Have used Absolute Plumbing and Drain twice.Every year or so get roots in my sewer pipe. Year an half ago had them out, wish i could remember employees name.Very helpful, found to be honest an very through. Had them out again today.Scott was the person who did the work.Again very honest an helpful.Same price as a year and half ago.Fair price.Have dealt with other plumbers , furnace etc etc. All over the map on prices. If your not educated to the certain problem you can get sold a bunch of stuff. I find Absolute not to be that way. This is why i give them 5 star an make them my go to plumbing company. read more

I am highly, highly recommending Absolute Plumbing and Drain for your plumbing issues. Don't even waste time researching anyone else. From the front office customer service to the plumber they sent out, it was excellent all around. Rod is a friendly, knowledgeable expert at clearing sewer line to street AND discovering there was a smaller blockage between clean-out and bathroom. He got to work immediately to clear both areas and let us know what the causes were-- tree roots to the street, but the blockage to the house was because the clean-out pipe hadn't been installed properly and was 4-6" above the level of the toilet in the house. Rod clearly explained and showed us that when the clog occurred between the house and the street, pressurized water blew the top off the clean-out, but it was too high to be effective in having the water go directly into the yard. It began quickly backing up into the tub and toilet and flooded the tile floor with 2 in. of "grey" water. Rod was empathetic in explaining all this and telling us what next steps were needed to fix the clean-out and toilet. He is a great diagnostician, effective plumber, and wonderful at explaining what was going on. At the front office/Customer Service, Lindsey is a tremendous asset for Absolute. She is very pleasant to talk to, efficient, knowledgeable, and eager to help solve your problem. Lindsey also knows plumbing terminology and function, and accurate price quotes, which effectively shortens your call so that she can get someone out to help as soon as possible. I called, and she had Rod out in less than 24 hours. Lindsey bent over backwards in my case and offered me an (unasked for) discount due to unforeseen difficulty in scheduling that resulted in Rod being a bit late. She was eager to make things right and definitely succeeded. It was a lucky day for Absolute Plumbing when Lindsey and Rod said, "Yes" to their offer to work for Absolute. A couple weeks back, we lost our water supply to her 1950s house. This was due in part, to my own attempt at repairing a leaking valve. I had somehow broken the house Water main, And all my attempts at repair we're failing. I am not a bad plumber. But I'm not a great plumber either. I called several plumbers, but I was impressed with absolute plumbing and drains reputation, their professionalism on the phone, and the price. They had a technician out very quickly, and Larry their technician, quoted me an excellent price for the repair with a 30 day guarantee. He got right to work, and did an excellent repair job. Unfortunately I forgot to mention to Larry, that I have a well on the property. Because of this there is a backflow preventer on my main water line that always keeps pressure on to my house. So his repair failed after a few hours. He came back twice more, before he discovered the backflow preventer. My apologies to him for this. His final repair, West of course, perfect. He did not hesitate to return when I had a problem, and I was contacted by the company several times, to see if everything was OK. I like that kind of professionalism. I had of the questions they were happy to answer that were unrelated to the repair they did.In the long run, they saved us money, maybe the plumbing better than it was, and a pleasant and professional and courteous. Woke up to a flood in our garage this morning. Thanks drain sink connected to our washing machine...not! After calling a few plumbing companies finally connect with Absolute and found they were able to come within two hours and at a very competitive price. Al showed up early and quickly identified the problem and had it fixed within the hour. He was very kind, professional, and jovial. He even took the time to identify a few other problem areas (not plumbing related) that we might want to take a look at. I used them a month ago to clean the main sewer to the street at my house. They showed every promise of being a great company. Came out as agreed and snaked the drain for the amount quoted. Two weeks later they are back again for the same drain that was clogged again. Two weeks later the same clog and they won't even answer their phone it goes straight to voice mail. All I ask is please charge me a fair price to fix the problem. If it isn't fixed come back and get it right. read more

