Absolute dental? More like absolute scam. Beware of this place. I don't normally leave the reviews but THEY OVERCHARGE AND COMMIT THE INSURANCE FRAUD. First of all they don't value their clients time. Had an appointment scheduled in 3:30 and waited for 2 hours for them to call my name. But eventually I got my exam and x-rays for which they billed my insurance the same day. Then I paid "20% copay" for dental scaling, which was divided in two appointment. First time my "20% copay" was $144, second time - $129. Imagine my surprise when I went to my insurance's claim center and saw my EOB: the copay that I was supposed to pay was only 35 dollars each time, not 144 and 129. In addition to that they double charged my insurance for the x-rays and oral exam that I never received for the second time. Called them and they said their billing department will call us back and never received the call from them. Instead they called my dad twice early in the morning about my future appointment (I'm 26 and don't live with my dad). Gonna go ahead and write a complaint to the Office of Consumer Healthcare Assistance to get my money back and get the double charge cancelled if they don't do it themselves. Save yourself time and money and go elsewhere. Rip off place with terrible ethics

I consider myself an expert dental patient; especially with the various dental work I've had done. We know our stuff in this family. Especially with my aunt in the industry for 47 years; and two other family members in the industry since the 1960's themselves. I've had my fair share of different dentists and oral surgeons. I am SO happy and pleased with my experience with Dr. Degan and his office!!!He has a great and comforting demeanor. After our first visit, I was confident I'd be in good hands. And felt there was trust there and knowledge and he had expert and gentle hands. (Important)! And he is passionate about what he does. Even more important. Ang, (I think she may be the office manager?) she made my appointment and really was TOP notch! She cares about the patients, their needs, answers their questions, is considerate of their time. And has a lovely bedside manner. Martn, the anesthesiologist was calming, kind, gentle, and caring. I was so nervous about anesthesia and he had me feeling good and calm, before I even sat in the down! Got me a warm blanket and was again wonderful. The nurse that helped me from the chair, personally walked me to the waiting room, after my oral surgery. I feel so blessed to have found this office. I'm off to take my "emergence-c" daily now (this is what I personally always do after a procedure. As it has helped me heal much faster). That's my personal tip.

Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Communication Failures and Improper Cancellation of Scheduled…read moreProcedure I am sharing this publicly as a mother who cannot tolerate the negligence shown by this dental office. I have full proof of emails and documentation to support my experience. Speaking to them is like trying to explain the ABCs and numbers to someone--they simply cannot comprehend basic communication. On January 23, my son was seen for a consultation with Dr. Degan. X-rays revealed that a retained baby tooth needed extraction before his scheduled orthodontic brackets on January 30. This extraction was time-sensitive for proper orthodontic treatment. An appointment for extraction under anesthesia was scheduled for February 13. During the scheduling process, I felt rushed through paperwork and was not provided with full information. Despite repeated requests for anesthesiologist contact information to discuss questions about my son's care, the office repeatedly told me the anesthesiologist would only call the day before the procedure. After many attempts, I was finally able to speak with the anesthesiologist, who addressed all my questions and confirmed the procedure was cleared. Despite this, I was later informed that the appointment could not proceed because the office mistakenly reported that I had canceled it. As a result, the procedure was postponed, and no new date could initially be confirmed. At no point did I request to cancel the appointment. My concerns were solely about ensuring my son's safety and understanding the procedure. Miscommunication by the office caused unnecessary delay and stress. The negligence toward a child is deeply disturbing. Parents, especially those with children who have special needs, please be cautious when considering this practice. Misunderstandings here can have real consequences for a child's health and treatment. I am extremely grateful to my son's dentist and his orthodontist and their staff, whose responsiveness and efficiency expedited the referral and ensured my son could be seen sooner, helping to prevent further delay in his treatment. I hope there will be consequences for their undue actions and unprofessional behavior, as this level of negligence should not be ignored. I will continue to post, repost, and share my concerns with those I know who need care. Although this practice claims to prioritize safety and comfort, my experience indicates that it has not consistently met these standards. When I spoke with the office staff, I felt dismissed. Communicating during this process felt like driving into constant road rage--every attempt to explain myself was cut off before my point could be understood. When I spoke with the anesthesiologist, the conversation felt clear, direct, and reassuring. Questions were addressed efficiently, and we were able to understand each other in a straightforward way. It wasn't complicated. In contrast, interactions with the office staff and manager have felt rushed and procedural and requests for clarification or support seemed to be dismissed. This approach doesn't align with effective patient care. There's a noticeable difference between communication that supports understanding and engagement, and communication that simply goes through the motions. Clear, patient-centered communication makes a significant difference, and I hope this can be better reflected in the office experience. Many reviews mention that communication is key--and I wasn't surprised. The staff and manager lack it. It felt like walking into a swap meet: minimal explanation, abrupt offers, and little clarity. I didn't understand much of what was being said. In the end, I'm glad we didn't proceed with the procedure. There's no winning or losing here--it'a about patient safety and comfort. Fabrication and false claims about cancellation are serious matters and should be taken into consideration! I don't understand why something so simple--being able to speak with the anesthesiologist to ask questions or address concerns--has to be so difficult. It's not a major medical issue; it's just basic communication, and patients should be able to do this easily. By posting your business on Yelp, you acknowledge that the platform exists for people to post reviews and respond to others' feedback. "Despite decades of education and experience--beginning with his studies and career at NYU in 2003--what value does it hold if the only people you rely on are those you hire? I stand by my words as true and valid, because nothing is more important than my child. When a parent is not allowed to ask questions about the treatment process, it goes beyond mere oversight; it represents a fundamental failure to provide appropriate care from the very start." "How can they remain so calm and assured, as if nothing could stop them from mistreating others? Any values they may have once held seem meaningless compared to and false assurances they continue to provide."

I was referred out by my dentist call "Smile Designers" All my life I have had to have oral surgery for one reason or another. Now, I am in my late 60's finding myself again in the oral surgery chair. I had this one last tooth to be extracted, and it was a very big one. I cannot tell you how wonderful and understanding this crew was with me! Dr Daccache is an amazing person, not only dentist. When he came in the room I was crying like a little girl. He smiled and sat down next to me, and he promised me in a soft voice that he would be as gentle as he could be. I have terrible veins, he took my her that hand and said that it will be ok, he told me just relax and breathe slowly. I looked at him, as I felt that I was gently slipping easily away. When I woke up, my adoring husband was driving us home. When we got home, he helped me out of the car and up the stairs to our house. My husband gave me a cup of tomato soup and a ginger ale to drink. A couple hours later, one of the team members called to see how I was getting on. I told her that I thought the entire staff was empathetic to my needs. I did not have excess blood and there was literally no swelling at all! That I was resting very comfortably. If you ever need to have extraction's and have high anxiety like I did, this could be the place for you to go!
