My son and I have been coming here since 2022 & we absolutely love it! We fear the dentist for so many reasons but the staff and the office, it's so comfy, the staff is 11 out 10!!! & hands down 5star service. Worst dentures ever! I had to give one star but I used the real numbers below. The good: the staff is nice and friendly. The bad: just about everything else. Time Spent: Minus 10. I went into Edge Dental for my 4th pair of dentures. So I know the process. What I got was 4 months of trying to make the worst fitting dentures I've ever had actually be usable. I even thought they might have given me someone else's! After numerous trips into the office with still no progress, they finally made an appt for one of their technicians to meet with me. It took him seconds to see what the problem was. The teeth had been set in a thick layer so that they were literally too large for me. The tech fixed them, but I had the whole fitting process to do again.. Unlike every other fitting I've ever had, this place didn't use the white stuff to show where trouble spots were. I finally gave up making a long drive in. I used my nail buffer to carefully fix the set bit by bit. Over 4 months and finally had to fix them myself. Quality: minus 8. I have always had very well-made dentures. I replaced them to get better alignments and not because they broke. These are made from sub-standard materials compared to all my previous sets. There is minor marveling near where the teeth and gum section meet. I'm expecting full cracks at any time now. Not even 18 months has gone by. Appearance: Minus 7. I mentioned that the teeth themselves seemed overly large for my mouth. they looked more like men's teeth. My concerns were brushed away. Even when I showed the difference with my old set. No one felt it was worth their time to ensure my teeth looked good. Overall: this set has to last me a few years yet. I'm not at all sure they will. They are not worth the money I had to spend. If you need dentures and want a good look with good durability, skip this place. read more

Absolutely awful experience. I went in expecting around a $200 copay for a routine cleaning. When I got there, I was told it would actually be $500--something I never would have agreed to for a basic teeth cleaning. When I questioned the sudden increase, the staff member claimed she had already gone over this with me and that I agreed. That is completely untrue. I would never agree to a $500 copay for a simple cleaning--that's unreasonable. I tried to explain there must have been a misunderstanding, but instead of helping or clarifying, she was rude and dismissive. Then it got worse--I was told I had two options: pay the $500 and proceed, or don't go through with it and still pay a $500 cancellation fee. That felt incredibly pressured and misleading. At no point was this clearly explained beforehand, and it left me questioning how these charges were being added in the first place. I would strongly recommend going somewhere else. I scheduled a routine cleaning at Edge Dental on Blue Diamond Rd. after my insurance changed. Despite clearly requesting a standard cleaning, I was told I "needed" a deep cleaning--an expensive procedure I've only had once, five years ago. When I declined and asked for a regular cleaning, the office refused. Their policy was deep cleaning or no cleaning at all--something about Standard of Care. I paid out of pocket to see my former dentist for a second opinion. I had a thorough exam with X-rays. He confirmed there was no clinical indication for a deep cleaning. I'm 74 and have had reliable dental care my entire adult life. I know when something is wrong--and when something is being pushed. This office denied me the right to refuse what I believed was an unnecessary procedure and tried to upsell a $1,300 treatment instead of providing the routine cleaning I requested. That tells you everything you need to know. I called my insurance company. I was told that this deep cleaning is becoming a trend. I can see why. For the well-being of others, I will take this further. To Edge Dentistry, do not respond that "we only take your health as our number one..." I have been in the health care business for over forty years. I know the standard of care. You are taking advantage of that standard. read more

The dentist, and his staff did a great job on removing my wisdom teeth, and giving me the upmost care at the time. Unfortunately, I develop constant pain on my right side, it's keeping me up at night, and the pain is starting to move all the way up to my ear, and the temple of my head. To keep it short the lady I spoke to on the phone, lacked empathy for my case. I understand she wanted to be direct, and straightforward. Instead she came off very rude, and her demeanor made me more upset, and confused. She refused to reschedule an appointment sooner, one being that the next time the doctor that extracted my teeth would only be back till the 27th. My dentist unfortunately can't help with my case, because he didn't do the procedure. So now I'm stuck in so much pain till the 27th. If you're looking for any sort of extraction, recommend planning these things ahead, and ask the proper questions before. Unless you want to end up waiting in pain for the dentist out of town, and seems to be the only one to help you. read more