The lateral sewer line outside my gate was overflowing! I called the city of Orinda, they sent someone from the contra costa sanitary dept ,he took a look and told me that the section with the problem was not the main line and that I have to take care of it myself. I asked him for a reference and he told me to call the Absolute plumbing company . These guys were great! They were efficient, punctual, pleasant and very reasonable. Absolute was available when no one else was. and they fixed my problem quickly and professionally! I started project changing my bathroom fixtures and had a problem getting my old copper drain out from one of my bathrooms. That's when I ended up calling Absolute. They came out within an hour. Not only did they get that one bathroom completed quickly but found that I had an issue with the hot water valve in the other bathroom that I would not have been able to repair myself as well. We called Absolute plumbing after having a leak in the wall from the hose spigot in the back yard, rod arrived earlier than expected and immediately went to work fixing the problem. After the repair was complete he did a complete plumbing inspection, which I could not believe just how exact he was checking every part of the plumbing in my house. Teflon tape cost $177.00 for 10 minutes . My husband applied too much pressure taking hose off and in doing so caused a small leak. We replaced the broken part with new one. Unfortunately it continued to leak. Figured he might of broken a bigger part. Thought it best to get a professional. Called Absolute plumbing. Nik came out ( great nice guy) He was able to put some Teflon tape around the leaking area and screwed the new faucet we bought back on and like that It was fixed. Total labor 5 minutes. We were charged for a full hour of work . The company should of explained the price before starting. Now I know not to use them or suggest to anyone in need. Too bad they opted to not see it was a very small problem and charge half. read more

Fantastic experience with Al from Absolute Plumbing. Our toilets started over flowing and we had water bubbling up in the bath. Called Absolute at 5.30pm and Al came round an hour later and worked solidly for 3 hours until the problem was fixed. It was a warranty issue but we called Absolute that came out literally within 45 min @ close to 8pm. 5 stars easily. I had a bathroom sink that was totally clogged with my twin daughters' hair. They got me in immediately. Scott was my technician and he was absolutely great. He walked me through everything he was doing so I understood what was going on, and when he needed to go get an uncommon replacement part (which I knew it was) he stopped the clock and made sure i wasn't being over charged. He made sure everything was put back together the right way so that I wouldn't have to call anyone to come back and fix it. The whole time he was working I could tell he was trying to save me money and looking out for me, and it was authentic and genuine. I was really struck by how honest, forthcoming and trustworthy this company was. My kids continue to shed and Absolute will be the first people I call to fix anything that pops up, without fear of being taken advantage of. read more

Don't go with this company. When I called and explained the problem, I had to pay a $30.00 fee before they would come out. Then I was told $195/hour. I said okay. Let's get this resolved. It was all guess work when him and his apprentice when he came out and then there were calls between the "boss" and this plumber, Larry. Everything was, "I have to check with the boss". Are you a plumber that can think for yourself or not! Finally I said okay, let's replace a small valve in upstairs bathroom. He didn't have the part of course. He comes back from the plumbing supply, does the work and hands me the bill of almost three hundred dollars. He over-charged me for this small piece he used of $118.00! On top of $195. I was floored. While we were deciding whether to fix this (and it's not fixed by the way and I think he knew it) he tells me, oh, I have to call the boss again and see if I have to charge you a "diagnostic fee". I never would have paid that. Is he kidding? He's a plumber for Christ sakes! That would have gone to court for sure. He cleaned me out (a single woman of course). Never use this company. Its all about the almighty buck and not leaving a customer feeling good about a service (barely) provided. read more

Had attempted a "minor" repair--replacing faucet supply hoses--and ran into issues due to the age and non-standard nature of the existing installation, not to mention my limited skills. By the time I realized I was over my head I was beyond the point of no return and couldn't turn the water back on at all. I called a couple of plumbers I'd used before but both couldn't come for 4 or 5 days. I found Absolute on Yelp and called about 4pm. An extremely pleasant young lady said "no problem" and arranged for a plumber to come between 5 and 7. He was there at 5:30, scoped out the problem, proposed a price (quite acceptable) for the fix and had it done in about 90 minutes, including reassembling stuff I'd taken apart that weren't part of the main problem. Very nice guy, too. The next day, I had a tiny drip from one of the new valves he'd installed and from the trap I'd detached and he reassembled. I called and spoke to another very polite young lady who apologized and offered to send someone right over. I was on my way out so we arranged the call for the next morning (a Saturday). Two plumbers arrived right on schedule and spent an hour tightening, replaced a couple of suspect parts and the leaks were completely stopped. No charge. Then the next workday I received a call from yet another pleasant young lady making sure I was satisfied with the follow-up work. Wow. read more
