(yes you are reading that correctly) Over the course of the last 3.5 months I have been lied to on more occasion's then I can possibly count from being told that my vehicle would be completed by the time my son went away to school on June 17th to the endless number of excuses I've been given time and time again and none of been blamed on part delays or anything other then pure incompetence. At first I was told I would have a loaner car the following week in mid April to now being July 20th and still having no loaner car and no repair end date in sight, instead I was forced to go buy another vehicle just for my son to go down to IU for his summer classes because he's not old enough to have a rental car. I have had issues with Genesis of Algonquin before today from billing Genesis USA last December for warranty work that was never completed and lied about, later fixed to many other issues, but this is beyond ridiculous. And this has happened to not only me, but one of my very good friends who I will let tell his own story. The moral of this story for all of my friends and family, do NOT and I repeat do NOT bring your vehicle to Genesis of Algonquin unless you enjoy being misled, lied to and provide horrendous service. The irony is prior to this last 7 months, I was planning on being an Genesis customer for life (G90 was literally my favorite car I've ever owned) to now I will never purchase another Genesis ever again. P.S. I'm waiting to hear from my Genesis case manager on how they are going to compensate me for the past 4 months and I can't wait to see the amount of damage done to the vehicle that has been just sitting there for all this time. They somehow are worried that I can come back and claim the truck is still mine or there might be a title issue. Even though I'm sure a title check was completed and payoff was confirmed. But none of those issues hindered them from immediately selling the vehicle. The best part is no one returns phone calls. I went into the dealership two days ago and of course the manger was not in. I was told "Someone will call you back today." Three days later no call back. They will happily take your money. Don't expect any follow up from them afterwords.