Although the periodontist is amazing, Jasmine is awful to deal with. She is a bully, abusive, argumentative, raises her voice, and just an overall terrible person. She screamed at me that I can't have my kids come with me - after I was in the lobby for 25 minutes with my kids and never said a word. If you can communicate with anyone else, do so. I've tried many dentists out here in the southwest. They all lacked genuine care, hospitality and tried to push to upsell me like i'm at a used car dealership. Edge Dental is NOT like that. I feel cared for, not rushed, and they actually remember the small details about me that make this dentist feel like what a neighborhood dentist should be like. I decided to get my braces done here because of Abby! She's amazing! She shared her own experience with me and explained the pros and cons of Invisalign and braces so clearly. She's also incredibly skilled. One time I wasn't seen by Abby, and the wire was left long, poking my cheek. When I came back to have it trimmed, Abby took care of everything. She even trimmed all the other wires just in case, even though they weren't poking yet. read more

After extensive x rays, photos, and a brief exam I was told I needed a deep cleaning which would cost $500+. I declined, and asked them to do a standard cleaning which would be covered by insurance. A broken tooth is no big deal since there are 31 others, but it happened the same week my regular dentist was on vacation so they referred me to Dr. Sherman at Edge Dental. What a victory that turned out to be! Not only was I seen that very day on emergency (or pity, I looked inbred), they stayed till after 7 p.m. to fix it. Very impressive, the way they took care of someone new to their office. Truth is, afternoon appointments have always caused great anxiety ever since I was victimized by a dentist and assistant who hovered over my face, breathing down on me in stereo with the stench of garlic, onion, hot sauce, wasabi and whatever else they just finished wolfing down at lunch. And with your mouth propped wide open, there's really no defense for the patient in that situation short of regurgitating in their direction. But thankfully Dr. Sherman and Roxanne have the pleasant aroma of fanatics who brush their teeth five times a day. There's something to be said for overkill. At the front desk, Elizabeth and Jasmine are people-friendly and accommodating. Actually all the Edge Dental workers laugh, joke, sing a bit off-key, and seem to enjoy their job. Though I never witnessed it because they had me in a chair staring at the ceiling the entire time, I'm convinced the staff lurks around the hall closet and snorts an ocassional hit of nitrous oxide from the canister...unless they're just naturally that goofy. Also have to commend Edge for the impressive cleanliness of the exam room. All the post-Covid germaphobes would probably declare this dental office a 'sanitized success' with its white walls, white ceiling, and white lab coats. Check them out for all your dental needs, it's worth the drive to Blue Diamond. read more

Wow!! I can't even begin to express how amazing the entire team is here! From the friendly ladies at the front desk, to the knowledgeable & compassionate dentists/assistants handling the operations. I came in on a 30min notice on a Friday afternoon, with severe pain from a tooth infection that had been bothering me for a few days. They were able to get me in right away, & their attention to detail, with the level of customer service is unmatched! I also run a business as well, & seeing how they took the steps they did to ensure my needs, as well as my care, were met appropriately, was beyond anything I could ask for! I've always been nervous about visiting the dentist and LISTEN. I went here for a cleaning (my sister came with for emotional support) and the staff was legit. Jasmin at the front desk greeted us and was a gem, she made us feel so comfortable when we checked in and the environment was inviting and welcoming. I hate that I chose this office for my child. I only chose it cause it was close to my house. I did read some reviews not think I would be the one to write one! This place has no empathy and just wants to take your money! My daughters second visit experience was horrible, they sent her home with her mouth bleeding a lot and didn't give her no gauze, when leaving I had to give her tissue cause her mouth was bleeding so much. Her third visit they pulled all her wisdom teeth's and didn't even fax over her prescription. After 48 hours and in pain from the extraction my daughter asked if I can take her prescription to the pharmacy cause they didn't send it in. They give you the prescription to take into the pharmacy, Why? They just pulled all her wisdom teeth's out!! What is wrong with this office!! They couldn't fax over her prescription! Never again will I recommend this office! Wow. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Edge Dental. After getting a quote from another dentist a mile up the road from Edge that was bananas...I got a second opinion from Edge. They came in WAY less than the previous place and took their time to go into detail about every step of what was needed to get me back on track. I am actually even getting more done with Edge than what was quoted by the previous dentist for over $1000 less. They also told me about the no interest option with Care Credit which allowed me to get what I need done quicker and make payments to Care Credit. Just got done with having 2 temporary crowns set up and a deep cleaning on half of my mouth. Whole process was pain free and I was in and out in about 2 hours. I have had both these procedures done before other places and was in pain the whole time and for days after. Not here!! I go back in approx 2 weeks to have the permanent crowns put on and the deep cleaning on the other half...and after the experience today...I'm actually not dreading a trip to the dentist. Everyone from the front office, dental assistants, hygienist, and the dentist herself were so friendly, patient, kind, and just simply amazing. I will never go anywhere else again and am going to try to switch all my kids over to their office as well. 5 stars is not enough. They deserve 10 stars! read more

