I have towing insurance and would expect them to help me. They did not. I waited with my car for 4 hours and then told them I would leave the keys in the car and got a ride home. They called me at 11:47pm and told me they had a towing company and it would be be at my car today between 7 and 9 am. I waited. Also I got a text to confirm that. 10:15 I called them back and they said sorry we don't have anybody, your better off calling a towing company on your own. I called area Dupage towing and they could not be nicer first on the phone and the girl said I will get somebody out there as soon as we can we of course are backed up.but it will be today. I paid her over the again out of my own pocket when I have insurance that should have taken care of me. At 12:33pm i got a call that my flat was fixed and I could pick up my car. I am ever so grateful for this towing company. I will fight this case with Progressive ins. They should hire more towing companies then spending so much money on commercials. It was to have been completed in a month. He had seen other Jeeps that I had done at other local Shops and he assured me that his work would be as good if not Better! It wound up taking 9 MONTHS! And the product I got back was probably the WORST Paint Job I Have EVER Seen(See Pictures). Everything from No Prep Work to Painting Over the Stock Decals(Again, See Pics)! And when I was told that the Jeep was FINALLY Done, I showed up to pick it up to be told that the Hood Cowl still needed to be "Wet Sanded". After Finally being forced to Demand the Hood Cowl, 2 Months later, I was handed it back unprepped, unpainted! Then the Final Kick in the Shin is that after waiting 9 Months plus an additional 2 Months while they gather all the parts they took off to get the Jeep "Paint Ready" and Getting a Sub-Earl Scheib Paint Job, they couldn't find 18 Parts(See List), including the Back Seat that were missing off of the Jeep when I went to Pick it up(Probably due to the Jeep sitting outside without the Supplied Hard Top for 7 of the 9 Month's they had it). I have Never dealt with such an Unprofessional Business before in my 55 Years. If they were to offer to paint my next car/jeep for free, I would RUN! I also want to say that this should not reflect poorly upon Pro Paint Location in Woodstock. The Woodstock location does Wonderful work and is fairly priced. And Raul there is a Master at Paintless Dent Repair! He sold the East Dundee Location to Mario and Everything has gone Downhill since.

We had a 3/23/24 2 p.m. reservation. We walk in and are greeted by Yuriy. At first personally I didn't really care for him because he seemed like he was a fast talker. Upon looking at the vehicle, I noticed that there were noticeable scratch marks on the vehicle that you couldn't see on the pictures they had. I could tell hubby was a bit disappointed because he could see himself in that car. Yuriy kept the process going and wanted to show us some other luxury vehicles they had in stock. Hubby saw a 2012 Mercedes that caught his eye so Yuriy quickly went to get it. When he let us look at it, it was beautiful. Silver grey, one owner who took very good care of the car and not a scratch on the car. No accidents. We test drove it and it was super smooth. Yuriy seemed genuinely happy that we saw something we liked. He gave us the CarFax information. Hubby gave me that look to say "I want this car". We went through the process of paperwork and the explanation of extended warranty. We were there for awhile. I think hubby thought he was going to leave there with no car but Yuriy changed that and saved the day! He really took time with us and never rushed us out. I would highly recommend Car City. We had a good experience and they pride themselves on having trusted mechanics on site to inspect the cars before they go out on the lot to be sold. I brought my 1969 AMX to Classic Car Factory for a repaint and a few relatively minor items:…read morechecking the charging system, a tune-up, replacing the water pump, adding wheel spacers, and later replacing the wiper motor. I was quoted a 30-day timeline and I was provided an estimated cost & a maximum cost. Instead, the car was kept for 8 months and the final cost ballooned to 3 times the quoted maximum. Because the car was fully disassembled for paint, I had little ability to stop the project once it was underway. The results were extremely disappointing. The car was returned with scratches and damage to more than 30 areas of what should have been a high-quality paint job and mechanically, the car was in worse condition than when I brought it in. Parts were lost, including rare and difficult-to-replace trim pieces such as the rear window stainless transition trim and a trunk lid. The windshield and rear windows apparently were unprotected when removed and were reinstalled with deep scratches in them.(They claim that the scratches were in the windows when the car was brought in despite pictures proving the contrary). During repairs, additional damage was caused: the timing chain cover was cracked during the water pump replacement, the wiper motor bushing was destroyed and they could not find a replacement so the replacement motor could not be installed, and two sets of stainless steel drip rail moldings (approximately $1,000 each) were damaged and never reinstalled. The hood latch was painted so thickly it was not operational. Literally none of the requested repairs were successfully completed. After 2 months of back and forth after retrieving the car, they fixed the paint problems - I was unwilling to have them attempt to do any more mechanical work but I did expect them to replace the parts they lost or damaged. They have not. This experience fell far short in terms of workmanship, care, timeline, and cost control. They advertise the lowest hourly rate for mechanics - they should hire one. Their slogan "We can do that" should be adjusted "We can do that but not well". I cannot recommend this shop based on my experience.

On 01/08/2024, he approved the inspection, authorized payment to the seller, and waived any right to refunds or adjustments after payment. Despite being clearly advised that the seller required the check to be physically received before releasing the vehicle, Eric repeatedly accused Salvex staff of dishonesty and threatened law enforcement before seller payment clearance. The $3,100 check was received on January 30, 2024. Afterward, release documents were issued on January 31, 2024, and the title was sent and confirmed as delivered. The vehicle was picked up on 02/14/2024, as confirmed by the on-site contact, and the title was sent and confirmed delivered.. Nevertheless, Eric left negative feedback after the transaction was fully completed, despite the documented timeline contradicting his claims. His conduct caused unnecessary friction, delays, and administrative burden, despite Salvex performing fully in accordance with the agreed terms and standard procedures. Proceed with caution when dealing with this buyer.

Behold, the owner's son whom I was told later can be seen using my car on a personal trip out of all the places to the liquor store. Very unprofessional. I was in the Lombard/Addison area when all of a sudden the brakes in my minivan failed which left…read moreme stranded for a few hours. I was notified about W.A.R Automotive Mechanic which was down the street from where I was stranded. Without brakes, I drove to this auto shop which I considered to be the best decision of that day! Without an appointment, Tony and the mechanics were able to fit me in and fix my failed brakes. Turned out to be a brake fluid leakage while I was driving. This place truly saved me from spending more on towing and potentially spending so much on repairs. It's been 3 weeks since that very day and I have had no problems with my brakes since then!
