I went to ABQ Collective for a Yelp Elite experience and decided to try an iced Americano from ABQ Coffee while I waited for my lunch. Their service is great - prompt and friendly, and the barista knows a lot about the menu. My Americano could have used another shot, though; it wasn't as flavorful as I thought it should have been. I will try something different if I go back.

This is the coffee bar and entry to the 20+ small shops. There is a tattoo shop as well.

This is a very eclectic coffee shop (small selection of specialty drinks). But very good coffee and the shops are so cute with unique items.

ABQ Coffee is a great place to enjoy a wide variety of coffee, drinks and delicious pastries. The barista provided excellence service, the lattes were tasty and the blueberry muffins were amazing. After enjoying our coffee, we visited the 15+ small local businesses in the same building called The Albuquerque Collective, where you can find numerous items, products, services, and unique awesome gifts. My wife purchased non-greasy LAVENDER SENTED LOTION that smelled amazing and BEAUTIFUL UNIQUE EARRINGS. The EARRINGS from DESSERT DOG DESIGNs were unique and beautiful, WOW! The earrings are hand made, come in different shapes and sizes, and include a real flower inlay. The QUEEN ANNE's LACE FLOWER in the earrings we purchased was BEAUTIFUL, BRILLIANT and SPECTACULAR, see images. I'm looking forward to the live music, food trucks and activities in February! Visit ABQ Coffee and The Albuquerque Collective soon.

The specialty coffees and beverages (Rhubarb Green Tea!) accompany the elegance of the menu. Artichoke Danish is pictured with a Boston Cream Pastry. But we seriously crave the exquisite Roman style "pizza" on focaccia, and the home-made grahams. While it is a walk-up shop, there are usually a couple available stools outside to enjoy your purchase on site. You can tell the staff are also in love with the menu - they are so friendly and knowledgable and happy to talk about their favorites, too. This is a business obviously grown from passion. I ordered many treats for myself and bestie. One pastry that caught my eye was the classic butter croissant dough with activated charcoal, glazed blood oranges, and blood orange curd. I'm not sure if this is only a seasonal item. The colors are beautiful! It was quite sweet, however the blood orange tartness aided in the flavors giving it a bit of tartness. The Boston Cream Cruffin looked mighty tasty. It's made with their signature croissant dough rolled up and filled with vanilla pastry cream and dipped in dark chocolate ganache. I'm having this for dessert tonight. Pumpkin bread Jam bun Espresso machine where they craft yummy drinks. I ordered an iced americano.

The owner, Bella, was very friendly and gave us tips on other spots to check out around town. What really stood out is that they don't use seed oils or processed ingredients. You can actually taste the difference. Everything feels lighter and fresher. We tried Terry Bradshaw's favorite - the crème brulee croissant. It was creamy, flaky, and worth the hype. The pistachio cronut was another winner. They bake it not fry it, yet it was perfectly crispy. The cronut also came in Madagascar Vanilla and chocolate fillings. Each pastry was also topped with edible flowers. On top of all this, it came in this cute little Louis Vuitton-style cloth to-go bag that made the whole experience feel extra fancy. Highly recommend stopping by if you are at Sawmill Market.

Friendly service and faces always warm up a cold morning, and we definitely got that at Los Ranchos Bakery. The menu is simple and the baked goods look great! We ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon and green chile cheddar bagel, a lavender latte, and a red chile mocha. A cherry tart and a cinnamon roll to go. The drinks were, unfortunately, missing a few ounces and flavor. The sandwiches were smaller than I expected. The bagel had a hint of heat and chile. It was perfectly toasted and held the egg and bacon quite well. The bacon was crispy and the egg was well done. It was filling in the end. The baked goods will have to wait until tonight but I've had their scones before and they were excellent! I'm betting on excellence on the tart and cinnamon roll. Overall, this is a nice local coffee shop that can be a great alternative to a chain coffee shop. The space is nice for some work or chatting with friends and family. Don't bet on the coffee, but definitely go for the baked goods!
