Oops forgot to take a picture until I was this far into the quiche!

Loved it, spent some time with the bf mapping out our plans for the next few months while sipping on cappuccinos and splitting a piece of the tomato basil quiche. What a way to start our Sunday. Love the space- and was happy to snag some comfy chairs. Although it was busy, we were helped quickly and got our drinks within 5 mins We got a loaf of rosemary sourdough to take home, but it turned out to be an olive loaf! As someone who doesn't love olives I was surprised that I liked it as much as I did

When it comes to checking out all of the bakeries that Albuquerque has to offer, Ihatov should definitely be on your list. I will say they are one of the less sugary of bakery options, but for some, that is exactly what you're looking for. They do have a couple sweeter options as well as some savory pastries and bread. I decided to try the cinnamon and custard roll. I wasn't expecting it to have raisins, which isn't always my favorite, but they were pretty decent and I also had some pecans in it. They start serving sandwiches around 11 and have a very limited menu but everything sounded really good. I got an oat milk matcha. I personally like a sweet drink and so would recommend adding some sweetener to whatever you choose. I think they had a few options, including vanilla sweetener, or just general simple syrup. I will also know that there is relatively limited seating, especially during the colder months when the patio is closed.

Really a gem. Cozy, mountain home feeling bakery interior. Attracts a granola lefty nature-loving hiker crowd. Lots of bumper stickers on laptops, cute dogs. that's how you know the coffee's gonna be good lol Truly a stand - out in in otherwise somewhat desolate neighborhood on weekday mornings

Underwhelmed by the sourdough here. Tasted burnt and I have the lingering taste of char in my mouth. It overpowered the salmon or cream cheese on my bread. The drink is fine -- oat milk latte with simple syrup. The inside of this shop is small, much like the outside of it. Not coming back.

Green chile cheese croissant is one of the greatest ideas in the world. It is perfect. All of their baked goods are fantastic. They do their coffee and espresso hotter and darker than I do, but I don't really care because the bakery is so good. The place for bread.

Great spot! I'm an avid coffee drinker and have given it up while being pregnant. Ihatov serves a great decaf latte. Pastries all seem delicious. I enjoyed a croissant that was the perfect match of soft and crunchy. This is also a good spot for remote work. WiFi connection was quite strong and the tables are pretty plentiful. Spots may fill up at times, but there is outdoor seating as well. If you need outlets, sit by the fireplace! On both ends of the fireplace there are 4 outlets to utilize.

An absolute gem! The filtered sunlight steaming through the windows and the vintage vibe...perfection! Friendly staff and delicious pastries. And the latte I had was 10/10.

What a wonderful spot! Delicious fresh breads and pastries--favorites include the almond croissant and the custard pastry, both perfectly crispy. You can also ask for just a slice of toast; you'll be served whatever's on that day with butter and jam, perfect for a light nibble with your coffee. I'd like to try their sandwiches (served only around lunchtime) because there aren't that many choices. In my experience, that often helps the venue focus on the ingredients. Atmosphere is warm and friendly with regulars greeted by name. It's really worth stopping by; nothing like it on Nob Hill.

Ihatov has hands down one of the best croissants in Albuquerque. It is perfectly made with airy fluffy layers and a crisp outside. It's fairly large for the price too!

This is a European style coffee shop with amazing croissant (ham and cheese for me) and a textbook Mocha. Such a lovely atmosphere and a wonderful selection of freshly baked breads. Class act.

I came here from Little Bear, where I felt more and more agitated the longer I sat there. Sitting at Ihatov, I felt calm and at ease. I'm glad I came here following Little Bear so that I could get back into a good mindset. The food was good, and I can see myself returning to try more. Food: - Peach buttermilk biscuit - pleasantly chewy, lightly sweet (apparently mentioned in the NYT) - Morning glory muffin - so many things going on (apple, carrot, coconut, raisin, walnut). It's not too much or too overwhelming. It's just right - Yuzu citrus fruit galette (peach) - I wish the yuzu flavor were slightly more noticeable. Peach skin looked like it still had its fuzz (awesome). It glistened. I found it to be very satisfying. - Lemon thyme scone - the lemon is in the glaze. I love the hint of thyme (visually and flavor-wise) throughout Service: - Kind, quick Ambiance: - it's a converted Starbucks Reserve - I like the white/brown/wood/airy/minimalist/simple aesthetic - it was pretty loud in the cafe, but when I went to the restroom, it was really quiet, somber/muted, and calming, and I wished I could stay in there for a long time. The soaps smell good - the sunlight streaming through the windows was nice, albeit too bright sometimes, so I had to wear a hat for a bit - love the books lying around to browse through. We looked at some books about Miyazaki films - I like that you can see the kitchen at work - I wasn't overwhelmed with lots of choices, which is nice - I can see there being a little bit of shortage of seating, depending on how many people there are, with the way the tables are distributed

Honey almond latte, brown sugar croissant, and the spinach and ham quiche is pictured :)

Ask the Community - Ihatov Bread and Coffee

Any GF /DF options if I go there with my family?

They don’t do GF baking. Coffees and teas are delicious, that’s usually what I enjoy when I take the gluten heads in my house to Ihatov for treats.

I ordered many treats for myself and bestie. One pastry that caught my eye was the classic butter croissant dough with activated charcoal, glazed blood oranges, and blood orange curd. I'm not sure if this is only a seasonal item. The colors are beautiful! It was quite sweet, however the blood orange tartness aided in the flavors giving it a bit of tartness. The Boston Cream Cruffin looked mighty tasty. It's made with their signature croissant dough rolled up and filled with vanilla pastry cream and dipped in dark chocolate ganache. You can actually taste the difference. Everything feels lighter and fresher. We tried Terry Bradshaw's favorite - the crème brulee croissant. It was creamy, flaky, and worth the hype. The pistachio cronut was another winner. They bake it not fry it, yet it was perfectly crispy. The cronut also came in Madagascar Vanilla and chocolate fillings. Each pastry was also topped with edible flowers. On top of all this, it came in this cute little Louis Vuitton-style cloth to-go bag that made the whole experience feel extra fancy. Friendly service and faces always warm up a cold morning, and we definitely got that at Los Ranchos Bakery. The menu is simple and the baked goods look great! We ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon and green chile cheddar bagel, a lavender latte, and a red chile mocha. A cherry tart and a cinnamon roll to go. The drinks were, unfortunately, missing a few ounces and flavor. The sandwiches were smaller than I expected. The bagel had a hint of heat and chile. It was perfectly toasted and held the egg and bacon quite well. The bacon was crispy and the egg was well done. It was filling in the end. The baked goods will have to wait until tonight but I've had their scones before and they were excellent! I'm betting on excellence on the tart and cinnamon roll. Overall, this is a nice local coffee shop that can be a great alternative to a chain coffee shop. The space is nice for some work or chatting with friends and family. Don't bet on the coffee, but definitely go for the baked goods!
