The food was absolutely amazing! The omelette I got was exceptionally large, with perfectly cooked eggs wrapped around tasty meats and cheeses. Great omelet. Their food is done in a unique style that absolutely adds to the flavor. Their biscuits are grilled. You have both options grilled or regular. The person I was with got the grilled. She ia a huge biscuit fan, and absolutely raved about this biscuit! I got a cinnamon roll to go with my omelette lol--Breakfast of champions. This thing was fresh and doughy, and the icing was not too sweet. It was the perfect creamy sugary addition to a cinnamon gummy. It was perfect. The service was very friendly with a hometown feel, and interacted well with our table. We chose one of the tables away from the diner type booths. She was covering that whole section and there was quite a few people in there. Even though she was in a hurry and busy, she laughed and joked with us and made sure we got what we needed. The atmosphere could be a little warmer, it seemed like a busy moving ant farm, including the customers. That didn't detract from our dining experience, which was great. When you go there definitely go for a table, I think it adds to the experience. You're more comfortable you have more room, and just feels less like your server is looming in the background. Being 100% honest, I've been to O'Brady's before and I was not expecting to like it when we went for this visit. Sitting in the dining room with the tables made a big difference in how the whole experience felt. I highly recommend it. Our server was wonderful! She was sweet, efficient and very attentive to detail. Answered all my questions with patience and grace. I had pancakes which were perfect! Fluffy and delicious! BUT-they don't serve real butter or real maple syrup. They serve a butter blend and cheap syrup. Ugh! My husband had the cheese sticks and the cod dinner. The fries were coated with something that held the dirty grease taste. He said the fish was fine but not great. It seemed like everything came off the back of a SYSCO truck. I think the breakfast would be better than the dinner. But that's just speculation. The atmosphere was dated and janky in many ways. Like a step back in time. The toilet stalls are too small. I saw an order of biscuits and gravy and was shocked at how big their portions were. Before I sat down, I knew this was something I wanted to order. After spending a few minutes on the menu, I quickly changed my mind and went for the chicken fried steak. I wanted the biscuit and gravy as an additional side as a half portion. The server let me know that what they're bringing out is the only portion (which was really big). The locals who sat by us at the bar let us know that the biscuit I keep seeing used to be the half portion! I can't imagine how anyone can finish it unless the whole family is sharing it. The environment is very busy and friendly. Although it's located across the street from a motel 6, there's tons of locals that stop by where the servers know them by name. The locals I mentioned earlier, the wife met her husband here while she was waiting tables. They been going there for over 30 years. The husband treats this diner as his "bar" since all of his friends are here. Such a friendly place to stop by if you need a pit stop and friendly faces. I ordered the country fried steak and it's amazing!!!! The breading was light and the gravy was thick! I'm weird, but I like to also dip this in ranch. Pancakes were huge and fluffy even after being drowned in syrup. My boyfriend ordered the ham breakfast and he loved it. He normally gets the corned beef and hash, but realized it came from a can. First things first, this place continues to charge a surcharge for anything with eggs in it, which is a ripoff because eggs are as cheap now as they were prior to the great egg crisis. That's enough to make me not go back, because I don't like to get ripped off. But that's not the end of it. If you are in any kind of a hurry or if you are really thirsty, you definitely dont want to eat here. There were four of us, including my granddaughter and when we sat down, the waitress came and sat down three glasses of water, completely ignored my granddaughter, didn't ask if she wanted water or something else, So I gave her mine and went without til the coffee came to the table. Speaking of which, my coffee cup was empty for the majority of the time that we were there, and if the hostess hadn't come by, it would have been empty the entire time after my first cup. We ordered our breakfast then waited for 45 minutes before it was brought to the table. I ordered the strawberry-topped French toast, which although the menu said you could get either strawberries or blueberries on your waffles, what you actually get is pie filling. Assuming it would take another 45 minutes to get it replaced, I just scraped the pie filling off and ate the French toast with the few pieces of actual strawberry I could separate from the goo of the pie filling. The French toast was stale and was like chewing thick pita bread. My MIL, who never fails to leave a tip, was struggling with whether or not to leave a tip, based on the quality of the food and lack off service. She ended up leaving a small tip so the waitress didn't get stiffed but hopefully she got the point. First things first, we are regular patrons of the restaurant and always enjoy the food and service but the last two times we have been there on the weekend and the service has a lot to be desired. First time a couple of weeks ago we were seated across the Isle of the server station and one of the kitchen help accidentally dropped a tub of dishes and water and sprayed on us and our food on the table that we were going to take home but now we couldn't and not one word was said to us, not even an apology. When paying the bill my wife told the cashier and she called for the manager which just happened to be our waitress and she had the nerve to ask us where we're we sitting? She walked away and offered no apology or compensation for the food that we couldn't eat. Today the waitress came to take our order but instead decided to get the order from table across the Isle because they were there first, which they were but didn't come back for 15 minutes to get our order after taking two more orders, delivered meals to another table. Stopped for breakfast before our flight home. The atmosphere brought me back to my childhood. The food was delicious and the amount of food did not disappoint. This has been a place I've grown to love since I was a kid. They sell candy and gum at the counter and it's always been a fun thing for us with kids when we pay. Anyway they do a great job and cook a very large and homemade breakfast. The cooks have been doing it awhile and the food shows it. The quality for the steak was surprisingly good. Very thick and tender, little fat at all and extremely juicy. The Childrens plate was a bit disappointing with the facts that the " steak" ground chuck patty, was covered in salt and pepper. We stopped here because of the favorable ratings but we're woefully disappointed. The service was good but the food wasn't very good. We ordered the red trout, grilled pork chops and roast beef. The trout was the best but slightly over-cooked yet the skin wasn't crisp (go figure). The pork chops were dry but edible. The roast beef was horrid. Very dry and totally unappealing. We mentioned this to the cashier and all she could say was that the "chef must have left the meat in the juice too long". Have eaten here regularly, good staff and large portions. But I decided to try a different breakfast, by ordering the eggs and hamburger steak. When I asked them to not overcook the hamburger and keep it moist, one of the staff came to my table and asked me to sign a permission slip obviously relieving the cooking staff of any responsibility from crucifying the hamburger patty that I was ordering by overcooking it. In all my life, and all my travels I've never been asked by a Restaurant to sign a permission slip for food that should be cooked correctly, and not overcooked. I had one of the best Turkey sandwiches ever and my brother had a giant juicy burger that cant be beat and my son had a 10 oz sirloin steak that was so juicy and tender i would swear it was never frozen and cut right off the cow across the street from the farm. This was an old fashioned restaurant in Idaho Falls. We sat at the old fashioned bar and watched them cook our food and chatted with the friendly waitresses. 5 stars because "too much food" is never a complaint in my book. I was in town for a night and had dinner and breakfast here. Both meals I ordered breakfast. I recommend the French Toast over the Biscuits and Gravy as the side. The entree pictured was the California Veggie Omelet, I requested it with onions instead of olives and asked them to do it as a scramble since I prefer my ingredients cooked in the eggs. Next time I'd go with less cheese, but this place is definitely a win! read more

I wasnt too interested in the standard American lunch offerings, but noticed they serve breakfast items all day. Belgian waffle, western omelette, hash browns, english muffin- that was great stuff. More than we could eat. My toddler helped me eat the whipped cream and blueberries off my waffle, and made a typical mess of it. The waitress surprised me with a warm wash cloth to wipe his hands.
