted us to enjoy our new split heating & cooling cassette type system for many, many years. Manual handed Johnny the ball and he went the extra mile when running electrical/ copper lines and drain line so we did not see anything from our enclosure. These two guys just made a life long friend and we appreciate their efforts for this job. Is there a way to give Climate Control no stars? After the unit they improperly installed caused a leak down an interior wall from the attic, we had to replace our 100-year-old oak floors. That was after its mid-year check and a Sunday visit by one of their technicians who said the unit hadn't been serviced by the technician who supposedly checked it two months prior. The same thing happened with our heater - no heat and it also hadn't been serviced properly during its annual check. The technician commented how filthy it was and then tried to charge me. Ironically, I got a letter from the company president who wanted to inform me about the new contract's price increase. I wrote him back and told him to keep his contract and his company and good luck to him on getting any more business in our area. Do NOT do business with this company. I was a customer of many years' standing and this is the service I received for my loyalty. Learn from my naivety. read more

I purchased a trane forced air gas furnace two seasons ago for my elderly mom's older house and CCH installed it for me. They did a great job so I called them back this week for a maint check up and to make sure the unit was still safe for mom. They fired it up, checked for gas leaks, cleaned out the inside etc etc for $69.00. This is probably about the lowest price in town. I've been seeing John Wayne commercials this week for seasonal maint services and those clowns want $179.00 to do the same thing except they give you a $12.00 carbon monoxide detector while claiming their service is a $700.00 value... what a rip off... Anyway the tech was on time, polite and left the furnace closet clean. I used them twice so far and no complaints whatsoever !! read more

The service this company provided to my house was low and not great at all. Our A/C was out for 3 days straight and it took 4 trips for the technicians to come to my house and fix the problem. The first visit, they diagnosed it and came back the second time to fix the problem. When they came to visit the second time, they TEMPORARILY fixed the problem. The third time they said there was something else wrong with the unit but it was working fine. This service took too long and we have been loyal customers. This summer heat is unbearable and it should not have taken this long for our A/C Unit to be diagnosed and repaired. It should have been the same technician that came to our house instead of several different ones who honestly didn't know what they were doing. Disappointed with this service, and on top of this, we had to pay $550 for "labor" when it took them 4 visits to fix the problem? This company is supposed to be employed with professionals but what my family and I have experienced with this company was not professional at all.
