Alex was warm, welcoming and so cool. I made it known that I know nothing about Caviar and not even sure if I had ever tried it properly. This was no problem! I was offered three samples and figured out which one I enjoyed the most for my naïve caviar pallet. I also picked up some blinis, biscuits and crème fraiche. And of course, had to get Beluga Vodka! So happy they carried it here!! I invited one girlfriend over for a sentimental celebration. And we had such a nice time. 4oz was more than enough for the two of us! I met the owner Alex today for a tasting - he kindly guided me through some black caviars and was incredibly knowledgeable about his craft. As imagined, it was delicious. The store and its offerings are well thought out with an assortment of speciality European/Baltic treats. What sets this store above the rest, they package your caviar in a cooler with ice packs and a special spoon (metal spoons interfere with the taste!). Yes, you heard me right. Wonderful store and delicious caviar! The door is locked, so you have to ring to be let in which I completely understand given the beautiful glass pieces surrounding the store. I came in to quench my caviar craving, but I'm honestly new to the whole thing as I grew up in the midwest never eating it. We (my sister and I) were given a tasting of three different black sturgeon caviar, so I was able to taste the differences between the options. They all have their unique positives, but it was the Ossetra Royal that won tonight due to the nice briny flavor. The Ossetra Reserve was more mild and the Sirberian Supreme was much more buttery. Both delicious options if the occasions call for them, but all had a great crisp/pop. I received a free mother-of-pearl spoon and cooler pack with ice blocks with my purchase. Very nice for picking up! I also added on the crème fraiche and bilini. The bilini are frozen and the instructions to reheat in the microwave are spot on since they dictate the wattage as well. The 2oz serving was definitely generous and I was able to pile on the caviar tonight. I will absolutely be coming again! My sister even joked "I wonder if they have a loyalty program" because she knew right away we were coming back. read more