An A Team. A display of an organized functionality from start to finish is greatly appreciated. Dr. Sherman's coherence to his field of work is optimal. Though I had my headset in, I was still able to faintly hear his conversation with his assist. I love the easiness in between communication. The eb and flow between Dr. and assist are very important keys to keeping an organized environment. And it really helped me keep me cool knowing all was good. I had Root Canal / Filling / & I believe one other thing, though I can not think to the top of my head... It was his holistic, easy approach. To top - A sense of "matter of fact," intelligence. Miscommunication seemed to be the common phase used this morning at Edge dental. The teeth cleaning would be covered by insurance & there would be no cost to me. This is what was told to me on the phone, after they contacted my insurance & called me back to set an appointment. But not after you take work off & come in to have it performed. At that point the long list of things to include the original "teeth cleaning" I called about was not fully covered as they explained to me on the phone. They expressed yes a "teeth cleaning" is fully covered by your insurance. But what you need is a "deep teeth cleaning" which is only partial covered. Okay I expressed, may I please get the teeth cleaning my insurance covers. No. Because what you need is a "deep teeth cleaning", we cannot perform a "teeth cleaning". Fine. After that because I had already taken off work I thought I would just pay out of pocket & have it performed. But the dental hygienist expresses she would only be able to do half as it was a short work day for her. The woman trying to bill you however says no she's mistaken, she can do your whole mouth. I expressed I just talked to her, she said she is leaving shortly, No that's incorrect she explained. What I realized is there was more poor communication taking place right as these employees are working less than 10 feet from one another. I also realized that just as the original phone call happened. This woman was trying to get me to agree to a producer "deep teeth cleaning" that once already started was not going to be able to be finished. Why would she care, her job is to get me to agree to the billing. Regardless if I would then be stuck taking another Saturday off from work all because they can't just ask one another & reconfirm work hours with each other. Everyone was very polite, the establishment was very clean and well kept. But I would warn family & friends not to go to this particular dental establishment. I just feel like you would be better off going to one that cares more about clear communication. I'm sure now that the employees job from the original phone call is to get you to come in for an appointment at all cost. The woman doing the billing must get you to agree to as much as possible at all cost. Just like when you have a car diagnostic & they want you to do everything. Regardless if it can or can't be all performed right then and there like you originally asked for & expressed you wanted. I will not be stepping foot again into this Edge Dental. First off I have to say that I highly recommend this business!!! They're all awesome & very friendly!! I wasn't there very long at all !! In & out quickly!! The receptionist Jasmine was so sweet and very helpful with getting my appointments set up, she helped me with the dental plan & help me understand the whole procedure & the cost! Then I meet with the dental assistant Gladdy Mae, she was so sweet, very gentle with the X rays & very informative about everything she was doing! She made me feel very comfortable being at the dentist & we chatted like we've been friends for years! Then I met with the Dentist Dr Sherman & he is awesome! He's very chill & has a warm welcome! He lets you decide what you want done cosmetically but with his input the dental plan came out perfect!! He is letting me pick out my shade & shape of the teeth (unlike some dentist just don't even speak to you) he was very helpful & very informative of my dental plan & the procedures I will be going through! Do not go here! Trust me. They canceled FOUR appointments on me (one for fillings, 1 for a cleaning, and then 2 more cleaning appointments), they are way more expensive than other dentists (they only produce crowns on site for an additional $300, so the root canal and crown cost $1300 with decent commercial insurance), and they are rude and unprofessional when you express frustration about their frequent cancellations. I've literally never had a dentist cancel multiple appointments. It's 5 mins from my house and they are not worth it. I don't know if they feel entitled or what, but they obviously feel that they have enough clients to feel zero responsibility to their patients. There is no shortage of dentists in the area, so I'll take my insurance and wallet and go elsewhere. And I'll tell anybody who will listen about my poor experience with them. They will find that people in the Southwest talk to each other quite a bit. I was in a meeting when I found out they'd canceled yet again, and a colleague of mine who also lives in Mountains Edge said oh, Edge Dental? They are terrible, I go to Summerlin. And guess what? After a poor experience elsewhere, as in problems getting questions answered, messages returned and the Oral Surgeon forgetting to call in my medication, I found Edge Dental. I could not be happier. I was in need of some major procedures and the HMO my employer sent me to felt more like a "dental factory". Not for me.
